I've wanted an electric 12 string guitar for a long time! Let's face it--It goes without saying what MOST of us think where THIS is concerned. What else? RICKENBACKER. OF COURSE! I was NO EXCEPTION! I saw the DANELECTRO DC-12 on their website. They even provided a sound sample! All other manufacturers--HINT! HINT! After that, I went & played one. Bought it ON THE SPOT! The tone, playability, price? CUSTOM MADE FOR ME! I'm a BIG fella' with BIG HANDS & FINGERS! It's PERFECT for me! I've not found a RICK that can touch it! No--Not much to look at, but I PLAY it. Not look at it! My only complaint is that it's a little heavy in the neck & headstock. I STILL GIVE IT A 10!!!!!!!!!!!!

The tone? I just can't say enough for it! Bear in mind--I'm not saying that it's perfect! Show me a product with all +'s & no -'s--I'll show you a PERFECT PRODUCT! {A.K.A. Something that DOESN'T EXIST!} It has the sound that meets ALL my demands! I love the lipstick pickups! For single coil--They're very quiet! I'm gonna give it another 10!

I didn't get it directly from the factory. I'm VERY WARY OF DOING THAT!!!!!!! I bought it from Atlanta Discount Music in Chamblee, Ga. They set it all up. These folks are GREAT! I've bought 3 guitars from them THIS YEAR! I have NO complaints in THIS area! It may sound as though I'm not being very objective--maybe not. However, I AM being truthful!!!!!!! I SAY WHAT I FEEL & FEEL WHAT I SAY! I simply couldn't be more satisfied!

As I stated earlier, the main place I play it is at church. My days of "the traveling band" are pretty much HISTORY! I've been an over the road trucker. SERVED MY TIME IN THAT!!!!!!! So far, it appears to hold up quite well! I'm 52 yrs. old. Too old to be "rough housing" my equipment! If you take care of it--Face it! It will last! I'm rather particular about my equipment! ASK ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME!!!!!!! I work hard for my money! Henceforth, I take care of it!

I've been playing since March of 1966. Have had a number of guitars over the years! I also own a HAMMOND B3 organ with 2 LESLIE 145's. My HAMMOND is the prettiest in the Atlanta, Ga. area. Just ask Richard Goodsell {maker of GOODSELL amps}. I'll have to give my DANELECTRO DC-12 a 10! For me--it's the PERFECT 12 string! For the price, quality, playability, & tone--I've not found anything better!
