I have a 2008 Korean made model. Not sure what type of wood was used for this guitar. It has a set neck that is finished on the back to blend with the gothic finish on the body. The finish is incredibly smooth and allows for great neck movement. It is equipped with two active EMG pickup. There is a switch to toggle between the pickups or use both. It has a volume and tone knob, both are metal and have rubber rings for better tactile feel. The tremolo system seems okay and is relatively easy to tune.

Sound : 10
The guitar actually produces pretty nice sound. It generates anything from a clean tone to a crunchy distorted tone. Even when distorted the sound is crisp. I have not noticed any buzzing or other problems. The set neck produces great sustain and harmonics.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Everything on the guitar appears to be nicely crafted. Someone took the time to pay attention to the details on the guitar I got. The finish is awesome. The guitar has a large cross and pentagram inlays that appear to be mother of pearl. It looks great. No edges on the frets or signs of glue. The frets are beveled and polished. The volume and tone knobs were not secured and fell off during play. I put a drop of glue on each to hold them in place. The action was set too high approaching the bridge. Some adjustments have been made and now the action is great. The set neck is well done and I don't seem to have any difficulty reaching the higher frets as one earlier commentator had mentioned.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I have only had it for about 6 months, but it feels pretty solid.

I rate this guitar very highly given the price at which I purchased the guitar (around $600). I have been playing off and on since the early 80s and have played many different guitars; including Fenders and Gibons. This one is among the best I've played. The more I play it, the more it grows on me. It is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites. I really like how responsive the guitar is - its like a part of me when I play it. Notes flow effortlessly.

Bought for 525$ + gigbag, brand new, 2007. This guitar has two EMG humbucker pickups, a double locking Korean version Floyd Rose II tremolo system and set neck construction with smoothed heel (it is still steep for me 'hough). Active pickups is a plus and hardware is good quality, although PU rings a little worn off and it has been only a month since I bought this (new). 24 jumbo frets. Grover tuners and top locking system.

There are inlays round out. Neck has pentagram and cross inlays as well as the knobs.

Cool looking guitar, nice gothic finish.

EMG's sound good but I just couldn't put my finger on it, they don't sound as good as my Schecter C-1 (which is also Korean and also has EMG's on it). I really don't know what it is (poor workmanship??wiring problems??), there is an obvious volume and contour difference in sound. I bought this online and now I think I shouldn't do that anymore. When I saw this I just thought that there are active EMG81/85 set on it so it should be good. But not really. Pickups are powerful but very treble, after some time they become incredibly muddy. I am planning to take this to my luthier asap, but let me tell you, having a serious sound - tone problem on a brand new guitar is not a good experience.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
Finish is awesome, I really like gothic finishes and this is a good example. It is flawless and cool looking guitar.

Overall workmanship is good but it's neck is where the quality suddenly drops. Frets are jumbo and they are OK quality (I am 100% sure they are not Dunlop's), but you can actually see some sealant bits and pieces everywhere on the fretboard, they are not properly polished away. Fret-ends on both sides are not properly cut either (some round, some not). Very sloppy quality control! From a distance it looks good but actually this neck is not a very good one and playability is around %70 imho. Whole neck really needs a face lift.

Reliability/Durability : 7
Components look not bad in quality, except pickup rings. I am not sure this finish will last for a lifetime, it is not very thick, Or maybe it is I don't now since it is completely matt but it looks gorgeous anyways.

Overally, at least for now, it looks quite solid to me. Strap buttons are fine. Also guitar stays in tune, thanks to locking nuts.

no idea.

Playing since 1988, mostly heavy metal, rock, thrash, etc. Heavy stuff. I have made a good list of 19 guitars since 1988 and I will not list all of'em here but my favourites are my 1997 ESP custom Mirage and my 2002 Gibson Flying V. This is a nice 2007 Korean guitar. I also have Schecter C-1 and it really rocks although it is also a Korean guitar. It is not a big issue for me but some players (most of the players around me I should say!) prefer high end USA models. I am not one of them. It is not because I don't have the money, it is because I don't wanna give a little fortune for an USA model while I can buy nearly the same guitar for a third of the price, even sometimes a better guitar. If a guitar is well made and if it sounds good, it is OK with me. The only thing I look is the smoothness of the neck and the sound. I am not gonna sleep with a guitar.

This K6 looks nice but unfortunately it doesn't play as it looks. Neck is the biggest problem, it is not good for smooth playing, action is a little hug (it rattles when you adjust the height) and frets are not properly finished. Other issue for me is that it has a rounded heel but it is still very steep, it actually stops you when you get higher on frets (or just me I don't know, but I did not like the design of the joint). EMG's sound pretty lame although they are EMG's, but I will hopefully solve this problem in a week or two.

Other than these it is a nice looking guitar and it is cheap.

Made in Korea. EMG 81/85 active set. 24 jumbo frets. Two controls, volume and tone and a three-way pickup selector. Very nice matte black finish and custom inlays. Body: mahogany. It's a neck-thru body, so the neck is mahogany too then. By the look of it i would say it has an ebony fingerboard. It has a floyd rose licensed tremolo. This is one hell of a nice guitar

Sound : No Opinion
I play alot of Iron Maiden and heavier stuff, its not as good for Maiden but this guitar just kills it for anything else heavy. Clean isnt great, but thats what you'd expect from active EMGs. the volume pot tends to be a little scratchy around 9 or 10 but not a huge deal

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Action can go nice and low, pickups perfectly set as was the intonation. I originally had it setup with 10-52s but changed to 9-42s instead. The floyd rose stays in tune almost perfectly once you have it setup right. Only problem is a buzz on first fret of E and A strings. I mostly attribute this to the bad weather hot/cold snaps and im guessing may need a truss rod tightening. Finish is Black Metallic Satin and the fret inlays look sweet.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This thing is built like a god damn tank, you can just know when you pick it up. This is the sort of guitar you'd use for a gig without a backup. Strap buttons are smallish, but use strap locks anyway. The finish on the hardware has started to fade (P/U surrounds and bridge), but it only adds to the total effect of the guitar. The actually satin finish on the guitar is hard as a rock

Customer Support : No Opinion
Its a guitar, how hard can it be

Overall Rating : 10
I've had this for about a year and its hands down the best guitar I've ever played. If it were stolen I would replace it exactly, but I'd almost get a few other guitars as well. I did compare this to an Ibanez rg350dx (the white one) and although that was good, it was no match for the Corts build quality (they actually come form same factory). IMO the Cort would cost at Least $3000 if it had the Ibanez or Jackson logo on it.

My music style is Metallica, Iron Maiden, Nirvana etc.. The EMG's totally rock with this. They are amazing. Together with the neck-thru body you have sustain. Lots of sustain. When i pick an open string i can count to 20 and still hear the echo (on a 15 watt amp!)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Factory setup was good. I bought it in a cort custom shop, so i guess they set it up there, but i don't know that. The action is very nice and low. Little buzz on the low E-string. Not irritating though. As I said, the finish is amazing, matte black, really nice. Custom inlays, very nice too. The only flaw i found on this, was with the volume pod. But that was only affecting the looks, not the performance.

Reliability/Durability : 9
It will last your life. It feels sturdy. And still it's very light. The hardware will last long, but hey, they're emg's. The finish is matte, so no flamed top or whatsoever, so it can't wear off i suppose. Strap buttons are solid enough for my strap, but strap lockers are always good to have. As someone said on review on this site before: Backup guitars are for people with money. But even if i had a backup, i would use this baby without it.

1 year warranty. No other problems yet. So no rating here.

I've been playing for about three years now. The only guitar i've had before this one was a fake strat, not even a squire... and it sucked. So i'm glad i own this one now. It's goooood. If it got stolen, i would cry my eyes out, because i couldn't afford a new one. I would go after the thief, cook his balls in motor-oil, and get my guitar back. I compared this guitar to a PRS SE custom, which was blown away by this one. I compared to a Gibson SG special, it is just as good as the gibson only 300,- cheaper. I compared it to a Godin Artisan if i remember correctly, this one is way lighter. And i compared it to an Ibanez RGA121, i love that guitar too, but i chose the EMG pickups.
