Features : 10
There are just two features: the superb pickup and the ultra-slim phantastic neck. That's it. You get the optimal combination.

Sound : 10
I have been playing for 25 years now -- solid R'n'R. I own several very nice Fenders and Gibsons. The Charvel is nothing like these guitars -- it has its very own sound, certainly not Les Paulish. Clear, transparent and aggressive.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar was perfectly set-up and in tune. No flaws whatsoever.
Ther is just one thing: the tremolo is old school and heavy bending gets the guitar out of tune easily.

Reliability/Durability : 10
There is just one statement: I use it as my only (!) guitar on gigs.

Beautiful Cherry Burst, stunning flame top. Strat Style old school brass tremolo system, gold schaller tuners, Fender approved strat neck birdseye maple. Made USA in 2004. One custom wound Duncan pickup, one tone knob. Features is not fair category to rate this guitar, you should know what you are buying, it is what it is! Dont buy it as your only axe but if you are fortunate to get one, you should if you are a fan of old hot rod charvels.

Sound : 10
Screams Van Halen, I play all rock and roll of various styles. I use it with a mesa boogie road king series two combo, aphex exciter, TC G System and occasional Boss SD1. Again variety is not what you buy this guitar for! It is a little on bright side sound wise.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
It came perfect right out of the box, set up where I dont have to touch it. I purchased through world class guitars in las vegas. Top is really nice book match flame and not a flaw on her. I usually set up all my guitars but this was done right from the dealer.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Construction is real solid, finish is real solid, dependable without a doubt. I have owned too many guitars over the last 30 years. Still own 11 (funny this is serial number 11) and I just got her today. Good Solid Axe

Customer Support : 10
I have called fender on other ocassions and have never had an issue. Always helpful I own a Jackson, Gretsch, Strat, Tele and now this.

I have been playing for long time (30 years) owned lots of gear. I would definitely buy another if it were lost or stolen. I have seen a few reviews on this guitar (musicians friend) that werent too kind but it seems like those buyers didnt understand what they were getting. it is pretty obvious upfront. If you are looking for an old school hot rod guitar to play as well as collect. This is a great guitar. The neck is one of the fastest I have owned. It sounds and looks killer. It does NOT sound like a Les Paul, It does not sound like a strat. If you want that sound but those guitars I own them also. It is expensive but what decent guitar isnt? Sure I wish it were less but again it is what it is. You can build a similar for less sure and if thats what you want to do, go right ahead and buy parts. It's a limited run guitar, will it retain its value?? who knows? I buy guitars to play mainly and hopefully retain good resale value. I never hold on to them long enough for them to go up.
