Sounded a bit thin and tinny. I think it had extra lights on it. New strings helped alot! This guitar has great bass response and clear mids and highs. This thing really rings loud and true throughout the full tonal spectrum.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I bought it used. The action is low and smooth, and buzz free. Frets are smooth. Wood grains look nice. The finish looks great. Seems to be a quality made guitar, even though it was manufactured in Korea.

I am a hobbyist so I play at home. I do think this guitar would be 100% giggable. The strap buttons are cheapo but that is an easy, inexpensive upgrade. I am unsure if it has Grover tuners but it stay in tune amazingly well. My rating for this category is based on home playing, not a road/ giging environment.

I have been playing as a hobby somewhat on and off for 15 years. I own a couple excellent quality, american made acoustics. It is unfair to compare this guitar to those, but I really do enjoy playing this guitar and it is a real pleasure to play and listen to. If you are looking for a good, quality 12 string that wont break your bank give one of these a try. They can be had for a great bargain!

Cort Earth 200 12 String Acoustic Guitar. This is for a 2006 model. Very nice. The guitar has a solid spruce top and mahogany back, dreadnought. Beautiful inlay (sp) around the sound hole and the top edging. The tuners are the same/standard tuners used for Takamine guitars. The instrument holds tune pretty well.

Sound : 9
It has a nice rich, dark sound which I look for in an acoustic 12 string. I tend to go for more bass in my acoustics. With a pick it can be "awesomely" loud. I play folk music with a splash of country and celtic mixed in. I also play in drop and alternate tunings. Sometimes the higher strings don't seem to be loud enough when fingerpicking.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Set up perfectly. I enjoy the fingerpicking range and there is no buzz (even with the drop D open tunings) Action is low and stable.

Reliability/Durability : 9
It feels like a very solid intrument. Bracing, neck construction, weight, and overall feel is very comfortable. Not too heavy compared to other 12 strings. Nice laquer finish.

Overall Rating : 10
For the price, this is very comparable to other major brand guitars (Martins, Takamine, Guild, Alveraz, etc.) I would totally recomend this guitar to anyone who is looking for a good solid intrument.

This is a great sounding 12 string guitar. I play for recreation and the sound it puts out is huge. My wife actually told me to turn it down. I told her I couldn't as it was acoustic. The action is great and the finish is top notch. I plays like a dream. I give this an 8 as it has no pickups-doesn't need 'em

Sound : 10
A bright full sound with tons of tonal output and depth. Let that open G ring out.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
the only flaw was the linear appearance of a knot sidways which is apparent for about 6" southwest of the sound hole. I actually don't care because wood is a natural product- sort of gives it some character.

Reliability/Durability : 10
The whole guitar seems extremely solid as my son has knocked it over once or twice without incident.

I've been playing on and off for 32 Years and if lost I would not hesitate to repurchase. I love the simplicity and style and the warm loud tones that it makes. As good or better than many guitars 2 to three times the price that I have tried

This is a 12 string acoustic guitar. It was made in Korea. Solid spruce top i've read, but I can't really tell the difference between woods. Nice finish though. A slighly dull, mat finish - easy to keep clean, no disguisting fingerprints. The 'F' on the model number refers to its being Fishman Equipped. Controls are; 3 band EQ, volume and a seperate 'Mid Freq' control. Has grover machine heads and a little mother of pearl type stuff on the head and at the twelfth fret. I was really impressed with the overall package for this price range.

Sound : 7
I like the way this guitar sounds. I haven't played many other twelve strings, but I know I find something very satisfying in hitting a big open 'G' hard and just letting it ring. Plenty of punch, brightness and respectably wholesome.

I have always played more electric than acoustic. This guitar only gets limited use when I play in a group. Normally we play pretty mainstream, charts type rock. Using the Fishman, and running through a PA it sounds really nice. It maybe sounds a little on the empty, clunky side in this context, but I really haven't spent too much time playing around to get it right. My bandmates are not interested in waiting for me to get a sound that 'I' like.

Being a twelve string, it is a bit lmiting. Its not really useful for some things...fingerpicking or anything that requires some string bending or tricky riffs.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I actually had to order this guitar in. The store that I bought it at had a Fishman 6 string and a non-fishman 12 string, but not the one I was after. It came delivered without any problems - I think it was even in tune... The action was pretty respectably low and comfortable. Overall, the fit and construction were pretty reasuring. I'm afraid I can't think of any gripes here. The finish was pleasant, smooth, attractive. I really like the semi mat finishes.

Reliability/Durability : 7
This guitar is acoustice, so It does reuire perhaps a little more gentleness than my electric. More to the point, I like and son't care to ruin the finish on this one. The hardware is all really good, or at least good for the price. I especailly like the grover machine heads. The finish, being quite dull, I'd say will last. However, I have found that there are some scratch marks on the top of the guitar, where my forearm rests/rubs on the guitar (i've had it for less than a year), thats a concern.

There is only one strap button, this doubles as the input jack for the Fishman. I've meant to put another on, but...I don't know.

Overall, this is a guitar that I trust and would feel confidant to use it without a backup.

Haven't dealt with Cort.

About me. I've been playing for nearly five years (not that long I guess). Other gear, all cheapish i'm afraid - Yamaha 6 string, Samick Les PAul copy with Seymour Duncan bridge pickup. Marshall valvestate combo, digitch Rp7. Jim dunlop cry baby. Boss Chorus. Morley Wah.

If it were stolen or lost, I think I'd miss this guitar. I couldn't afford to buy it again (i'm still a student). If I had the money, I think I'd be inclined to wait around until I could afford a better known brand, this guitar was always going to be a compromise (even though I really do like it).

I like the look and feel of this guitar. Its the only nicely finished guitar I have. I like the sound - I love 12 strings, I had to have one. I also really like Fishmans, I haven't heard anyhting around that I like as much.

It can be a bit awkward to play though, and at times I wish that I'd bought an electric/acoustic 6 string.

When I bought this guitar, price was a very major concern. I was limited to less than $1000AU, and I wanted to have a case as well. I initally planned to get a Yamaha or similar, but was talked out of that after seeing how much nicer guitar I could get for my money with a Cort.

Before I bought this guitar, I had a pretty low opinion of Cort guitars. I didn't take them too seriously. The finish, sound and features of this guitar have made me reconsider. Of course, I'd love to have a brand that everyone would say 'wow' at, but this will do for now.
