I play many different genres from blues and rock n roll to metal
it has a great blues sound and you can get some awesome sounds for a kind of maiden sound.
on the humbucker settings its not noisy at all but you get a slight buzz when you run it through the coil settings

i have been playing for 4 years and this is my third guitar.
i run it through a peavy bandit and use effects like a cry baby and metalzone and it sounds great.
id definatly get it again
i compared it to a fender highway strat and a PRS i thought it sounded and played better.

I'm really pleased with this guitar. I'd never heard of them but was a Maton fan and in the market for a dependable and unique electric with a flexible sound. It's easy to play and I can't get a bad sound out of it - amazing! It has heaps of tones and distorts cleanly. It has a couple of buzzy strings which I'm confident will be eliminated with some set up. I love it! It reminds me a lot of my Mosrite Ventures but with a broader and easier to play neck, and it stays in tune better. The Grover tuners are precise - the finish is very high - I probably wouldn't have chosen natural maple but the price was right! Buy one!

I've been playing for 25 years. I own a '63 Mosrite. I couldn't afford to buy another one if it was stolen. I love that it's not a strat or whatever. Also' it's so easy to play and simple in looks and operation. I hate that it wasn't free! I compared it to strats, teles, G & Ls, Les Paul and Epiphones. It was the best compromise of sound, feel, finish and price.

I watched as they tried to smash a test guitar and the body split before the neck detached from the body. And this was after being smashed into the concrete floor 3 times......
