Korean made, 23 frets, solid spruce top, Shadow P7 pickup, Grover tuners, rounded edges. Del Fuego/Metallic red.

Like the last reviewer said it's kinda bassy, but that's good in my book. The sound unplugged isn't as full or pronounce as my dreadnought, but that's obvious. Still very good unplugged, nonetheless. Plugged in, on the other hand, it's great. The pickup eq is very versatile and it can go from bright and twangy to bassy and rich. I still have the stock strings on it (they're all dirty and nasty) so when I put in some Martin SPs it'll undoubtingly sound much better.

Action was good out of the box so no complaints in that department. Mine's metallic red with a light sparkle and it looks wonderful. The abalone fret inlays and rosette are beautiful as well, extremely well done. I also like the binding that's on the neck and goes fully around the headstock. The Grover tuners are great as well.

I really care of this guitar so I'm not too sure how it would hold up to rigorous use. It seems durable enough to me.

If something would happen to my Contour, I'd try to buy another one (even though they're now discontinued). For $199, this was a steal. I'm thoroughly impressed with this guitar in every aspect.

Sounds GREAT! A little Bassy, but thats fine. Full and RIch Souns. Very nice P7 Band equalizer. Havent plugged it in myself, but i hear it sounds awesome.

Action i a bit high, but the strings are nice and soft--- easy to play. The Guitar is A very Beautiful Onyx Finish, and the abalone inlays and rosette add to that beauty. There is also abalone ont the headstock which gives it a very nice look. The guitar is matched very well, and is
made with quality woods. Only one strap peg. Very nice tuners.

The finish is nice and seems as if it will hold up. Im sure it will withstand live playing, and seems very dependable.

All the features are already talked about by Dean website www.deanguitars.com but a few good things to mention about:
23 frets, made in Korea, lighter than usual acoustic and smaller body, fantastic paint job (perl-white with sparkle) with all corners smooth out for comfort. and a thin neck for more acurate chord playing for people with small hands. it's EQ is also a great asset on a guitar at this price range--> Shadow P7 system
Sound
:

I'm only using it for self entertainment or show off infront of freinds. Sometimes play with a few freinds. It has a brighter sound than usual acoustic (maybe due to the thiner body) with Shadow P7
it has sub bass, bass, mid, bright treble and volume allow a huge range of sound effects.

Because i bought mine as a second round (with finish flaws)
it was cheap but if those flaws didn't exist, this guitar would shine infront of a crowd. The flaws are only minor. a barely noticeble thin paint spot at the side and a small crack in paint at the corner between the back and the side near the neck. Also a thin crack in the paintbecause the laqour coat covers the fine crack, i'm not worried at all.

the neck looks really sturdy and can withstand harsh jamming.....
but I pamper it too much so i haven't really test it's limit
one concern: the silky smooth paint (my is perl-white) looks like it would be easily scratched......

From Dean official website, 5 year warranty (manufacture defact) to the original buyer with the reciept. The factory is in Florida so i guess CS would require the owner be VERY good with their EQ if any unthinkable tragedy should occur

i've been playing guitar for 10 years (on and off)
and i can tell u this guitar is a great bang for ur money (well, at least for my with the finish flaw) i used to own a fender (can't remember it's model). IT's a great guitar but i won't buy it again if i loose it b/c there are so many great guitars out there to try out. ( but i don't want to loose it by any means)

Korean-made acoustic, 24 fret, single cutaway. Not sure, but probably mahogany body with a spruce top. It's the Tundra model, so it's a beautiful white with some sparkle in it.Has the 3 band equalizer with a saddle pickup and can really be adjusted for different amps or venues.Grover tuners, nice neck, rosewood frets. I traded a Epiphone Joe Pass and $100 for it, and got a gig bag and a new set of strings.

Sounds great. I probably won't plug it in much, but I can if I want to.Very nice sound from bass through treble.

Maybe slightly high on the action, but that can be played with and it really isn't a glowing problem. Fit and finish are superb. Very impressive for a guitar in this price range.

Seems to be very solid. I just play for myself and occasionally "jam" with some friends. I don't see any problems with it as a primary instrument, although I have a Guild Songbird and a Les Paul if this one goes south.

I'm pretty excited about this guitar. I've been playing for almost thirty years on and off. I own a Guild Songbird, a Epiphone Les Paul and a 40's vintage arch top Silvertone. I love the look and playability of the Dean. I also looked at some Gibsons (out of my price range) Epiphones, Yamahas, Tacomas, etc. Something about the Deans really struck me. For the price, they are an exceptional value.

I think if you're reading this, then you're already interested in the guitar and know the features already. If you don't, then go to musiciansfriend.com and they'll give a you a nice summary... but I will say this guitar allows you to have very much control when plugged in to an amp...
It's an acoustic though so how many features could it actually have.... ?

Has a pretty bassy sound, especially for a steel string a/e. I enjoyed the sound much though, it's pretty full.

Action was very high. Had to lower it alot. The saddle piece is specially made for the guitar so not custom work can be done on it.
It is a VERY good looking guitar though. It has little add-on pieces all over it for better looks. Good looking abolone inlays, around the soundboard, up on the headstock. Beautiful guitar. Good paint job. Some parts on the headstock where it goes from the color of the guitar, mine being blue to white, you can see a little paint overlapping into white. Which is ugly, but you really have to be looking to notice.

I don't do gigs since I pretty much just play for fun and record a few things on my computer here and there. But I have played it before for a couple hours straight, goofing around with it and playing seriously and it's still alive, so I'm sure it would be fine in a gig. Strap buttons are solid also. The input on the guitar for the amp is where the strap button is if that's important at all. I just noticed that if you take off the strap button while it's plugged in, then you won't drop your guitar. If you understand what I'm saying.

Got it from musiciansfriend.com and didn't have any warranty... so can't reply. I did try to order a new saddle piece from them though and wouldn't reply since I didn't have a warranty. I told them I'd pay for it and everything, they didn't reply back. I had to order a new piece in the mail costing me 30 dollars. For a damn saddle piece. (They're usually around 8...) By the way, the place I ended up purchasing it through was a local Dean dealer.

If I lost it, I wouldn't buy another one. I also wouldn't buy another Dean product. I was pretty proud with it for a while. But it wasn't worth the money. I enjoy playing my friend's 200 dollar epiphone more than mine.
Around the 13 through 17 frets on the G, D, A, and E strings have passed away. There is no sound coming from them. I might pay to get the guitar fixed or I'll just sell it. Probably sell it though... thanks for reading my blabber. Bye.
