Good pickup. Lousy finish. so-so hardware.
THe sound i got out of this guitar was pretty incredible, considering these Chet style guitars sell for about $1400. But the wood used in the body, and the finish are terrible. I can dent this guitar by pushing my finger in hard enough. scratches like no buddies bidness. The hardware is decent enough. No real cmplaints except they aren't so sturdy.

Sounds very very close to the Gibson Chet Atkins model. SOunds very much like an acoustic. It can also get a pretty good warm sound, that i can use for jazz.

Very poor quality wood. Bad finish. But other then that. this thing was pretty solid except for the bridge...

Hmm...what can I say here...nothing good really. Maybe if i was the original owner of this guitar there would be better to say, but right now, this guitar is useless to me. The bridge is cracked, right down the center of the pegs, so the pegs wont stay in unless i use .009 gauge strings. And even then, i cannot bend a note the way I normally would. Along with that, my favorite part of the guitar is all screwed up...The pickup! totally uneven sound! 6th string is so loud, 4th and 5th string are so quiet...terrible disapointment.

This a a "Chet Stlye" electric-acoustic designed to be more electric than acoustic. 1.5" thick body with no sound chamber to speak of but sports a piezo bridge pickup and strings like an acoustic with a peg bridge. With 24 standard frets, a single cutout, gloss black finish with white trim and unique dove shaped inlays in the rosewood fretboard, this guitar has the playabilty and feel of a thin acoustic. The tuners are Cort brand named and hold a good tuning. I don't know the year or body materials. There are tone and volume controls. If anyone has other information on this Model, I'd appreciate an email.

My music style is quite varied and this guitar fits the pop acoustic style nicely. It tends to be quite bright since it is a piezo bridge pickup. There is no preamp as the signal is direct from the piezo so it needs a very high input impedance amplifier to maintain good low end response. Warming EQ will have to come from the amp but it can be done easily. The sound is similar to some of the early Ovation "bowl body" electric-acoustics.

Solidly built in Korea. The neck is straight, playable with a heavy solid feel throughout. Strap buttons are well placed and balanced. Although Cort generally seems to have a less than professional reputation, I have no misgivings about the quality of this Model.

I would have no problem with being the only guitar at a gig. I have no doubts that it would do fine. It's already survived many years in rough handling before I got it. The finish has endured very well.

Bought the guitar used. I have tried to get information from Cort off their website and found no reference to this model. An email to them got no response so I'm imagining that Cort owners may be basically on their own.

I've been playing for 35 years at various levels. While not "pro" by any means, I do my own setup, repairs and modifications. I play more for enjoyment and am involved in about a half a dozen groups simultaneously including big band, rock, jazz, orchestra and worship styles. I have several other guitars covering solid body, thin jazz hollow body and
acoustic sounds. If lost, I'd quickly mourn the loss of a good value and move on.
