This is an incredible sounding guitar. I had only heard maple SJ's before, and they are wonderful, but this is on a different level. The stiff Adirondack top has yet to open up, but it is apparent that this guitar is exceptional. It is very versatile. It has the power for flatpicking and responds well to fingers. There's not much it can't do.

Better than perfect, It's a Collings.

The oldest Collings I have was made in '92 and it's still like new. Collings guitars are built with such quality that they should last more than a lifetime.

Been playing 35 years, and this is the best guitar I've ever had. And I've had old Gibson's, 50's Martins, Santa Cruz, etc. The AA Adirondack top was a $1000 upgrade that I probably woould not have ordered, but it is worth it. Nicest piece of Ad spruce I've seen, and it sounds wonderful
