I went into GC and requested to look at Acoustics within the $500-$1,000 range...the most important feature was that it be "Louder" than your usual acoustic. To play in small settings with no amplification is what I specifically looking for. Jeff picked up this guitar and said "Brand new...just came in..try it out!!" Needless to say, I did, and I havent regretted it since! I have been playing steady for 40 years, and know my way around Acoustics. I am the proud owner of other fine guitars, including a Martin HD28 and an Alvarez AJ69S Jumbo. I wanted this guitar specifically for playing in the Bars where beverages might get "Thrown" here and there. That way, the heartache of an accident wouldn't be so painful. Anyway, It is LOUD and the tone from the deep bass to the top end is incredible! This is what sold me on buying this guitar. On a whim, I did buy solid brass tone pins for sustain. They do work and for $10, they are definately worth it!

Might sound odd, but I have had it for 8 months, have played it for at least an hour every day, and have not had to touch it or make any adjustments...period! It is true what they say...the sound quality most definately gets better with age...the more you play it! I use 10's on it, because thats the sound I require/need. It is a beautiful guitar...with very little "Varnish" on it. Just gorgeous!

What can I add other than I have never broken a string. Proper storage in a proper fitting hard case is mandatory. Of course...do not shortcut here. Gig Bags...well you know whats up with them! Personally..I wouldn't own one and have thrown all the free ones I have gotten over the years in the trash!. It is a very well built guitar. Forget about what country it was made in. If it bothers you that much, you can always scratch out "Made in China"! To me, a beautiful, well playing, reliable instrument is what it all about. I am as patriotic as the next American, but I would absolutely have to have my head examined if I didnt buy this guitar. It plays just as clear and frets just as well as my $2,500 Martin! This particular guitar I paid around $550.

If you are seeking a "Loud" acoustic guitar that sounds like a dream, This would be the one for you. I am very happy with this guitar. I predict once the word gets out of this new line of acoustics by PArkwood/Cort, they will give all the leaders a run for their money!
