Solid Mahogany body with 1\2 inch maple AAAAA top. Glued in Neck through construction, With that Huge headstock to give it a little more resonance. The pickups are USA Dimarzio's
(Neck, 57) (Mid Super3)(bridge Super Distortion) I really loved the different tones you can get out of this guitar. the super 3 works surprisingly well in the mid. position. and the combination gives this guitar a well rounded palet of colors. If you're playing Jazz this Probobly wouldn't be your ride. But any rocker, R&B, blues guy can scream on it and the neck warms up well if you wanted to play in a Jazz situation.

The guitar is Amazing to look at! when you open the case you can hear the "aahhhhhh" as if the angels are sighing...The 5A top blows away any of the custom shop Les Pauls the Chevron is Just awsome! The 7 ply binding adds oh so much class. That's right kids, 7 ply binding. The Neck: The V in the neck dosen't feel like other V necks or boat necks. I don't know what it is It just feels right. Ask anyone with a Dean USA and they'll say the same thing.
The only flaw in the guitar is right under the explorer point. On my guitar it looks like someone in the factory touched it with there thumb on the first coat of laquer. You need to look for it but it's there. But I digress, This thing is a fantastic guitar to behold and get a bit more ooo's and aaahh's than your average gtr. As far as Action goes, I've never had any guitars come from the factory "perfect" Everyone is different , it was very playable and easy to setup. It also comes standard with a Tone Pro's Bridge, I wish I had thought of those little screws to hold the TOM Bridge oh well.... And it was hand signed and numbered by Dean Zelinski himself if your into that kind of thing. He does have a cool signature and it's in gold ink very coooool. ooooooooooo.

These Guitar's are built like the custom guitars in the 70's and 80's that only the famous people got. (I.E. Billy Gibbons, Elliott Easton, Sammy Hagar etc..) You couldn't buy one of these then. So needless to say they are made for the road. Gold Hardware Grover Tuners, Tone Pro Bridge, Solid through and through.

Aaahhh Yes finally Customer service. When I bought the guitar I called and a real person answered. I wanted to know what the 3 pickups where and they shuffled me over to the dept. with the answer. also, the tech was very cool to talk to and we talked about diffrent guitars and such, for a few... I liked this guitar sooo much I ended up getting a hardtail. and one of the pickups had a scratch on it so I called to see if they would give me a deal to replace it, and they just overnighted me one, Bam!! No questions asked...That's how it should be!

I'm not going to talk about myself and give a resume. I have 34 guitars and have played about everything out there. All I do is music, So if you're lookin for a great Rock guitar that will make you stand out....This'll do it. A really fun Great guitar. With a great look.
I would say it ranks in Quality with My Les Paul Custom Shop's and My PRS's, But it is a different animal with it's own thing. I think that's what I like about it. It's not just a same ol same ol all the custom wanta be PRS and Gibson style guitars this really does have it's own soul. If you can find one, get it.....you won't be dissapointed.

What I have is a 03 caddi timecapsule, trans purple orig. v shaped neck w/22 frets and gold tone pro's hardwear. The flame top is beautiful and the workmanship is great. It has two custom dimarzio humbuckers and a 3 way switch. The woods are mahogany and maple and did I say this ting is f-ing beautiful. The only flaw is on the 10th fret area the wood is a little lighter than the rest of the neck, other than that it is a great guitar.

This guitar is very simular to a les paul standard but not as chunky/overweight sounding. I played this guitar through a marshall 800, a mesa boogie dc-5, a old tube randall, a carvin quad w/t100, and a legacy. the cabinets I used were a marahall 800 slant, and a legacy slant, the guitar gave a great thick tone through all levals of distortion but what caught my ears is when I played clean through all the set ups, in the middle position this is the first double humbucker guitar that actually sounded bell like phase style (for the fender fans) Kick ass.

Other than the slight wood blem on the neck beautiful f-ing beautiful. I like my rear picukup a little closer to the strings than most so that was an adjustment

I beleive that this guitar would withstand the worst touring. But unless you have deep pockets, endorsed, or don't care that you have a rare insrument I think you would leave it at home.

Dean is a great company, I have never had to have them help me but they never disapoint

I have been playing now for thirty years now, I own gibson, hamer, fender, gretch, kramer, carvin, jackson, charvel, fernandes, esp, valley arts and martin guitars. and in my younger years I always wanted a dean caddi, beacuse it was the coolest looking les paul on the planet, with the big v head stock and explorer lower horn. If this guitar was loss or stolen I would do what I would have to do toget another one.

This is my setup i run a marshall tsl 602 combo and i also have a mesa boogie 50 50 W rocktron voo doo and marshall 1960av 4 12 cabnet Overall the guitar sonds pretty darn good has good sustain good les paul style sound i think they could have put a on off switch for the middle pick up beacause somtimes its just a little too much. But overall pretty good warm tone this is not the guitar if your looking for a good clean fender sound though. Nothing spectacullar

Ok i bought this guitar new in 2005 when i got it i had ordered it off the internet (witch i will never do again). When i got he guitar initally i was stunned buy how beauitful it was. But then upon close inspection i grdually became very disappointed. First off the nut was all chipped up and the strings were very sloppy in the nut. The truss rod cover was also very crooked. Binding was rough on neck. There was a(HUGE FISH EYE)in the clear coat were the neck meets the body it was very ugly. And then i began to understand why this guitar #1 out of 100 was still for sale. Some of he fret inlays were sticking up out of the fretboard probably about 1/64th of an inch And covered in glue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was this some kind of sick joke how could the sell a supposed botique guitar That was in this condition. Now i know why i dont see any pros playing a dean. LAME!!!!!!!!

This is were i was amazed i had read somewere were dean had great customer service well if you call a free keychain and t shirt good then i guess. beacause that is what they did for me. Ok they took the guitar back and they fixed the inlays except for the glue was still showing all over the neck they put a new carbide nut on which works great but its not "orignal". The truss rod cover is still crooked and the finish is still rough on the neck binding, and now the binding on the neck is two different colors. I told the guys at dean and they basically told me i was stuck with it unless i wanted another "Dean" guitar. I would take another one but only if i needed wood for a big FIRE FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man the reason i bought this guitar was beacause when i seen the pictures of it it was beauityful. And i was already the owner of a korean dean which i was very pleased with. A cheap 400$ guitar, but man pay the extra $ and get a fender or a gibson. The construction of this guitar was unacceptable. And their customer service is even worse!!!!!!!!!! If it were stolen i would laugh at the fool that stole it
