This guitar features the most beautiful 3 dimensional back and sides
I have ever seen on an acoustic guitar. Only Koa wood can give you this kind of figuring and someone at the Collings factory did the right thing on this unique guitar. The top is Sitka Spruce which fits this guitar just fine. The Sitka is actually a great choice for this guitar for it balances the tone of the Koa nicely. Gold tuners on this
great axe with ebony buttons. This is Bill Collings take on the time honored Gibson LG-00 of a long time ago. He is without a doubt the best luthier of acoustic guitars presently working, no arguement.

What can I say about the tone of this amazing guitar? Words escape me.
I was floored when I opened the case and looked at the wood of the back and sides. What is really unique is the incredible tone of this small bodied cannon. How does he do that? This is without a doubt the best singer/songwriter tool out there. The body is very comfortable,
the neck very playable, and the tone is out of this world!!!

This guitar has a perfect fret job and the back and sides have the most unique figuring. There are no flaws with this modern day Stradavarious.
Reliability/Durability

I don't know about reliability for this guitar. I have only owned it
for a brief amount of time. I will say this, this guitar feels solidly
made without excess weight. One of the reasons I love Koa wood is the fact that it combines the light weight of Mahogany with the punch of Rosewood.

Collings really have no pear. Their guitars are truly the best value in an Acoustic Guitar. One thing-they are not cheap, but in reality can truly be considered a final purchase.
