well i recentlty picked up a daion performer at a pornbroker for $325 australian and it was a sweet buy
it has 22frets it was made in japan
solid bodied white paint black scratch plate
3 way selector on two humbucking seymour duncan pickups
the body style is a flying vee like a jackson vee
bridge is a japanese bridge made by gotoh
the tuners are also gotoh tuners made in japan
the necks scale is thin id say about 19mm on first fret to about 22mm on the 12th fret rose wood fret board
well i got a flying vee case and lockable strap thrown in with the deal
this guitar really shreds a tune
i guess its my own opinion but this is a better value guitar than a fender tele or jackson v or even a gibson v
id have the daion over the american brand name guitars
daion defenitly deserves to be given a shot
if u arnt happy with your daion guitar email me on kohuna@dove.net.au
because im defenitly interested in having a look
well i better leave u alone and if u wanna contact me my icq is 42358492
Sound
:
10
well my style is neo-classical / metal / whatever sounds sweet on the mainstream
i usually play the daion thru the DOD grunge fx 69 or zoom 707 multieffect unit
its a rich pure sound of a quality guitar
the guitar can make all the sounds your imagination is the limit
i have no dislikes about this guitar
Action, Fit, & Finish
:
10
well the action is changeable with an alans key and a phillips head screw driver
the pickups adjust with a small phillips head screw driver
the fret wire is placed perfectly and deeply inset glased with two pack polyester resin
im sayin theres no flaws this guitar is better manufactured then a fender
Reliability/Durability
:
10
this guitar is perfect for people who are touring worldwide this is guitar is extremly reliable
this guitar is the sort u pass on for genarations
the finish is a very thick acryllic laquer and it should last for a very long time aslong as you dont hit it hard as the paint can chip
but wear of the paint is impossible from playing
as the laquers structure is beading so it polishes off but doesnt wear
it would scratch if u got something very sharp to hurt it with but man what sort of animal would hurt a daion guitar the mongrels!!
the strap buttons are nice and firm they are held on with an expansion plate
i can defently depend on it
i wouldnt ever do a gig with one guitar
unless you have fresh strings on it
cause strings naturally break
but with fresh strings i would happilly do a gig with no back up
Customer Support
:
No Opinion
well daion guitars are very rare and i dont know about customer support on old guitars
no but fixing a guitar in no problem a tool kit for fixing guitars should have a 10mm bench chisel and a 30mm bench chisel
and a set of alans keys
a spray gun and air compressor
and lots of sand paper
i kno of no warranty because they dont make them no more
thats why they are worth so much
these guitars are very easy to fix if you are a handy person
but i doubt very much that this guitar will fail anyone unless they treat it very baddly
Overall Rating
:
10
ive been playing for 12 years
i own too much stuff to mention
ampeg amps,savage amps,peavy amps,jade amps,gorrilla amps
ibanez rg540 and rx models
and fender stratocaster late70s model
and alot of asian guitars
if this guitar got stolen or lost id cry
but after the morning process i would go out and buy another daion
i love everything about it
well it can compare to a jackson guitar and esp guitar for its flyability
this guitar is defenitly worth considering to buy if u are a serios guitarist and fantastic value isnt what im rateing this im rateing this guitar ultamate value
you will be sorry if you dont take the time to play one
