This is a 6 string acoustic parlor guitar with a very wide lower bout. I believe it has a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Enclosed tuners. The finish is a bit heavy in a couple of spots, but otherwise very nice. This is a very nice guitar out of Japan for a quite reasonable price. I've had it for around 20 years and I can't remember what I paid or traded for it anymore.
Sound

The sound is rather light as would be expected from a small bodied parlor guitar. It has a nice snap when played fingerstyle and is even toned when strummed. Nowhere near as even as a Taylor, but this is not really the same class of manufacture.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The finish is somewhat uneven and shows some running in a couple of spots around the neck joint. In general it looks very nice and the wood is beautiful.

I don't play out with this guitar, but have taken it to jams. Mostly it is used around the house and fills that position well.

Never dealt with them and I believe they are out of business now.

I have played about 35 years and have owned various Gibson f hole guitars (ES-124, ES-175, Howard Roberts Fusion), Guild acoustics (matching maple jumbo 6 and 12 strings, a sitar, and a few old Harmony electric Stratotones. The Daion fits in the middle of this list as a moderately priced, but quality instrument.
