Mage in Korea. 21 frets (can't play You Shook Me). Crappy wood all over (Plywood?). Pick ups:S/S/S. 24.75" scale. Two tone, one volume. CRAP! It works. I can say, it was my first guitar and suited the place well.

Sound : 2
It's ok. Very whimpy tone. Not thin. Thin can be good. WHIMPY. Pathetic. I can't get one compressed tone out of that guitar. It not warm, it's muffled. Hums when set on a sinlge pickup. Doesn't when set on 2 at a time. I only use the neck pickup because the bridge one is worthless.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
When I got it, action was insane. For the first 3 weeks, I thought I wouldn't be able to play. That changed when I tweaked it though. Now it buzzes all over and the action isn't even that low.

Reliability/Durability : 5
It's reliable. When I got pissed at it I tried to give it a "different" finish (I was going to make it look like a Strat Relic) but it didn't scuff very easily. Although pickups crakle when switched, they seem to be able to torture me extensively through their CRAPPY sounding lives. 5 for fairly durable finish (Note:I'm saying this because I don't care about the guitar.)

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with. Do they exist. Anyway it doesn't matter. If it broke I wouldn't need help in how to throw it away.

Overall Rating : 2
I've been playing for only 1 year. It's Christmas again and can't wait to chuck this thing to someone else who knows nothing about guitars. I go into the store and play guitars. This is the WORST ever.

Just had to stand up for my guitar! Lots of heavy reviews here, but for some reason, mine is great. I have a red copy made about 1995 or so, made in Korea, I'm sure... it has a two-ply ash body (it's true!), a maple neck with an ebony fretboard and jumbo frets, and everything else standard. The pickups I replaced for Lace Transensors (as I do with all my strats), and the whole thing is red, including the back of the neck, which is very slim. Standard style trem, as well. I put new tuners on it, some vintage Schallers, and it stays in tune very well. I'm not fond of the headstock shape.

Sound : 10
It has a fat, puchy, and resonant sound. Many who have seen me live or heard my CD are very surprised at the power and tonefulness of this guitar. I've had some problems keeping the pots and switch from getting noisy, but regular cleaning keeps 'em going fine. It has everything from shimmering clean to very heavily distorted on its pallete, and does them all very well.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
I like a higher action for tone and volume, and it suits my playing style. Having recieved this as a gift six years ago, I have no idea of the factory setup, but with my mods it plays excellenty. It has a very flat fingerboard, and the frets are jumbo and well seated. No flaws so far in all the time I've owned it. The finish is very durable and has held up to some severe abuse (I've never polished or even cleaned it, and it's still just as shiny red as when it was new.)

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is my main sword for battle. It has never let me down after years of sessions, gigs, rehearsals, and general hard-ass playing day in and day out. I do use a backup for the occassional stringbreak, but it sees the majority of use. The bridge, switches, pots, etc., have yet to let me down in six years.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I hadn't realized that there were really that many of them out there, yet alone that the company might be still in business somewhere.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about eight years now, and I have a typical effects setup into a JCM 2000 Marshall combo. If it were stolen or lost, it would be gone, and I guess I'd just go with some other kind of strat. I love it, it sounds like no other strat (in a good way), and it continues to turn heads at gigs and jams, since no one's ever heard of one, but it sounds so good!

First,I have no idea what the other reviewers of this guitar was smokin'...They must have been retarded or something. It's a simple strat copy made for Vega music insterments.Plywood body,3 SC pickups, nato bolt-on neck with rosewood fretboard,21 med-jumbo frets, inclosed tuners and vintage trem with bar(I still have my bar because I'm not a retard LOLAU!)It was well taken care of when I got it.

Sound : 8
Sounds good out of the box. It's on par with all the cheap strats out there. It covers all the classic strat sounds well.Everyting works good on it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The finish is as good as all other cheap guitars. All hardware does what it should.Set-up is great. It excells in playability.

Reliability/Durability : 9
You can play live with this guitar.I doubt if the other reveiwers ever service or take care of they're guitar. It plays well, stays in tune and is very dependable.

Customer Support : 8
Never delt with them and proabaly never will.

Overall Rating : 10
This guitar is great for a beginnar or non pro player and can't be put down. You get alot of guitar for the price. If you get one and take care of it,it will last a long time.

Red, many dents! 20 frets, plywood body-thing weighs about three pounds. Black shit hardware, 1 humbucker-Yes, strat body. pointy ibanez-wanna be headstock, tuners suck balls, volume knob broke, tone knob doesn't work. Year? old. Oh, plywood neck too. Strat bridge without bar. As in, bar is lost.

Sound : 10
Hah! Lucky if it makes a sound. I think it was Jimmy Page who said something like, "make anything loud enough and it'll eventually sound like a Les Paul." Not noisy, Sounds like shit, needs lots of distortion but it's fun.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Action-1/4 inch. Impossible to play unless you like to thrash. Pickup was just there. It was red. It had lots of dents. The neck was misaligned, it was plywood. The bridge was rusty, so were the tuners. They couldn't keep a tune for nothin. The nut was good, the controls were all broke, This thing kicks ass!

Reliability/Durability : 1
Wouldn't take live playing-just buy one for twenty bucks before every gig and smash it for fun!

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
Hey, for a piece of shit @0-dollar guitar, it's not a bad deal. I think it would sound good with a nice pickup. It's just for thrashing!

I love this pile of trash's neck. It is better than a fender. you can get these babies for cheep so another plus.

Reliability/Durability : 5

Red plywood body, One humbucker, One volume knob, POS everything! Trem bridge, lost bar.

Sound : 10
I never bothered plugging this thingy in, but it sounded alright unplugged.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
What? Action was 1/4. Finish-flat red spray paint that my four year old coulda done.

Reliability/Durability : 2
This guitar will NOT take live playing, the hardware is shit, the finish is super thick, so it'll outlive the wood, The strap buttons were lost, and it couldn't possibly be dependable. THEREFORE, I would use it on a gig as a complete joke just because this damn thing is sofa king COOL! It's like, they wanted 75 bucks for it. I offered em 45. I would just slap a decent pickup in it just for kikcs.

Customer Support : 2
Like someone else said-are they still in business? I hope not.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I've played for 7 years, so I know a piece of crap when I see one. But, some POS guitars just have a cool factor, as in, practical joke only. This is one of them. I would mourn my 45 bucks more than losing this guitar. But it's just COOL to boot!

Made in korea. 22 frets. Volume and 1 tone controls. One humbucker, I have no idea what it is. It's made of a VERY cheap wood. Came with a cheap little amp, and a little chihuahua named carlos that had some kind of skin disease and was totally blind.

Sound : 6
I know you think i'm crazy after reading some of these other reviews, but this guitar sounds better than my bullet strat.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
Hah!

Everything falls apart on this thing.

They're hiding from me!

I have been playing for 5 years now and i have yet to play a guitar that sounds this good for under a hundred dollars. As much as i love to bash this guitar, it doesn't sound bad. That dog can bark!

20 jumbo fret wonder.. One of our local pawn shops had 3 Cruise strat copies, brand new with Original docs, plastic on pick guard, packaged cables, and whammy bar ..

Sound : 1
THe sound on these two NEW Cruise strats?? HORRIBLE!.. It would be passable, except the pickup selector HUMMS something terrible if it's not on the middle switch... but even with that... the excessive BUZZING when playing something on the 1st and 2nd frets just ruins everything! and these were BRAND NEW or never used..! Tone control didn't work at all, volume was the only thing that worked ok..

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
No action at all.. strings really high off the fretboard just at bottom.. 14th/15th fret and on.. when playing, Some strings felt REALLY loose, some tight.. Pickups looked chinsy, finish appeared ok.. dare i mention the problems with the pickup selector again??

Reliability/Durability : 1
No idea on durablity, but judging from the cheap electronics, buzzing on fretboard, high action, loose controls, i couldn't imagine this thing lasting more than a few months before something went wrong.. i wouldnt waste my money on it.. not to mention the $75 asking price from the pawn shop!!

Customer Support : 1
Never even heard of the company... no listings at all on the web for support or for sale

Overall Rating : 2
i've been playing for about five years now, everything to Rock, Metal, classic rock, Blues, Classical, a little flamenco. I started out on a Yamaha acoustic Y-350 or something ? a LONG time ago, sold that, then picked up a nice Squier II Strat (modified) shortly after.. (Great guitar btw, not to mention durable..) I wanted to add to the Cruise listings here to try and give some fair warning to the people about the problems of these guitars.. about the only good thing about them is they are *cheap*, and look good, but that's it...... but.... with all the problems inherit in them, not to mention poor construction &, sound, save yourself the trouble and dont bother with this one

This guitar is terrible. It has 21 jumbo frets and 3 single coil pickups that buzz terribly. It has two tone knobs and the 5-way selector switch thingee. The bridge pickup's tone knob doesn't work. Damn them. I think the other guy is right, this guitar is made out of freakin' plywood. It came with these POS non-locking tuners that I think were made out of plastic. I give it a two because it at least has everything that a strat has. It has a tremelo bar, kind of. It's there (actually I had to buy the damn thing separately) but when I got it, some dickhead screwed the bridge screws down too tight and it didn't bend notes at all. Since I didn't know jack about guitars when I got the thing I had to live with it.

Sound : 1
Shit, shitty, and shittier. I play all sorts of stuff: ska, punk, metal, rock, and surf and this thing sounds bad for all of them. Like I said, the pickups buzz terribly (except the middle one, don't know why) This guitar just sounds bad.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
When I got it the action was set really high and when I lowered it I found out why. There is fret buzz on just about every fret and some of the higher frets (I think the 19th or the 18th) are higher than the others. It came with a chip in the side that I had to touch up with nailpolish.

Reliability/Durability : 2
I would definitely not use this guitar at a gig. Period. I'm embarrassed by the damn thing. Except that I don't have another one. I'm waiting for it to fall apart so I'll have an excuse to get another one. The strap buttons were all fucked up when I got it, too. The screw hole was stripped so I had to jam in a piece of wood to fix it. I have to say though, it's never failed on me yet.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with the company (does cruise even exist anymore?)

Overall Rating : 1
I've only been playing guitar for about 6 months and now that I know a little about guitars, this one is shit. If it was stolen from me (oh please god!) I would definitely NOT get another one. Do yourself a favor and don't buy one of these.

This strat copy was made in 1996, somewhere in the Far East. It has all the features of a Fender Stratocaster; 3 single coils, 21 frets, tremelo bar, you know the rest. This is embarassing, but the wood has to be some kind of plywood. I opened it up one day and found nothing but trash inside: crappy wood. Wood makes a world of differnece, as I've found out over the years. I got a free practice amp with it which sounds like crap. All the "hard" ware is cheap.

Sound : 1
When I first bought the guitar, I was just playing Stone Temple Pilots, and yes, I have grown to appreciate music 100x better than alternashit music, so a strat is where most of us looked. I was using it with a cheap 6" speaker amp, but then got a Crate soon after, and that just combines with bad tone. The pickups buzz like hell and you can forget about full tone. It always went out of tune.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
I was so stupid that I didn't know what action and intonation were, so after a while, I figured out that this was the most disgraceful piece of crap I have ever held in my arms. Nothing was set up like a quality guitar should be.

Reliability/Durability : 1
It will fall apart after one year.

Overall Rating : 1
I have definetly grown as a guitar player since I first started on electric guitar. I now have a Paul Reed Smith McCarty and a Marshall Jubillee head, which go together well. Here is my advice to all the people that are thinking about buying their first electric guitar: if you want a Stratocaster, get the real thing. It matters, believe me. If you want to get a crunchy sound, get a guitar with humbuckers, because you don't want to be stuck with these shitty single coils. The strat copy is terrible, and dosen't come close to the real thing, so be smart and ask questions at the store.
