Same as for the Earth 200 (that is, grover tuners, solid mahogany back etc) but with a solid cedar top. This is not the same as the Earch 200GC, as its a dreadnaught body with pickguard.

A very pretty guitar, especially with the cedar. Nice finish.

Sound : 8
Very nice. It has a full sound, which I think resonates more than the spruce top. It's a loud accoustic, which makes it easier to bash out the tunes. I like blues, and pop/rock (Clapton, Stones, Led Zep), all of which this guitar handles well. I've had the guitar a few months now, and it seems to be getting better (warmer) in sound. The Elixir strings it was sold with might help (it would be interesting to compare them with other strings). Compared to the spruce top, its probably a little brighter, but still rich in its tone. Picking out tunes like Stairway is a pleasure, with its nice resonance and yet sufficiently bright to give each note enough sound. Some of the cheaper guitars on the market just sound like a confused mess of sound, but this one makes a tune distinctive.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The action seemed a little high when I bought the guitar, but either I became more used to it, or it settled in better. It's a comfortable guitar to play, and as I've said, nicely finished. I can't find any flaws. For the price, a fair amount of attention to detail has gone into this. It has a nice neck which can easily be travelled.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I don't play live so I wont pass comment on this. I try to treat my guitars well, but this looks like it could withstand an average bashing. It still looks brand new even a after a few months.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing about a year. I have a Takamine classical, a Martinez accoustic, and traded my Squire strat on this guitar. I love the Maton range of guitars, and my next accoustic will probably be a CW80 or A80. I think I'll hang on to this one though, as it has such a sweet sound, and the cedar top is a little unusual. This is an inexpensive guitar which could easily pass for a much more expensive one. It's a pleasure to play and and it's pleasant on the ear. I'm happy with this. I'll only go as high as 8s as there are nicer (more expensive) guitars on the market, but Cort is definitely on the ball.
