It has a super cleasn satin finish which I love to death. gets dirt eaisly but as long as it is kept up well there is now problem. 1 tone 2 volume. Dual EMG-HZ pickups (which I prefer over the more agressive acitve emg's) It overal a manly, but still sexy guitar. It gives me everything I need.

Sound : 9
I play metal an this guitar is a great compliment to my playing style. Great rich full tone. A wide variety of different things you can do with this guitar. pinch harmonics come out as "dirty" (and by dirty i mean in your face) as you can play them. Great sustain. I am stuck using the volume knob for fade aways. My only consern is that the sustain on some of the notes in the upper range lack that of the lower. but thats a given for most guitars. considering im more of a rythm guitarist It dosent effect me as much.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The only problem i had was factory soldering... yeah whats new? and after a while the screws opn the pick-ups came loose. all it took was a little solder. a couple new screws and I havent had problems since. Action can be easily altered to your liking.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This is a very dependable guitar. after i fixed the facory soldering problems never had a problem. Switched the old strap botons for some strap locks. (perosnal preference) nothing wrong with the old ones. Never real had a problem. the tunning pegs are solid. rarely have to retune between songs. if ever. all around great guitar.

No problems bought it used

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar for 9 years now and I have had this guitar for about 1 to 2 years. dont plan on buying a new one. I realy have nothing bad to say of this guitar. no problems, no difficulties. If your thinking about buying this guitar do it! cort is some what of an unknown name in the guitar industry. but great quality at a graeat price. why spend the extra $500 for a different name on the headstock?

LP shape, Sexy black satin finish, black bits and pieces, strings through body.
One tone, two volumes, passive EMG pickups. works great for me.
Nicely contoured body and neck, gig bag.

Sound : 10
Sounds good, pickups (EMG) sound similar to my LP viintage pickups, mostly on the edge of distortion, a little harder but not harsh, more output than the LP pickups too.
Tone pot has lots more range than my LP's tones although theres only one tone on the Cort, its good though.
I use Tube amps and this works good with them, but can easily overdrive them.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Was set up very good in every way outa the box. plenty lighter than my LP too, which can go against the lighter guitar if you rake chord shapes up or down the neck.

Reliability/Durability : 9
The black satin finish seems pretty tough as I saw one of these guitars take a nasty fall in our local music shop, the wood was dented but the satin finish did not break or fracture, even though one of the tuners got bent in the fall.
I use the Cort alone at gigs (no'ones gonna steal it when your playing it).

Customer Support : No Opinion
Dont know.

Overall Rating : 10
I'm an old man at 58 and it takes something special to catch my interest, the cort guitar was good enough. I'm an old tube amp freak and find this can easily over drive the amp if I'm not carefull. I just see it and feel the need to go play it.
Its contoured body and head stock are sorta sexy (to me) too.
