a little history on the Daion....they were first made in the mid 70s in Garland Texas...the designer and owner was a Medical Doctor from Waco....in 1980 the manufacturing was done by a contractor in Japan who in 81 bought the company....they are very HIGH end instruments..but because of the price and the Japan connection they never caught on and went out of buisness in late 82....
I have the ONLY Daion Fretless bass made...and it was a one off built in 77 and was given to me as a comp. since I was at the time on the Grand Ole Opery staff....
its a unique bass with a 9 piece neck thru construction with swampash over Walnut wings...passive electronics with a PJ set up...very narrow thick neck....finish is satin blonde...
Kewl bass...scores high in the studio....sounds like a trombone on steroids

I use it mostly thru a chorus the straight to the board for recording...for live gigs I use a Fender 400 head and Carvin speakers...good sound range for what I want

I know nothing about this guitar.... I would like to learn a Whole lot more about My matching Daion Bass and 6 string electric. I do however know that they were made in Japan... That's all. If you could please Email me back with any, if all, Information. I will try in my best words to describe the guitar.
The body is a glossy red with an overly large metallic pick guard. There are two volume and tone knobs. The neck is a dark wood with metallic inlays on the back of the guitar head there are little Daion logos on the tuning knobs. At the top of the body there are almost two horns and two lobes at the bottom that creates a very interesting look. The Bass and the guitar are perfect mates, and they passed throught the same guitar shop in my little... It was ment to be
