Action required re-setting to lower strings. Will replace tuners when I get a chance, But not bad for price.

One bad POT, loosens up by it's self. Annoying but not critical.

Play this unit on a crate 15. It's a good unit with sound that suits my needs. I have owned several units, and this is by far the best for the money. I have had it going on two years and all I have had to do is tighten the pot, change strings, keep it clean, and adjust string height. I wish it had block fret markers to give it class, but I guess thats just being picky. I do not make a living with it. If I did, it would be a Gibson Les-Paul Custom.

Black, made in Korea. 2 Humbuckers, 2 tone, 2 volume. Looks just like a black Gibson Les Paul Standard minus the head stock of course. Never heard of Crate (guitar wise) but plugged it in and it sounded great. Don't pay more than $300 for this guitar at anytime. I bought mine brand new from the music store and I saw them elsewhere for $460. Thank goodness for competition! For around $450 you can get an Epiphone "Gibson" Les Paul, and I would suggest you do that if you can.

Only the best will be able to tell this is just a copy guitar. Without looking at the headstock people say "Hey nice Gibson." It's a great starter guitar or a travel guitar. I can fool almost anyone with the sound since it is my conviction that amps really make or break your sound anyway.

The action on this guitar is great, very low with only a trace of a fret buzz on the low E. I have the black one with the white pickguard which I unscrewed as I think the guitar looks a little better without it. The paint and fretboard are fantastic.

Very reliable and durable. Only one minor problem with the pot going out. Probably becase I left it in one position all the time and now wanted to switch back and forth. Was fixed at store for $17 bucks. At 6 months of intense playing, the frets are holding their own and neck is doing great. There is a small crack up on the back of the neck towards the top, but this would be covered under warranty and wouldn't have happened if I would treat the little guy better.

I wish their website: http://www.crateamps.com had the guitar info on there. I couldn't locate it. Guitar did not come with any documentation, which may have been the fault of the dealer.

This was my first solid-body electric and I will continue to have it for years to come. Great low cost "Gibson Les Paul" copy, if not the best out there (except for Epiphone). Use GHS Boomers and a Marshall Amp with an Ibanez TS-9 pedal and you'll get Pearl Jam/Grunge sound, if that is what you are looking for (like me). I guess for $100 more you can get an Epiphone, and I would suggest you do that if you can.
