It's maybe 20 years old, and has a glossy baby blue finish (way cool, actually!).

Strat style, with a steel bolt on bridge that you put the strings through the front of (no idea what that's called, but sort of like putting ball-end nylon strings on a classical guitar).

Tuners are it's main weakness - does not stay in tune well.

Bolt on neck, don't know what it's made of, but I like it (maple?).

No accessories included, and I cannot find ANY info on who made it, and when it where it was made - but it's entry level for sure.

22 frets, masonite body, no-name single HB pickup with single tone and single volume ... that's it. No whammy bar, or anything else.

VERY basic guitar ... although bought at a very basic price.

Sound : 6
Well, this is my first electric guitar, so I am hardly qualified to make a lot of comparison to other guitars, BUT ... this does not sound as bad as, well, pretty much everyone but me, says it does.

I play clean stuff, country, classic rock ... whatever. No death stuff, not even near death stuff or even under the weather stuff. Only clean, feel-good stuff.

It has a good punch clean, and despite having only one humbucking pickup and one tone control, it's not that bad. Obviously, the range of sounds available is limited, and I don't bother with effects.

I am currently borrowing a 1960's Gibson ES-175D and I am NOT about to equate the two or anything, but it's a solid 6, especially if you factor in that it has one pickup.

It's not bad - and it's little, and cute, and light ... so my child loves it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action - I like it a lot. The neck is smooth, the frets are smooth at the edges (unlike other entry level guitars that sometimes have what seem like razor blades at the unfinished ends of each fret wire).

Fit is not bad either, and the baby blue finish is cute. There is nor rust. It has a bolt on neck.

The masonite body creates a bit of a problem in that the screw holes get bored out / stripped a little each time you turn a screw (such as I have done when I shielded and grounded the guitar).

But hey, this is not so bad - I've seen a lot worse ...

... I've seen a lot better, but I paid $80 Cdn. for it and I think it was probably worth it.

Reliability/Durability : 5
The neck is not a concern - it seems pretty solid to me.

The hardware ... the tuners are really bad, the bridge is good, the pickup seems okay.

The body is SOLID! Unfortunately, it's solid MASONITE! But it's got a heavy finish over it, and the guitar is light, so I don't see why it won't last for some time to come.

Would I gig it? ... in light of the masonite, I suppose it depends on whether it's raining or not. Kidding.

No, it's good, but not THAT good. A practice guitar only.

Customer Support : 1
I have attempted to find info on this guitar, and despite the fact that it says "Created for VAI" or something on it, I think it was "Created for Michael Knight" (... a man who does not exist, kids) by "Cruise" (... a company that doesn't exist).

I am beginning to think the guitar may actually be a fig-newton of my imagination ...

Hey, why can't I go below a score of 1 here?

Overall Rating : 6
I have resurrected an old hobby after twenty years, and have been playing again for one year, and I mostly play acoustic (primarily finger picking on a steel string, but a little of the same on a classical as well).

I bought this on a whim, after a real guitarist demonstrated it for me. If it were lost or stolen, I would miss the cute little baby blue guitar - more as a loss for my child - but I would not weep, and would simply forget I owned it and go buy a basic Yamaha electric like I should have in the first place.

If you buy this guitar, just realize what it is. A practice guitar for a beginner like me or your young kids. If you want a real guitar that sounds good and that you can show off and gig, don't buy this.

If you do buy this, make sure you buy one that has a cool retro color like the baby blue one ... because that may be the best thing about it.

I got this guitar in 1988 as a christmas gift. My parents let me pick the guitar I wanted. Since I knew nothing, I passed up a nice BC Rich Warlock simply because I did not like the color and I ended up with this instead. <smacks forehead>.

It has 22 frets. Made in Korea. Says "Created for VAI" on the headstock. The action is horrible. As you play, the screws on the bridge loosen from vibration and it goes out of tune . On the high end the strings are like a 1/4" off the fretboard but on the low end the strings touch the frets which causes really bad vibrations.

Sound : 1
I play mostly thrash metal. It was very hard to play any fast music (or anything) on this guitar. The fact that it was all I had for two years and all I knew, I just always thought I sucked. But people said I sounded pretty good on it. After saving up $1500 and getting a Jackson Randy Rhoads made for me, it was amazing to me that I ever was able to play this thing at all.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
This thing seems like it was built in a sweatshop. The action sucks. The controls suck. Nothing fits together right. The tuners are very sloppy and cheap.

Reliability/Durability : 3
I always take care of my things, and this guitar is in the exact condition it was in when I got it. It is not a dependable guitar in my opinion though. As I mentioned, the bridge screws loosen as you play which throws it out of tune very quickly.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 3
I've been playing since the day I got this guitar which was christmas of 1988. Started out with this guitar and a small Dean Markley practice amp. I got a DOD overdrive pedal and discovered distortion about a year later. Around 1990 or 91 I saved up and had a Jackson Randy Rhoads custom made and also picked up a Digitech RP1 effects pedal, a DOD Chorus, Dunlop Crybaby Wah pedal, and DOD Death Metal pedal. Since the RR is a little difficult to sit and play I bought myself a Jackson DR3 which is strat shaped. I love Jackson guitars. They are well made, light, and have great action. I am using a Crate stack with Crate head. I also own an old BC Rich Warlock NJ which sounds pretty good but is heavy as hell. I just picked up a BC Rich Virgo. I'm planning on getting a 7 string soon as well.

Anyway, I mainly keep the cruise around for the sentimental value. I like to pick it up and remember how hard it was to play. I might make my son learn on it. I figure since it is so hard to play on it it might actually force you to work harder and become a better player. Then when you play on a quality instrument like a Jackson or a BC Rich you'll feel really good about yourself.

This guitar was made in Korea. The body is shaped similar to a Strat. It has three single coil pickups, what appears to be a maple neck and fretboard. I don't know what the body is made of, but it wouldn't suprise me if it was particle board. It also has one volume and two tone knobs. it has a tremlo (a cheap fender copy). It also has a five way selector switch.

Sound : 1
I play heavy metal (Metallica, Pantera, and various others). I haven't played it in years, but first I used a Dean Markley amp with a six inch speaker, then a Fender Champion 110. It sounded horrible through both.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
I'd say the action was crappy because it was high, but how can I rate somthing that is your responsibility to get set up. The paint looked fine other then that it was junk. The volume knob fell apart and the pot broke, and I'm pretty sure the selctor switch dosen't work anymore.

Reliability/Durability : 1
It's junk.. I don't play gigs but if I did I would never use it. Even if it was in working order right now I wouldn't touch it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I don't even know what this company is.

Overall Rating : 1
I've been playing for 10 years. In the last few years mostly just messing around. This was my first electric. It was a christmas gift. I guess it did its job to get me started on the electric guitar. Even if was "playable" now I don't think I could even play it. I have a Gibson Gothic Explorer with EMG's and once you play such great quality you can't go back to junk

Well its more of Charvel Jackson style strat from the 80's then a fender strat. It has the Jackson style head.I got it at a pawnshop. I like it.It has 22 frets. One humbucker, which Im gonna replace it with a humbucker from a Charvel Jackson model 5 guitar.

2 knobs, which one is missing, though it still works. Just the plastic part. The neck isnt bad, there isnt hardly any scratches on the guitar.Light.

Sound : 6
The sound has a good dingy dirty rock sound too it. I like van halen/ac dc shit. Along with hendrix, classic rock, country. ive got a les paul for alot of that shit. But its not bad sound

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The action on it isnt bad. Has a very slight bow, but alot of older guitars get that way from leanin on to the wall on the neck.Im going to mess with the truss bar on it.
It has buttery action though.Very smooth.

Reliability/Durability : 6
I wouldnt trust it at a gig. This is something I would use to record music with. I would have to do some electronic work on it to use it at a gig. I would carry along with me though. I would bring at least 3 guitars to a gig.Acoustic and 2 electrics.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Wouldnt know

Overall Rating : 7
I like it. Ive been playin for about 8 years, and this guitar isnt that bad.Ive got an Aims Les Paul custom, it plays damn good, but I wouldnt say this one plays better. Ive got a model 5 charvel jackson but its on the fritz right now. Ive also got a Epiphone Hummingbird, which isnt bad. I like my Epiphone AJ 12 better.

It this guitar is atleast 15 years old.
made in korea 22 frets It is a really small guiter.
one volume and one tone
One Humbucker at the bridge
strat body style.

Sound : 7
I play alternative rock, and this guiter sounds good with it, but thats about all it sounds good with. the sound is too muddy to play clean stuff.
Its got a full sound with alot of distortion.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The finish is holdiong up well, for being throught alot of abuse. I got it used when i was about 8 and it got beat off stuff alot.
the action is really low for a cheap guiter.

Reliability/Durability : 7
I wouldn\ be kinda scared to play this guiter live. It is just too beat up, ya never know when it'll give out.
It is good for just playing around though.
It would be my backup at my gig. I would never use it as my main guiter. it isn't that good
I had to saughter one of the wires to the output jack but now it is fine

Customer Support : No Opinion
i dont even know who they are.
I've never heard of them except this guitar

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing for 2 years and this was my first guitar. It is a perfect guitar for a beginner. If it were stolen i'd like to have a brand new oneif ui could find it. it is an easy guitar to learn on because it is so small and easy to play.

Bought this POS in 1995 to replace my 1st guitar, which was a Sears guitar. I was only 15 so hell if I knew this guitar sucked; it was a dream compared to my Sears guitar, I can say that much...

Guitar is made out of particle board (I will elaborate on how I found this out later), has strat-style hardware but NOWHERE NEAR as good as even a bottom line strat. I bought this from a mom and pop music store in a white ghetto town and thought it was gold but damn was I wrong as time progressed. It wasn't long before I bought a real strat.

Sound : 2
Sounded like poop, if poop even sounds like anything. At the time the guitar/amp combination sucked anyway so I can't really compare its sound to what it might have sounded like through a halfway decent amp, but I was plugged into a small Peavy Rage with no reverb and the tone shaping was complete junk. I used this guitar with DOD and some BOSS pedals and it wasn't terrible for the kind of music I was playing at the time, but when my style changed, the guitar had to as well.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
Action was ok at first, took about 2 months before the neck was bowed. Pickups were factory adjusted, I never did any adjustments on this guitar. Flaws? Hmmm...couldn't keep it in tune- the trem bar more than mocked that, choppy frets, bad tuners.

Reliability/Durability : 2
This guitar is reliable, it's not like it's going to snap apart in your hands, but the strap buttons do tend to strip out (hey, it is particleboard). If it were my only guitar at the time and I had a gig, you think I would cancel because my guitar wasn't top notch??

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never would have been worth it to even check...

Overall Rating : 2
I finally got sick of this pos and bought a real strat. I should also mention that I'm left handed and so the Cruise was the only left handed guitar I could find. I'm not sure if they were all lefty models because no one ever specifies that in their reviews. Either way, I bouht my new strat, it was solid and beautiful, and so we all went out back and smashed the guitar. That's how I found out it was sawdust on the inside. We set it on fire but it didn't burn. Oh well, we tried. I guess the thing is fire retardant, so that's a plus if you were ever to be playing in a bonfire... for that I give this category a 2.

Not sure what year it was made. Made in Korea. It has 22 frets. Has 1 vol. and 1 tone nob. It has 1 bridge humbucker and thats it. Neck is ok, not much fret buzzing but the finish on the neck is wearing a bit. It has a nice creamy pearl/white finish on it with black neck. Strat style body. Tuners are crap, they give very easily.

Sound : 7
Sounds great. I only have a small 30 watt amp but it sounds great on it. I plug it into my metal distortion pedal and it sounds great still, good for heavy stuff.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Humbucker is good, could use another or some singles, tuners are junk which could be replaced.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I would use this guitar if I had no other choice. I think it could withstand live playing because it is very durable and has taking a great beating over the years and still sounds great. Strap buttons are just fine. It is very dependable but if you have they money get somehting better. It would be smart to have a back up with this at a gig.

Customer Support : 5
Took it to a guitar shop and they guy put in another spring in the inside of the guitar becasue the strings would bust if tuned too high. "It needs new tuners too, and that will run you about 35 bucks, not sure if this guitar is worth that much though." Skipped getting the tuners and it sounds great now, now acts as my backup.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 2 years, and played on this for bout 1 and 1/2 years then I bought a new Johnson 3 single coil. The johnson is more reliable but I still like the Cruise grungy sound. If it were stolen I would get a better more reliable backup guitar.

I Have absolutely no idea when it 'twas made. it has 22 frets, 1 vol, 2 tone. it has 3 single coils like most strats. Its a very good copy of a strat most people think it is a fender when they see it.i think the bidy is ash with a maple fret board. The finish is blackish blue with tiny blue-green lightning bolts (kinda gives it an ac/dc feel). It has a Whammy . The tuners dont lock but they feel like it though:)
It cames with 2 cables and a hardshell case.

Sound : 10
It suits my music style, my style is classic rock like ac/dc. It has great sound. every amp ive plugged it into sounds great with it (so far) I like that the tone knobs are very affective. The frets never buzz.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
It's put together very well. Nothing has ever been damaged or broken (off)

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
It is very Reliable, like if u were to bang it on somthing it wouldn't scratch that easily. I use it as my main on a gig. the strap buttons are very nice. I can always depend on it no matter what.

Customer Support : No Opinion
NONE what so ever..........jerks.

Overall Rating : 10
I also own an Epiphone eb-0 bass, a crappy Hagstrom II bass(doesn't work), a Peavy Rage amp, A big marshall Speaker, a trainer bass amp(for the marshall),a Heath Kit Amp, 2 pioneer speakers, 2 soundsourse speakers, a Standell guitar amp, couple of mixers, a little harmony acoustic, couple of empty guitar cases, 2 stage works mics, and tons of guitar picks.I also have a Groove Percussion Drumset.lol.
If My guitar was stolen i would put up a police search (or a temper tamtram). I Did compare it to a 1966 fender strat, the fender was thicker and it had better tuners(not saying mine are bad).

This is a Cruise "created for VMI" strat copy, Made In Korea (as it seys on the back of the head stock) it's a 22 fret maple neck (yep real maple) and it has a MDF body, which sounds nice and that is quiet surprising.
The original hardware in this guitar was "BAD", really very bad. Very cheap tuners and very crappy electronics. Pick ups were not that bad, but sounded thin and had no edge whatsoever.

Sound : 8
The sound was not bad, but not good either. Keeping the guitar in tune was a disater. I decided to get new tuners (Gotoh) because this guitar played really good because of the maple arm. I also swapped the electronics with those of a MIM Fender Stratocaster, which made a huge differerance. Now I got a rich full Fender strat like sound. Unfortunately I couldn't get the Fender five way switch in so I'm still stuck with the original switch. (but some routing will take care of that in the future) The trem is a nasty piece of work, I hope to replace this with a MIM Fender piece soon (when I can find one 2nd hand)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I got this guitar from a 2nd hand used equipment store. It was the cheapest guitar they had, it had two strings on it and the tailpiece looked as if it made a nosedive and nerver recovered. I checked if it worked and it did, so I took it with me.
Since the guitar looked decent and not worn I got to work with my toolbox and reanimated the guitar. To my surprise it sounded neat and useable. But when I changed the Electronics, pups and tuners the thing got so much better. I recently shimmed the neck (using a 0.60 Dunlop pick) and it plays very nice now. It sounds like a Fender and looks like crap, but I like it. But the tailpiece will have to go!

Reliability/Durability : 6
I used it as a back up for a gig and it performed well, bettter then my Jazzmaster did that night! As long as I don't have the tail piece/trem replaced I won't use it live. It serves it purpose as a study guitar (for both playing and repairs)

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't honestly know if these are still made. I hope not...

Overall Rating : 7
I heve been playing for 12 years now and I got this guitar as stated by a previous reviever as a project and to learn some instrument repair skills. The fact that it became a nice playing guitar is a big plus. If it were stolen, I would try to get another project, perhaps a better quality starting point. The Maple neck on the guitar is it biggest plus and the fact that it is easy to work on.
I'm sure when I have the trem replaced by a better working item I can hold this guitar against most Fender strats (MIM and Highway series) without a problem and still at a fraction of their cost!
The only sad thing is the ugly headstock....

yeah i bought this thing from my friend back in high school for 12 dollars becasue nobody would give him anything for a trade in. it came with a shorted-out patch cable and a stolen fender gig bag. cruise guitars are made in indonesia or korea or whatever other indigent country can pay kids 13 cents an hour to make 'em. so the thing is, they vary GREATLY in quality. mine is pretty decent. as far as fake strats go, the body is surprisingly smooth and comfortable (none of those sharp edges digging into your ribcage). the pickups are crap, i'll give it that, but mine's pretty solid otherwise. when i got it, it had a ton of buzzing frets but i recklessly hammered them out.

Sound : 6
well i suck at guitar so this guitar easily takes the blame. im into a lot of great music but i play mostly punk and hardcore stuff so who cares. i'd smash the frigger onstage if i could afford a new one. it was wired really poorly when i got it, did some tinkering and it sounds pretty good now. its got something against crate amps though, it sounds really pretty on a marshall or a line 6 or even a peavey but it will hum like a friggin beehive if you plug it into a crate. havent figured out why and i have tried four or five similar amps.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
everything about cruise guitars is wrong from the get-go. so if you buy one, dont whine about it. i've warned you so now you have no excuse. a cruise is a great guitar for anyone who wants to learn about how guitars look on the inside and how to fix common problems. i would compare it to one of those chloroformed frogs in science class. just about everything wrong with a cheap guitar is wrong with it when you buy it, but can be fixed to the point that it will play like a decent guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 7
i've played it live a few times, i would reccomend this guitar for punk rock and tell you to wear a cup if youre playing anything where you're supposed to be cool. its sturdy, nothing on it has broken (save that horrible cracked neck which was hardly the guitar's fault. some idiot dropped it) i would not characterize this guitar as "dependable" in that it is only as dependable as you make it, and i cant speak for people's guitar fixing skills. as far as body goes, its a friggin brick house. its taken a lot of abuse and it'll take a lot more. i would suggest to watch out for those korean plywood models though.

Customer Support : No Opinion
well i cant really say, because i bought it used and even if i could track down the manufacturer, i cant afford international phone calls.

Overall Rating : 10
i have been playing for five years now, and this guitar has served me well. the cruise is a great fixer-upper and i love it. its amazingly comfortable and tough as nails. im gonna put some decent fender pickups in it. this guitar has amazed me as being incredibly reliable and simultaneously crappy enough that i dont feel burdened with the responsibility of caring for it. bands have sometimes offered to let me borrow nicer guitars at shows but i stand by my cruise. i give it a ten - "fantastic value" because for 12 bucks this guitar is just that.

Yep and indo knock off for a strat... it's got better features for a garden ornament than an actual musical instument. Well my guitar features several VANS stickers as well as DC and Billabong and a price tag which i stuck onto the neck. The cruise logo has been scratched off and it now has a "Titot's guitar" label applied onto it using a label maker. It features a scratchplate plastered in shiny, reflective stickers of fish and anything that shines. I've carved cartoons onto the body and stuff like that.... Oh that brings me onto the actual features.. 3 absolutely shite pickups, a halfway decent neck and a bridge that breaks your strings every two weeks. Kool first guitar nevertheless.

Hehehe.... Anyone that owns this guitar should know that this guitar has got the best sound better than any PRS, or EMG equipped axe. Decent for playing absolutely nothing... well pop punk if anything... or if u can get anything audible from the fuzz and distortion and feedback.

Action was horrible, 2nd, 8th, and 15th frets buzz, I even raised the bridge, then dropped it. The fretboard looked like the woodgrain was wallpaper.

Reliability/Durability : 6
As much as i hate the guitar, it has withstood all the punishment I have dished out to it. I am saving up for an Ibanez AF75 hollow body so this guitar will just sit around looking good I guess. I would never take this guitar to play a gig. NO WAY

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to use customer support, the guitar's not worth it

Overall Rating : 1
I've been playing for a lil over a year and this is a good learner guitar cuz it's so junky. If this was stolen, I would not miss it one bit. What i do like about it is that it looks like a strat, thats about it. I wanna get a real strat soon, Les Paul, Marshall stack, and some other goodies.

Every teen guitarist has to have one. That crappy first guitar that enevitibly gets covered in stickers and just sits in the corner and looks "cool".

Some kid's girl left this over at his house about a year ago and he needed lunch money so I picked it up for the price of $9.00. This thing sounds like ass next to anything else I own but it is nice to play with in your chair watching tv. It doesnt feel all that bad.

Sound : 2
Ohh man, dont plug this in

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Looks nice. Shiny blue.

Reliability/Durability : 5
Feels heavy enough to be solid. Havent looked at the electronics yet

ehh, for nine bucks it's not a bad guitar at all. The neck has to be worth at least that much.

I have no idea what year it is...I bought it used about 7-8 years ago, I dont remember. It has 1 humbucker pickup, 1 vol. knob, and 1 tone knob. The neck is bolted on to the body. Im not sure of the material of the neck, but the body is particle-board. It has a strat-style bridge with a whammy-bar. It came with a semi-hard leather, shaped case.

Sound : 3
Considering what i paid for it, it doesnt sound all that bad. I think it will sound better with a better amp though. The amp I got with it is REAL cheap. I think the frets might be spaced incorrectly. When I tune it using the 5th fret method, and then play a power chord or something, it just doesnt sound right.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
The finish is actually pretty good. It is glossy black, and very durable.

Reliability/Durability : 3
The partilce-board body is cheap. The strap button can be pulled out of the body (the screw it stipped). The tone knob is loose. At one point I even had to take the back off of the guitar and re-solder one of the wires. Other that that, I havent had and structural problems or anything. Hell...it has lasted me several years, but I dont paly anywhere but in my basement.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them

Overall Rating : 3
I've had the guitar for 7-8 yrs, but I only started practicing daily about a month ago. Well, a month of daily use is all it took for me to realize that this guitar was a P.O.S. If it were stolen or lost i would go buy a decent guitar. But considering that I paid so little for it, it was a good "springboard" guitar, that was just cool to have around and got me interested in playing. One thing i might try with it, is try refinishing it myself, just for fun, then maybe hang it on my wall when I get a real guitar.

I Don't know what year it is but it was made in Korea
It has 22 fret, a 5 Way selector switch , Volume Tone & Fender EQ Tone switch (added by me). It has two active Seymour duncan pickups and a Seymour duncan Duckbucker at the bridge (Also added by me).
The neck is maple with a rose wood covering and I'm not sure what the Body is, I think it might be ash. the body has been re-sprayed from Black to a metallic Purple. The body is in the Strat style. The brige was originally a fender style Whamy Bar but is modified to a fixed bridge (so I could fit in all the active electronics)

As you can tell it has almost no original parts( but There you go)

Sound : 7
I think it suits my style well as it has a very good blues sound (Sort of a Stevie Ray Vaughn richness) But if you crank it up it is capable of some extreme sounds.
I use it throught a LANEY Stack with a BOSS EQ ,Chorus and a DOD Pre Amp.
On a clean tone, using the first two pickups it has a very rich blues sound where as you can also crank up the distortion and use the bridge pickup for a Heavy Rock Sound with lots of balls

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
Originaly it came with 12 gauge strings and played like a cardboard box but after much tweeking it plays brilliantly. I never saw the original pick ups as it was second hand and came with standard Fender Pickups Which where OK but a bit flat and boring.
The only flaw in the guitar was the wiring as it had alot of earth loops in it.

Reliability/Durability : 7
This guitar has served its purpose on many occasions and plays better than any Fender at a quarter of the price. With all of the work I've done on it I'm sure it will last me a life time.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing for five years and have had this guitar for two and a half years I also own a strat a Godin A6 and A westfield Five string bass and I use a LANEY (Don't know anything else about it as all the numbers have been worn off) And a Park Practice Amp.
If this guitar was stolen I would be gutted and brobably become a buddist Monk. I just Love this guitar FULL STOP!

This guitar is pretty good looking. I like the shape of it a lot. It has rosewood neck and it's red. Looks exactly like the real strat.

Sound : 6
It sounds good when it's not pluged in or if it's pluged in to an amp with a lot of gain. I borrowed my dad's amp and it sounded horrilbe. But now I have a marshell amp which works very well with it. Plus, my dad's amp was a very old one. My guitar doesn't have the best sound, but it's good enough for me.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
The pickups were ajusted very well, but after awhile the fisrt pickup didn't work. And the top of the pickup broke off.The tuners are a little loose but, I had this thing for four years now. But mostly, it's pretty well ajusted.

Reliability/Durability : 3
This guitar will defintly stand live playing. It doesn't matter about the guitar for live playing. It matters about the person. The strap keeps on breaking off the buttons.

Customer Support : 2
I had to bring this thing to guitar shops and have them fix this thing a lot of times. I don't even think there was a warranty on this thing.

Overall Rating : 7
I've been playing for four and a half years. I wish i've would of boughten a better guitar. But overall, I like this guitar.

Mage in Korea. 21 frets (can't play You Shook Me). Crappy wood all over (Plywood?). Pick ups:S/S/S. 24.75" scale. Two tone, one volume. CRAP! It works. I can say, it was my first guitar and suited the place well.

Sound : 2
It's ok. Very whimpy tone. Not thin. Thin can be good. WHIMPY. Pathetic. I can't get one compressed tone out of that guitar. It not warm, it's muffled. Hums when set on a sinlge pickup. Doesn't when set on 2 at a time. I only use the neck pickup because the bridge one is worthless.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
When I got it, action was insane. For the first 3 weeks, I thought I wouldn't be able to play. That changed when I tweaked it though. Now it buzzes all over and the action isn't even that low.

Reliability/Durability : 5
It's reliable. When I got pissed at it I tried to give it a "different" finish (I was going to make it look like a Strat Relic) but it didn't scuff very easily. Although pickups crakle when switched, they seem to be able to torture me extensively through their CRAPPY sounding lives. 5 for fairly durable finish (Note:I'm saying this because I don't care about the guitar.)

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with. Do they exist. Anyway it doesn't matter. If it broke I wouldn't need help in how to throw it away.

Overall Rating : 2
I've been playing for only 1 year. It's Christmas again and can't wait to chuck this thing to someone else who knows nothing about guitars. I go into the store and play guitars. This is the WORST ever.

Just had to stand up for my guitar! Lots of heavy reviews here, but for some reason, mine is great. I have a red copy made about 1995 or so, made in Korea, I'm sure... it has a two-ply ash body (it's true!), a maple neck with an ebony fretboard and jumbo frets, and everything else standard. The pickups I replaced for Lace Transensors (as I do with all my strats), and the whole thing is red, including the back of the neck, which is very slim. Standard style trem, as well. I put new tuners on it, some vintage Schallers, and it stays in tune very well. I'm not fond of the headstock shape.

Sound : 10
It has a fat, puchy, and resonant sound. Many who have seen me live or heard my CD are very surprised at the power and tonefulness of this guitar. I've had some problems keeping the pots and switch from getting noisy, but regular cleaning keeps 'em going fine. It has everything from shimmering clean to very heavily distorted on its pallete, and does them all very well.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
I like a higher action for tone and volume, and it suits my playing style. Having recieved this as a gift six years ago, I have no idea of the factory setup, but with my mods it plays excellenty. It has a very flat fingerboard, and the frets are jumbo and well seated. No flaws so far in all the time I've owned it. The finish is very durable and has held up to some severe abuse (I've never polished or even cleaned it, and it's still just as shiny red as when it was new.)

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is my main sword for battle. It has never let me down after years of sessions, gigs, rehearsals, and general hard-ass playing day in and day out. I do use a backup for the occassional stringbreak, but it sees the majority of use. The bridge, switches, pots, etc., have yet to let me down in six years.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I hadn't realized that there were really that many of them out there, yet alone that the company might be still in business somewhere.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about eight years now, and I have a typical effects setup into a JCM 2000 Marshall combo. If it were stolen or lost, it would be gone, and I guess I'd just go with some other kind of strat. I love it, it sounds like no other strat (in a good way), and it continues to turn heads at gigs and jams, since no one's ever heard of one, but it sounds so good!

First,I have no idea what the other reviewers of this guitar was smokin'...They must have been retarded or something. It's a simple strat copy made for Vega music insterments.Plywood body,3 SC pickups, nato bolt-on neck with rosewood fretboard,21 med-jumbo frets, inclosed tuners and vintage trem with bar(I still have my bar because I'm not a retard LOLAU!)It was well taken care of when I got it.

Sound : 8
Sounds good out of the box. It's on par with all the cheap strats out there. It covers all the classic strat sounds well.Everyting works good on it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The finish is as good as all other cheap guitars. All hardware does what it should.Set-up is great. It excells in playability.

Reliability/Durability : 9
You can play live with this guitar.I doubt if the other reveiwers ever service or take care of they're guitar. It plays well, stays in tune and is very dependable.

Never delt with them and proabaly never will.

Overall Rating : 10
This guitar is great for a beginnar or non pro player and can't be put down. You get alot of guitar for the price. If you get one and take care of it,it will last a long time.

Red, many dents! 20 frets, plywood body-thing weighs about three pounds. Black shit hardware, 1 humbucker-Yes, strat body. pointy ibanez-wanna be headstock, tuners suck balls, volume knob broke, tone knob doesn't work. Year? old. Oh, plywood neck too. Strat bridge without bar. As in, bar is lost.

Sound : 10
Hah! Lucky if it makes a sound. I think it was Jimmy Page who said something like, "make anything loud enough and it'll eventually sound like a Les Paul." Not noisy, Sounds like shit, needs lots of distortion but it's fun.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Action-1/4 inch. Impossible to play unless you like to thrash. Pickup was just there. It was red. It had lots of dents. The neck was misaligned, it was plywood. The bridge was rusty, so were the tuners. They couldn't keep a tune for nothin. The nut was good, the controls were all broke, This thing kicks ass!

Reliability/Durability : 1
Wouldn't take live playing-just buy one for twenty bucks before every gig and smash it for fun!

Hey, for a piece of shit @0-dollar guitar, it's not a bad deal. I think it would sound good with a nice pickup. It's just for thrashing!
