Bought in 1995. 14-fret cutaway dreadnought with pickup system (3-band equalizer and volume control). Solid spruce top. Hexagon pearl inlay on fretboard. Also rosette pearl inlay. Bronze tuners. Definitely a very beautiful guitar.

The guitar is quite loud and has good treble. Bass and middle, however, less distinct and full. I play a lot of James Taylor, Paul Simon, Paul McCartney, Stephen Duffy, The Barenaked Ladies. So...both finger-style and strumming.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Action is very high, which I've only begun to take notice of. ;-) When I first bought it, I just played it without knowing anything about high or low action. I've learned since then...!
Otherwise the guitar has been a great companion for the last 10 years, playing at home, with bands, in studios, on records, etc. It has suited my needs up 'till now.

The guitar still looks great, and nothing has been changed yet. I've used it for live playing many times without problems.

I've been playing for about 15 years - 10 years with this guitar. I love the simple and beautiful looks. There are a few cosmetic features, but no too much - very tasteful. I've only compared it to my friends Seagull S6, thinking my guitar had a more full and rich sound. But this might have to do with the strings, since I use heavier strings, change them more often and I'm more selective than him.
Next week I'm getting a Martin D-28, so naturally the Cheri will now be a backup guitar - but a very good one at that...!
