An excellent high end beginners axe. Great Stratocaster type sound. Mine has the dual single coils nearest to the bridge, exactly parallel to the bridge and not adjacently positioned like on a real Strat. Fire truck red.
Sound

The factory strings were way too light so I strung it with heavier guages. Still tweaking the bridge till I get it right. Stays in tune for the most part even after effecting some really long and soulfull blues bends. It sounded great after hearing the playback on some country blues licks.

Lousy factory setup for action, strings, bridge. Great finish and a light / thin feel.

I've had this guitar for several years and it still looks pretty new as my home gigster.

I've been playing for 30 years and I'm a Stratocaster type of guy. I would not hesitate to grab this axe for a backup Strat.

A nice guitar, Took a lot of tweaking to get the set up just right, I think the quality control needed to be monitored a little closer, but mine could have been made on a friday afternoon. I replaced the bridge pickup with a seymor duncan Hot rails, and now the guitar screams for the classic rock that I play
Sound
:

I play it through a 2-12 crate 60 watt combo and the pair makes a good sound. Warm when I need it, and with the hotrails, very hot when I need it, great to play hendrix, then turn around and play van Halen. a great sounding guitar.

The Factory set up was so bad that the neck had to be removed, nothing was set up at all.

This guitar has withstood very intense live shows, and never let me down, it will last me a long time. The finish wears easy, I have rubbed a good amount off just from my arm rubbing against the body, but this gives it character. The strap buttons were not solid, one time the screw pulled out, sending my guitar to the floor. I ended up having to drill a new hole to screw in the strap button. I have used it without a backup on many occasions, but it doesn't take much effort to throw another guitar in the car.

I have played for over 8 years and gig twice a week, I've owned it for three years now, and overall I am satisfied with it, whammy bar is way too short! Hits the body, The input jack, just a pain.

not sure where it was made
1 volume control, 2 tone
2 single pickups, one humbucker
strat rip-off
non-locking tuners
gig bag, tuner, video, strap, practice amp
good for the price

Sounds pretty good for me. The humbucker is definatley better than the singles, and works well with my Boss DS-1 distortion, and Crybaby Wah. Has a good rock sound.

Action was good, pickups were good as they could be. Only problem is the stupid output-jack-thinger always comes loose and i gotta unscrew it and fix it, which is a pain in the ass, but not too big of a deal.

It hasn't fallen apart on me yet, and I really don't think it will as long as I take care of it. Might not be the best guitar for gigs, and I would definately have a backup.

Ok, ive been playing for like 4 years and never needed another guitar, my amp slaughters all (LINE 6 Spider II 2x12) and i use good ol monster cable... I dont understand the neck complaints i do my metallica hammet solos on this thing just fine and can whip off a little van halen when i want to... This guitar is perfect and these rich fools can spend all their money and can become poor and mess.

Its a standard, regular strat rip off, with the usual plastic tuners and the crappy parts. It did come with some stuff like the tuner that I still use.

About the only way you can play this guitar is with the bridge H. Both single coils really suck, but i do like the Brigde pickup, so much so that i had it in my ibanez RG for awhile.

I had to set up everything on my own, action, intonation, everything. The neck sucks big time.... When I set the action to where I wanted it, any note above the 12th fret didnt play. Its ok for rhythm work but no solos or high notes ever, unless you bought a new neck, which would be worth more then the guitar. Tuners really suck too.

I have to say, I beat the shit outta this guitar and its doing alright. (and no, the neck was messed up when i got it) i replacedthe strap button screws and that seemedto fix that problem. I wouldnt gig without a good backup.

Its alright for a beginner, after all, thats the first guiar i played "stairway" on, but its not worth investing in if oyu have another guitar. You will have to fix it too much and it doesnt sound good enough to be worth the time.

This guitar is a standard Strat rip off. It looks like a strat. It smells like a strat, etc... The neck is a little wider and the head is really soft. For a starter guitar it has all the features one should expect
Sound

This is hard to rate. The pick ups sound great (especially the H) but the rest of the guitar sounds awefull. If you want to play generic, distorted pop punk knock yourself out, but the way the neck is designed it's almost impossible to get a good sound out of chords once the guitar has any ware at all.

Aweful Action. Virtually unfixable, Great pick-up settings.

this guitar lived through Hell and back before I took it apart. I grabed it at a live show when my Strat dies on me. The plastic finish, all be it ugly, is invincible. The strap buttons are good, it's dependable but I wouldn't use it w. out a back up. It's a reasonable back up.

I've been playing for 6 years and own too much equipment to name. Since I bought it, I've used it live twice and dismanteled it for parts. I threw the humbucker in my old strat, perfect. The body would make a nice clock or something I guess. The tuners, shot. I wish I would have asked for $9 change when I bought it...

Im not sure where it was made. It has 1 volume, 2 tone and a pickup selector switch. It has a s/s/h configuration. It looks like a strate. The tuners do not lock but it is always in tune. It came with an amp (which sucked) a gig bag, strap, cables, tuner, strings and a video.

This is where it fails. I like the guitar and will continue to use it. But I had to return one because the electronis failed after a couple hours of play. And the second one had to have some frets repaired before I could play it. The tone knobs are now coming loose. I will have to take it in for repair the third time now in less than a month. The dealer (TMG Music) is real good about it.. But I wish it was a little more solid.

As a beginner this is what I wanted. I realise that I did not pay top dollar, and will have to deal with minor defects.. BUT, I think that there are too many things wrong with it to be considered a professional quality guitar that could be used live. I would go get another guitar before I began to play in a band.
