Solid Cedar top. Dark stained mahogany back and sides. Mahogany neck. Roswood fret board and bridge. Rosewood pickguard under finish of top. Basic dreadnought with plastic binding. Bone nut and saddle

Sound : 10
Sound is fantastic. I'm not normally a fan of cedar top guitars. [too dark] This has a warmth and clarity I had not expected. Very resonant with good projection

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
I bought this guitar from "Goodwill" for $5.00. It had been in a fire. The bridge had been popped off and a poor attempt to reglue had failed causing some top damage. Also had a bad smell of smoke with some finish discoloration.
Needless to say I do some luthier repair so I put "Humpty Dumpty" back together again. Am I glad I did this is one sweet guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It survived a fire. Actually it is a well made acoustic guitar and will stand up to any treatment it is supposed to.

Company long dead

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing over 35 years and own a dozen guitars acoustic and electric mostly high end instruments made in North America. Bought this because I didn't have a "cedar top" acoustic and could fix it cheap. Was originaly planning on giving it to a deserving student. I've learned to like it too much so I think it will stay in my stable for when I'm in the mood for a "Cedar sound"

Early 80's model, I bought it new around 82-83. Solid top cedar, rosewood fret board w/ 20 frets. Believe the back and sides are also rosewood. So is the pick guard. The Daion logo is nicely engraved on the head stock. Beautiful guitar especially for the price back then of $199.

Sound : 10
This guitar rings loud, full and rich. I just bought a new Professional Series Alvarez and it matches it note and tone. I've played with a lot of people that always wanted to know what the heck it is and where they could get one.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action has always been a littel high, but something that I'm totally used to and I believe made me a better player. Never an issue in the 20+ years with finish or fit. It's a well built guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It have dragged this guitar all over the country. If we drove to a weekend getaway, a vacation or just a picnic it has gone with me. There is a slight crack at on the top around the sound hole and a few dings. All the result of hard playing and partying. The instrument itself couldn't be more tough. The finish has help up completely. As I restrung it yesterday, I had a couple of catches in the D tuner, kind of like a zipper getting stuck. It turned on past the catch but kind of concerned me and the shape of the tuners. That's the only time that ever happened.

Never needed them, but really hate their gone. Would buy from them over and over.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing at it for nearly 40 years. Started when I was eight.
I really love this guitar and would be heartbroken if something happened to it. I'd probably never be able to replace it. The sound is just incredible, it is really well made and the solid cedar is beautiful.
My other main pride and joy is a '74 Fender Telecaster, that I bought in '78. The original owner added a 9 volt preamp and Humbuckers at the bridge. Fender Blues Jr and a Marshall stack.
