Small bodied blues style guitar, solid top, satin finish.12 fret Martin type copy, very plain but that's O.K.,

Sound : 10
I had been looking for a small body blues style acoustic for some time and kept trading along. 1st aYamaha, then an Ibanez (both these had a single cut-away and active piezo electronics)My local guitar shop was just waitig for me to come in so they could get my opinion on the Cort. When I saw it on the wall I went straight to it and haven't put it down since. I believe that the small boby gives better projection and that a cut-away spoils the resonance. I don't like piezo electronics for blues style playing I just use a Dean Markley sound hole pickup that only when I want amplification. This particular guitar absolutely is the best I ever played. It is relatively inexpensive (around $475 cnd.) My friend has a Martin OM and my Cort makes the Martin sound pitiful when it comes to volume and tone keeping in mind that I'm only looking for a delta blues/fingerpicking style guitar. I have two dreadnought style guitars for the pretty full sound, however I don't play them much because I'm really dedicated to blues. This guitar is great, however since I bought this one I've tried other guitars of exactly the same model and make and they didn't even compare (I guess everyone gets lucky now and then). I don't have unlimited funds but I would have paid two or three times that amount to be satisfied, (I play a G@L Legacy Special and an American Telecaster through a tweed 2/12 Fender Blues Deville for my electric rig). If you can try a few of these Cort Earth 200Gc's out you might just find a great one like I did. Could't be happier!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
No flaws. the satin finish has held up well in the year and a half that I've had it. The guitar isn't strikingly beautiful but it's OK. Played great from factory until I changed strings, usually use D'addario's but they just don't work great on this guitar. tried lot's of strings and couldn't get the sound back. finally settled on SIT Royal Bronze and that did the trick.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Everything's holding up good so far.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No cause to deal with them yet.

Overall Rating : 10
Playing for 15 years. My other stuff is pretty high end so this was a real find. If I lost it or it was stolen I would surely grieve. I would try to replace it with same make and model but would not hold my breath for to long because I think I got extremely lucky on this one. Others did not compare (same make and model)
