Dean Guitars DIME DIXIE REBEL

Rebel flag guitar.
Seymore duncan mics, the dimebucker signature.
China made but has a better quality feeling to it than alot of US made guitars I tried.

Hardcase was included.

I like the tone from the dimebucker, the tone could be nicer from the neck pickup on low volume but that was easy fixed with some electronics and a soldering iron.

The action and pickups was actually really good. Had to fix it some though in order to use heavier strings and detune.

I believe it seems to be of solid quality. It felt way better than alot of japan and usa guitars I've tried out. It has yet to experience live gigs so I guess only time will tell if it can handle a proper beating on the stage.

I managed to get a scratch in it, but that was my fault.. you got to lose that virginity sometime :)

Never had to deal with them.

I've been playing for many years. I have several japan-ibanez and jackson guitars, and for the price of this guitar I think it kicks ***.

It has a good sound and it feels really good to play it.

Hopefully I won't get my *** kicked by dumb****s who believe the confederate flag is only about racism when I bring it to the gigs ;)

UPDATE----after looking a little deeper into the finish cracking issue.....THIS GUITAR HAS A WARRANTY OF..5 YEARS MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP....I CALLED DEAN GUITARS AGAIN...SPOKE WITH BRAD AGAIN--HERES WHAT HE TOLD ME TO DO [ BRAD IS THE ONE THAT TOLD ME TO USE SUPER GLUE ]..??? i told him i was aware of this warranty 5 yrs.i am to send him a copy of the bill of sale[ fax]--he would then get back to me---then,send him the guitar...they would look at it and decide if they would replace it or repair it...i would pay shipping.he then admitted that DEAN was having a problem with the guitars finish---the paint is not being allowed to cure before the clear coat is sprayed on.....WOW,now thats great worksmanship.thats like spraying a clear coat on your car while the paints still wet.the paint under the clear finish is shrinking...thus the cracking.i've seen some on ebay with the same problem.....CHINA made DEANS ARE NO GOOD...

WORKMANSSHIP IS CRAP TO THE EXTREME......

THIS IS VERY INTERESTEING--before i bought the guitar,i researched it[i thought].american musical was and is selling these...they told me it was made in the u.s.a.--i knew it wasn't..so i called dean guitars..most of the staff was at the namm show,but i spoke to a staff member.i was told these were made in korea..i thought that this was great..i ordered and received the guitar ''' CHINA '''mfg.i looked it over..crack in the finish by the trem..i sent it back..AMS sent me another...no finish cracks[ i thought ]..i changed the string yesterday...yikes..finish crack by the top two tuners--all across the top from tuner to tuner.''' i'm screwed...45 days warranty has passed from AMS. electronis are fine--2 vol.1 tone--3 way sw.---p/ups are fine.. READ ON
