The year it was bulit in I think was in 2000. It has 22frets and im not to sure what the body is actully made out of but it seems like plywood or laminated wood. Lipstick pickups as always with Dano, has the Select-O-Matic pickup swith and a lead and rythm swicth and the volume and tone in one. maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, it's got a funky sliver sparkle finsh with cream vinyl on the sides which I think is pretty sweet myself and a clear pickguard. all metal chrome bridge it don't have the wood like the other Danos do, Gotoh tuners which are pretty nice. Nice thin neck which I think is very fast because I'm use to thin necks.

I play Gospel, Country, Blues, Jazz, and Classic Rock and it is wonderful for all. A poor mans Gretsch some people say. The lipstick pickups our good enough to backmouth your mama! tune down all the strings down a whole step to drop D and it will melt you, I play through a 73, super reverb and it will almost make you cry. Has so much varitey with all the pickups.

I fooled around with the bridge and got it steup to my likein' and it is wonderful, I adjusted the pickups and everything that could be adjusted and steup the neck just a tad and it's great every thing on this guitar is really good execpt the bridge, it's better than the ones with the wood but still is a little off.

if it is takin care of to your best of abilaty it is great but for those who just throw their guitar around and is riff with their stuff I would say it wouldn't last you one gig. everything is pretty solid and as far as the electronics it is really dependable. The finsh is great I use Zymol cleaner wax on my guitars and it makes them shine like theirs no tomorrow. the finish is really good. I'm a perfectionist when it comes tomy guitars so I take exterme care of it so it is very reliable.

Right now I'm a guitar player as a profession. The guitar is wonderful I bought it used like I said without a scratch on it I bought in a pawn shop for $75.00, the man did not know what he had, as far as value it was the most expensive guitar he had. Whoever had the guitar before I did was also a prefectionist as me also so like I said it is in perfect condition, it didn't even look like it had been played.

1999 Korean made, gibson scale I think, constructed of the finest masonite and plywood. Good versatility here. 6 way select-o-matic knob with a 'blow' switch which activates all three lipsticks. Surprising solid construction with the exception of the feeble strap pegs which are plastic and pressed in. They act as an involuntary quick release mechanism. Mine is finished in a really garish aqua sparkle boat paint. Flawless finish. Gotoh tuners with a solid metal bridge to boot.

Un-be-liev-able. This guitar puts out the coolest twangy sound around. Out of a Crate g-15r, Rocket A20R, or a smokey you get a distinctive deep tone. The selecto switch gives you a ton of versatility here and the blow gives you really powerful stuff. I love this guitar.

Neck/body hookup is very tight and solid. I can find no flaws on the body or in how the pickups fit in. This guitar is super-clean. The finish is straight out of a boat show. If my limbs were ripped off tomorrow I would sell all my guitars except this guitar and just hang it on a wall. Neck is pretty smooth and quick.

I've only had this for about 2 months but you can tell it's pretty solid. EXCEPT for the strap buttons. It blows my mind that they would go to such trouble to make a great little player and then get chincy on the buttons! They are little plastic pegs that are pounded into the frame, they aren't even glued! I've already pulled one out and almost dropped guitar on it's head. They need to sell or provide some kind of upgrade or fix kit for this. Besides the strap buttons this is a real winner.

I haven't been playing guitar long but was raised in a musicaly family. Played drums for a while and learned to identify decent instruments. This is a great instrument for the money and it's got something you don't find in all the major brands-I don't know what but I like it. Overall I think that if you only have $300 to drop this is the guitar for you. If you have $600 to drop and want an original guitar with great tone and a distinct vibe this is the guitar for you. Buy one, now. I mean it, get going.
