it suited my style perfectly. i had a good feeling about it right when
my brother picked it up and told me to try it. when i used it on the
marshall valvestate in the store it sounded amazing when i ripped out the opening riff to panama by van halen which what i mostly play. I also play Nirvana, Dream Theater, Mr. Big, Poison and some Guns n Roses once in a while. I use the coil tapping to switch to single coils for the mellow bluesy stuff and the humbuckers for the heavy 80's rock soloing. I use it through a fender deluxe 90 which is a pretty good amp but didnt compare to the marshall in the shop.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
it had good action which was not too high or not too low i guess. the pickups seemed adjusted. all in all it seemed well made.

Reliability/Durability : 9
this guitar seems dependable and will be a great tool for rocking out for me in the future. i cant really tell cause i've only had it for about 3 days. my only complaint is how gross the pickguard gets from playing and gets handprints and dust on it so it needs a good cleaning after being played. i bet if i threw it down the stairs it might get chipped or scratched... but i better not.

Customer Support : No Opinion
i really have had anything to deal with cort about so i really don't have an opinion. i think the warranty is a year or something like that.

Overall Rating : 10
i love this guitar. i have a greater respect for cort now. there instruments ever since i tried my brothers cort acoustic i knew they were good instruments. i tried a yamaha, ibanez, squier, fender and i liked this out of them all. if this guitar was stolen i would probably go nutz and go on a murderous rampage until i found they guy that took it. but if i didnt go on a murderous rampage i would definitely buy another i like better than my last guitar a LOT!!!! i use a fender deluxe 90, planet wave cable, boss df-1(i plan to buy the ds-2 later) it gets good sound but through these but i still want a better distortion. the only things i would add would be 24 frets, a shell pickguard and a white finsh. but its not the way the guitar looks but how it sounds.

Loads! Dont know what year this guitar was made but it says its made in Korea on the headstock. It has 22 frets on a rosewood fingerboard with a maple neck (finished in a satin-type finish - nice and smooth :) )It has a sculpted heel, easy to get up the dusty end! It has 3 "duncan design" humbuckers (the hot rail type ones) and 5 way switch and a coil tap on the tone pot. The body is a rather fetching swamp ash affair. I got the au natural model with a great grain. Its a bit like what you'd call a "Super Strat". It has a wilkinson trem and sperzel locking tuners. This neck is the smoothest and nicest neck i think ive ever played. Alot of features i think you'll agree!

Sound : 10
I play mostly blues stuff and if i want to get anything from a robert cray sound to a dirty an' sweet early clapton sound its here! Im using a mesa boogie nomad 45 with no effects and this guitar kicks ass! My main guitar (before this) was a heavily modified fender mex tele. This Cort kicks the tele into the dirt. Hardly any hum whatsoever. Great Buddy Guy tone with the coil tap on and on the neck/middle pickup. Very full sound without coil tap on, lift the tone pot and you get stevie ray, late clapton and cray (depending on where abouts the 5-way is)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I only went in to the shop coz i was bored and needed something to do, ended up buying this beauty for #330. bargain. It plays exceptionaly well, action low, but so low as to make it hard to bend strings without snagging other ones! The grain on my one is beautiful! nice piece of wood! The tuners are great, the nut is weird but great.

Reliability/Durability : 9
This guitar seems well built indeed. I've only had this guitar for a few days but ive done a couple of gigs with it and it was great. Im worried about damaging the finish coz its so nice. I can depend on this guitar i think, as nothings dropped off yet. I never gig without a backup on principle, as anything can and will happen.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never tried. im blessed with a good music shop so they'll sort it out.

Overall Rating : 10
Ive been playing 5 years, i use my tele, a mesa boogie nomad 45, a line 6 flextone 2 and no pedals. this guitar put through a valve amp beats the socks off my mates PRS and Gibson. It also kills my fender. Id never heard of Cort before i got this. I love that this guitar is versatile, any sound you want, this guitar has it. If it was stolen, i would cry for a week or so and then go into a rage, seek out the perpetraitor and kill him/her/it . Its a good guitar. I think this is the best value guitar ive ever played and for #330 its amazing value, theres no need to re-mortgage the house to get a great guitar!

I mainly play rock music, and the guitar is perfect for that. It has a massive low sound if you d-tune your e-string, but never the less the sustain and sound are good all over the range. I play it through a Soldano Decatone with a Vintage 1960 Marshall 4x12 and I like to crank up the gain every once in a while, but both distorted and clean the sound is nice and rich. The push/pull volume knob switches the pick ups from humbucker to sigle coil, and that gives you the variety to play with a real strat sound or a robust Gibson type of sound.
The guitar is light, sound good, looks good, is versatile and I have used it for recordings and on stage and for both it passed the test easily.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Fender and Gibson should learn a lesson from Cort when it comes to fitting and finishing a guitar. I have a very expensive Fender strat plus (1996) and the fit & finish is crap compared to the Cort's. All I had to adjust was the height of the pick ups whereas I had to adjust almost everyting when I brought home that Fender from the shop.
Next to that, the quality of the hardware and the finish is a lot higher than the standard stuff Fender and Gibson use, and the guitar was (only) 450 Euros (= +/- $450). A Fender strat of that quality will cost at least 2000 Euros.

Reliability/Durability : 9
So far I did not have any problems, and I used it for at least 20 gigs now. I realy think this is a reliable mature guitar that endures heavy duty rock performances including sweat, beer and other fluids.

Customer Support : 6
I do not think they offerd me any warranty at the shop, but I realy think I am not going to need it. There was a problen though buying the guitar. I spotted it on the internet but there weren't any guitars available at the shops in Holland at the time. I finaly orderd one through a small shop near to where I live at the risk of buying a guitar that wouldn't anser my expectations. I took the risk and I am glad I did it.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing the guitar for over 20 years, and I have several other guitars (Gibson LP studio with EMG pick ups, Gibson SG with Dimarzio pick ups, Fender strat plus USA with lace sensors, Fender Strat standard Mexico with original and a Dimarzio fast track pick up in the bridge position). I use them in differend tunings (low D, open G and normal). At the moment I use the Fenders and the Cort for all my gigs and for recordings. I bought the Cort because it has a Strat type of body, which I like, and it has Duncan Hot rails pick ups, which are in my opinion superior to Fender and Gibson Pick ups.
What I realy would like is a guitar that is exactly the same as the Cort G260B, except for the tremelo. I would like to replace the tremelo bridge with an fixed bridge and feed the stings trough the body.

Features : 10
The guitar is brand new, so I'm guessing 2001/2002 and is left handed. It was made in Mexico. It has 22 frets and has a Light swamp ashwood body. It has a volume knob and a tone knob which also acts as a selector between using the pick ups as singles or humbuckers. It also has a 5 way selector switch that acts on both the single or humbucker selection. The pick ups are Duncan Design Hotrails and they sound excellent!

The neck is Hard rock maple, the fretboard rosewood and the body Light swamp ashwood, all of which are of excellent quality. The finish supplied to all three is of a very high quality and makes the guitar look 10 time more expensive than it actually is! The body is similar to a strat, however is looks and feels less bulky and the curves are a bit sharper, but not too much. The bridge is a platiumn coated Wilkinson VS50 II bridge and the tuners, also coated in platiumn are of the self locking variety. I don't know the make, but the quality seems in keeping with the rest of the guitar.

Sound : 10
I mainly play blues, but also play alot of more modern music such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis, Coldplay etc. I'm also in the process of learning Jazz. The guitar seems to be able to fit all the music i'm interested in and provides me with a wealth of possible sounds. The ability to switch from using singles to humbuckers is great and the sound produced through my Peavey Deuce Amp is just as good as a Fender Strat or the like. Basically, the quality of sound that the instrument produces is quite surprising considering it's half the price of a standard American Strat!

I provides Clean & crisp sounds as well as rich & full and should suit most types of music. So far I don't have any dislike about the sound. My old guitar was a Squire Strat which has Seymore Duncan Alanico Pro pick ups in it. The sound was good, but the beef I get from the Cort is far superior.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Like i've said, the quality of the guitar is exceptional. I had a good look at it in the shop and since at home. There are no imperfections as far as I can see. The overall quality of the guitar is excellent and I can't find anything that i'm unhappy about. Sorry I can't be more critical, but it's not possible!

Reliability/Durability : 10
I haven't played live with it yet, but I have no concerns about playing live with it. It's a solid piece of kit and if taken care of, should last a very long time. I'd always take a back-up to a gig, but if the situation arose where I didn't have one, I'd be confident in the performance and reliability of my Cort.

Customer Support : 10
I dealt with a Music shop in Bristol, called Heron Music. I only went to the shop to get some string for my acoustic and electric guitar and seemed to leave the shop with a real yearning for a new guitar. Rarely do you find left handed guitars and even if you were lucky enough to find one, they're normally of poor quality and are bottom of the range. Considering I'd never heard of Cort before entering the shop, they were very helpful! I then did alot of research on the internet and asked the shop a few more questions before visiting the shop again. They included a free set of strings and offered a free set up after a month of use.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing the guitar for about 7 years. I have a old Peavey Deuce 120w amp which kicks serious ass and a Ibanez Tube Screamer and Wah Wah Pedal. Besides my New Cort G260LH, I have a Squier Silver Series Stratocaster with Seymore Duncan Alanico Pro Pick ups and a Yamaha Acoustic Guitar.

The my Cort was stolen, I'd either hunt the bastard down or buy a new one. Either way I'd have another one, no question!

The main two things I love about the guitar is it's quality & finish and the sounds that it produces. Also, the fact that I get these and it's left handed. My favourite feature is the tone control that also acts as a selector between the single or humbucker pick ups. There's nothing that I dislike about the guitar.

I looked around about 5 different guitar shops in Bristol. All had a limited selected of left handed guitars and most had a Yamaha Pacifica as the standard LH guitar. Therefore, the quality of the Cort far surpasses any of the other guitars I looked at. even some of the Fenders.

I was informed by the Music Shop that Cort have been making guitars for over 40 years and make guitars for companies like Ibanez, Washburn and Epiphone to name but a few. These companies just stick their name on the guiatar, inflate the price and sell it on. Do yourself a favour, get pass the major brand names and check out Cort. You'll be pleasantly surprised and you'll have change in you're pocket!!

Features : 9
- new model
- 22 Frets with nice dot-inlays
- solid body
- volume, tone-control
- 3 mini humbuckers (splittable!) - Duncan-designed
- swamp ash body, satin finish maple neck with rosewood fretboard
- transparent orange burst
- strat-style body with a few differences
- Wilkinson tremolo system with roller nut
- sealed machineheads
- medium neck

Sound : 10
I play mainly Rock and Blues (from Clapton to ZZ-Top) and I was very surprised to find a guitar with 3 splittable humbuckers. That means I've got all the Strat-sounds and additionally a few harder ones. The pickups are "mini-humbuckers" which aren't too loud and also stay clearer than the big ones. Even if playing with the singlecoils the guitar keeps very calm - hardly any humming! Very versatile sound, warm but clear. Great sustain! I use play this guitar through a ZOOM GM-200 amp modeler which is connected to my Fender Princeton 112 Reverb.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The pickups and strings were set up perfectly. The pickup switch is sometimes a bit noisy.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Definitely a live axe - not only because of the versatile sound. It is fairly well designed (not a heavy-weight) and seems to be quite stabile. I'd never use a guitar on a gig without a backup - that is clear but it is a guitar you can really rely on.

Customer Support : No Opinion

I've been playing the guitar since 8 years and I also own a Fender Stratocaster Plus which is my gem. The Cort was supposed to be an ersatz for my Fender when playing live - since I don't want to carry my strat around. But I love this guitar so much - now it's my main axe!!! Remember: I paid about 800 DM (--> 400$) !!! That's a third of a US-standard-strat - but it sounds at least as good as a Fender!
