Not sure of year of make; made in China. 21 frets. Laminated top. Reminds me of a Strat - 5 posn switch but only one passive tone control. Extra tone control is for onboard distortion. All single coil passive pickups. Onboard distortion useful for some songs but prefer to use outboard effects. Burgundy burst with big sparkles on the Mosrite-style body. Bridge reminds me of a Strat bridge. Tuners are the weakest point on the whole instrument. Gig bag was included.

Sound : 10
I play classic rock and blues in my current band. Play it through a 1965 Fender Deluxe Amp (not a reissue) and a hotrodded Champ through a Korg G3 processor. Pickups are quiet but the whole body is microphonic when the distortion is turned on. Sounds bright like a cross between a Strat and a Rickenbacker. Very versatile - no complaints about the sound, it always cuts through the onstage mix like a Telecaster.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Action is fine. No huge flaws but I got it used and no idea what the previous owner may have done. No evidence of repair work. The parts are cheaply made.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Used it playing out two times since I bought it a week and a half ago. Currently carrying a backup -- but that is in case I break a string in mid-set. I always bring a backup. You never know what will happen in some of these honky-tonks.

N/A....bought it used from a storage unit when the previous owner left town...

Been playing guitar 42 years. Own Gibson ES-175/1966 Gibson non-reverse Firebird/1966 Strat/Korean Strat/Custom MJ Tele-style/Dobro/Flattop/Steinberger GT-Pro/MJ Custom Bass/two lapsteels. Would try to get another Dano if this one was lost, preferably a similar model. Would enjoy Innuendo's additional effects. This instrument is light as a feather and lends itself to plenty of showoff antics. Never gets heavy during the last set!

Mosrite-shaped Masonite/plywood body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, medium jumbo frets, old school Fender-bender-style trem, Strat-style pickup setup, sealed tuners, built-in distortion.

Sound : 10
I'm amazed at the tone. Played acoustically, the guitar resonates with a nice Tele-like zing. Plugged in, the first thing you notice is how strongly wound the pickups are, giving a nice fat tone with lots of bite and punch. I record with this guitar constantly and get lots of compliments on the tone. It doesn't suss a Strat or Tele 100%-- instead, it has it's one nice unique tone. Who knew this would happen from a $100 guitar?

Played live, the body resonates enough that you can get some great controlled feedback. The distortion has great kitsch value, and you can use the knob as a filter for some wild noise effects.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Once again, I'm amazed. It has the tightest fit and finish of any guitar under $500 that I have played. Super-clean fret job, nut cut correctly and not binding, no burrs on the finish, and the neck joint is ultra-tight. I had a Gibson with fretwork that was SLOPPY in comparison.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Two years in, and the only problem I've had is a scratchy volume pot hence the 9 (I reserve 10 for completely trouble-free ownership). Even the fret wear hasn't been too bad, and I play this often.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I usually repair guitars myself, so I have no clue.

Overall Rating : 10
This guitar is super-cheap, sounds really punchy yet warm and fat, plays wonderfully, is pretty light, balances perfectly, is rock solid, and looks like a Mosrite. What else do you need? I also play Fenders and Ibanezes on gigs, but I open shows on the Dano and use it for a good third of my sets and ALWAYS get complimented on it.

With the famous masonite/plywood construction, triple pick-up and 5 way selector and built in effects-this guitar is awesome. maple meck and rosewood fret board round out this fine guitar.

Sound : 10
Every sound, any sound......what a sound! no fret buzz and quiet pots, this axe covers all bases, from punk all the way to easy listening. The 5 way selector is very versatile and ACTUALLY changes sound with each position. The built in effect is super CHEESY but I like it that way!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Factory set up was perfect, the fit and finish follows suit. Why not own a piece of hisory for the price of a stomp box ? The tuners are much better than average on a guitar in this price range.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Just bought it and havent used it live yet, but in the studio it feels rock-solid. Hardware is supreme, strap buttons are excellent. I would use it with-out a back-up. Danelectro has been around since "47, they now what they're doing!

Customer Support : 10
This company backs all their products 100%....they are the ultimate in customer suppor.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing 15 years and this is guitar/bass #14 and is now my favorite. I am now on a mission to get a hold of all the dano's out there. Why spend the big bucks when you can get OUT OF THIS WORLD TONE at a fraction of the price. All dano's are collectable, even the new ones...get 'em now while they last...you won't be disappointed.

It was made in China.
21 frets.
It has a laminated top.
It has a volume,tone,effects,and a 5 way selector.
When I got it it included a gig bag with squiggles,a small amp,and a cord. The bag and the amp have a kind of retro look. It is a midnight blue sparkly guitar with a beautiful light wood color neck. It has a wammie bar also. It has lots of features but not every thing you could posibly ask for.

Sound : 9
My music style is mostly rock type songs. It does great with the distortion. I am using a small amp that came with it. It gets noisy if you put everything all the way up.If you strum too hard you sometimes get a buzzing. But it has a bright sound. It has a 5 way selector but they don't sound too differen't. the tone works real nice it can make it sound real nice. I like almost everything about it
in fact i dont think there is anything i dont like about it.I just dont like when it buzzes whenI strum it too hard.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
Everything is great in this catigory nothing rusted or anything.

Reliability/Durability : 9
It will whithstand any playing.
The hardwhare and everything seems like it will last I've had it for almost a year.I play a lot and the finish does not come of. I use a strap once in a while and the strap buttons turn some.I can depend on it and if I went to an open mic night I would bring that and only that.I give it a 9 because of the strap button.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never delt with the company.
It never needed to get repaired.
I think it has a one year warranty I dont care about a warranty I only care about playing im 10!

I've been playing 2 years.
If it were stolen or lost i would buy another one but I don't know how you can loose a big guitar.
I love the color and the features. my favorite feature is the distortion. I dont hate anythind about it. I got it for christmas I compared it to a red one I liked this one because it is my favorite color.I wish it came with money but other than that it would be cool for it to have a built in amp. I also have an acustic guitar .I give it a 9 because it could maby have more.
