Features : No Opinion
The Dean ML deluxe is an American made set in neck beast. It's got a 3 way pick-up selector for the 2 semour duncan humbuckers. It has 2 volumes and 1 tone. The body and neck is made of Mahogany while the fretboard is Maple. The neck is thick and has 22 jumbo frets. The finish is the Brazilia burst on a transparent top that allows you to see the wood. The body is shaped with the rear of a "v" and the front of an explorer. The Bridge is an Original Floyd Rose. The tuners are high quality Grovers. There is a locking nut. It came with a huge case that was a must because only one type of case will fit this guitar. Overall, the guitar has everything it needs and is not lacking in the features department. Sound : No Opinion
This guitar has a deep sound due to the size of the guitar and the heavy Mahogany body. It suits my metal perfectly. It is run through a VS100 Marshall head and two Marshall 1960 300 watt cabs. It is not noisy. It has a deep full sound on the clean channel. The guitar lends it's self to a 60's Joe Pass type guitar sound on the clean with the neck pickup. It isn't great for people who like that strat blues sound though. With distortion and the neck pickup it screams, has a good crunch to it

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
I don't remember how well it was set up from the factory because I tuned it down a whole step almost as soon as I got the guitar. The pickups are adjusted by turning a screw so that is very easy to correct if your not satisfied with the hight. The wood is cut properly. There is one dent underneath the rear of the Floyd where the bridge is pulled back into when raising the notes with the bar. But it is hard to notice because you must be looking under the fine tuning pegs of the bridge.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
The guitar has given me very few problems in the 8 months I've been playing live shows with it. I've given it some pretty good bangs and the finish still only has slight blemishes. I replaced the straps with a Strap Lock system just because I can't have $1200 worth of guitar hanging on by a "thread" so to speak. The problem I've encountered recently is that the bridge pickup was somehow falling off one of the hight adjustment screws. I remedied the problem by double nutting the screw underneath the pickup rather then just using the one nut that came with the guitar. I would never use it without a backup guitar live just because when you break a string on a Floyd Rose equiped guitar all the strings go extremely sharp and it takes a little while longer to change strings then with a hard tail

Customer Support : No Opinion
The company is good as far as support. I live closely to where they have a dealer so no problem is to hard to handle if I need help. I've never needed a repair on it. I think the warranty if 5 years.

I've been playing about 3 and a half years. I own a gibson acoustic, La Patrie classical, and strat. I originally looked for a BC Rich, but couldn't find any body who sold them. Now that I have seen some I see that the type of features I would have wanted would have been over 2,000 dollars. What I hate is when people say to me "What kind of keyboard is that?" when they see the case I carry it around in. The case is probably bigger then any electric guitar case I've ever seen. I just wish the case would have been made of playwood like the really nice Carvin cases. I compared it with some Jacksons, but frankly I see way too many of them and I couldn't locate too many high end models with the features I got for my Dean. And one more thing. Does anybody else remember how much annoyment they got out of tuning there first Floyd equiped guitar, man it took me a good month before changing strings and getting tuned was easy.
