Top: Solid spruce, glossy.
Back, sides and neck: mahogany.
Fingerboard: rosewood (I guess), with discrete "pearl" markings.
Bridge, nut, pins, pickguard: plastic.
Tuners seems pretty good, no "cheap guitar feeling", holds tune rather good.
"Dreadnought" body.
Steel strings (original strings not very good).
Fishman Classic electronics (4-way eq).
Made in China 2002.
Some minor blemishes, nothing serious. Overall looks pretty good, but not perfect finish. Wires originally glued to the top inside has come loose, but electronics works fine.
Sound

No Opinion
I am not a proffesional musician, but have played more or less for 25 years. I have owned only 2 other comparable guitars. (the others are classic and electric), but I have listened and try a few steels.
Aucustic:
This guitar sounds great to me, very clear, bright; not to much bass and not "hollow". Not at all a cheap sounding guitar.
Plugged:
I have used it for a few gigs and it has worked OK. Some feedback, but ok working equalizer. Also played outside in rain and cold weather, holds up OK.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Rather too high action. Not properly adjusted here and there.
No buzz.
Originals strings not especially good (Chinese, I guess).
Glossy but not entirely perfect finish.
Plastic parts looks cheap.
Top is beautiful bright natural spruce, looks very good and symmetric.
Mahogany sides and back are rather light, but I find them attractive as well.
Fingerboard is flat and looks OK to me. Neck is slim and good to hold.
Electronics panel is a bit cheap plastic, but works OK, you have 4 freq. and a volume.
Reliability/Durability

Owned this under a year when this was written, but I had to write something nice about this guitar. I really like it, but I don't know about its durability.
It is made of several good solid woods, but the plastic and laquer might be less durable. I have (unintentionally!) banged it in some walls and floors, without any trouble.
Battery seems to last forever (but do bring an extra).
Plugs OK.
I have only used 3m cables, I don't know the impedance of the preamp, or how far it reaches.

Not your ordinary cheap guitar. Sound is very good as far as I can tell.
Would recommend this to beginners and rather advanced amateurs.
With regards to sound, I would not be suprised if some professionals bought it as a outdoor / spare.
Not the jewel in the collection, but a good sounding "workhorse" with electronics as well.
