Black glossy poly finish.
The body and neck is 100% Gibson SG style, even better than some epiphones. The headstock is exactly like my gibson classic without the little indent on top (open book, mustache), but I fixed that in hald an hour with a saw and black paint :-) The body is made out of solid mahogany, not very light but sure not heavy!
Chrome tunomatic bridge and tailpiece, very sturdy, not the cheap richwood or johnson crap.
Kluson tulip style tuners with 8 mm holes in the headstock. Very nice and good working.
The neck is thin, not Ibanez like but a bit thinner then my les paul classic. It's made out of solid mahogany (can't see if there is a scarf joint for the headstock though), and a bound roseood neck with pearloid inlays (not the cheap white ones, but like the actual gibsons). Nice medium jumbo frets, no scarp edges sticking out, so dead spots and no buzzing! Also there is a graphite nut. The neck goed up to the neck pickup route. No visible gluelines, so a perfect fit!
Korean made in 2006. It included a guitarcable and a trussrod wrench.
All SG features, 22 frets, 2 volumes, 2 tones and a 3 way toggle switch. 2 humbuckers with chrome covers. The electronics are very good, big CTS style pots and a sturfy toggle switch. No big chunks of solder, very nicely arranged electronics cavity. Very clean routs.

It suits my style perfectly, as I play mostly metal and other guitar related stuff with high gain.
I'm using an Engl E570 preamp and a Mesa Boogie 50/50 poweramp, a tc electronic G-Sharp and a bad horsie wah pedal.
The guitar sounds like a good SG, but not too muddy like some old ones I tried. There is enough low end but also great high sparkle. It sounds almost like my Gibson les paul classic, although the pickups in the Collins are a bit weak (very vintage PAF sounding).
The clean sounds are pretty good, but I have to try other pickups first as these are weak. I'll replace them soon with GFS overwound Pafs. This guitar can go from bluesy clean and crunch to heavy metal. No noise or squeels on the high gain sounds!

The guitar came out of the box tuned almost perfectly. Very nice setup and perfectly intonated. The action was normal, but I like mine very low, so I lowered the bridge a bit and the setup was still perfect. No fret buzzing and no dead spots. The hardware is very sturdy, not like the most cheap korean made guitars like epiphone.
Everything was adjusted correctly, but I put my pickups a bit closer to the strings for more output.
The finish is a thin black poly perfectly buffed to a mirror shine. No drips or bad spots. No flaws or whatsoever!
One thing though... the tune o matic bridge wasn't angled like most guitars, but it is parrallel to te pickups and the tailpiece. But still the intonation is perfect and the saddles aren't alligned weird or something.

I will use this live as a backup and 2nd drop D guitar. The hardware is very sturdy and tight. The strap buttons are tight, the finish looks very durable. I think I could use it without a backup (after I replace the pickups). Although I never go to a gig with just one guitar :-)

I have ordered from Musik Produktiv before and the customer service is good. No problem whatsoever.

I've been playing for 15 years. I build my own guitars, own a couple of Ibanez jems and a Gibson les paul and other brand les pauls.
If it were stolen I would buy another one instantly!
I love the feel of the neck, the light weight, the sound and ofcourse the cheap price!
Compared to a real SG I would say this one come damn close!!
I wish it had hotter pickups like the gibson 500T :-)

h/h config. Pickups are very low output and sound pretty much like my pet (falkon parasite) farting.

I play an Engl pre- and a Boogie poweramp with a TC G-force.
Although the guitar is sturdy (I can stand on it), it's a cheap knock-off of a real Richwood SG.
The only reason this guitar sounds ok, is because I'm such a great player.

The setup was horrible. Can't get a low action, but then again, I'm so good I don't need no low action.
The finish is the only thing about this guitar that's acceptable. Everybody knows Poly sounds so much better than nitro. I'm sure the thick layer of poly will contribute to a better sound

Well, after playing this guitar for 15 minutes I realize it's a cheap POS and a complete waste of my money.
