Made in China. not sure what year. 22 frets. solid top. It has two volume and 1 tone nob. H/H set up for pick-ups. I liked the sound of the Deans that where in it but wanted hotter, so I swapped them out with GuitarHeads MegaMetals. Now this guitar sounds incredable! They are a passive Pick-up but have the sound of actives. The body is Basswood and the Neck is Maple with a rosewood fretboard. The body is White with a urban camo graphic with little Dimebag's hidden in it. Dean ML style body with a string-thru set up. It comes with Grover tuners but I don't think they are the same as the grovers on higher end guitars. The neck has a similar feel to the LTD EC-1000 my friend has. It's a great action.

It fits my musical tastes perfect. I play metal. mostly death/speed metal. I use a modified Marshall JCM 600 through a Peavey 412ms. I never like the amp distortions or overdrives so I use a electro Harmonics Metal Muff which is great. This thing is really quite I like to scoop the mids. this set up is super bright and heavy at the same time. I want to be able to hear every note when I'm playing without losing some to mudding I can pull that off with this. I have an Ibanez S470 and the amp gets a bit thin. Marshall's like guitars that have lots of wood to get any low end.

I'm not sure how it came from the factory I'm the second owner but it could use a bridge upgrade. I put new pickups in ti so I got to set them where i wanted them. The Neck joint Did creek like one of the other posts said but just tighten the screws a little and that goes away. I love camo paint jobs but this one is a bit cheesie. I'm going to redo it. The hardware is a little on the cheep side but good enough. I don;t like the tuners they like to get lose. I'm going to upgrade the hardware when I paint it again. I love the action though it's way better than it should be for a guitar in this price range. players pay big buck to find guitars that feel this good.
overall construction I give it a 5 but with a little work it could be an 8
the playablity of this guitar is a 9 for me i love to play it.
when I'm done customizing it i think it will be a solid 9 but for now.

I think you could beat the crap out of this thing. the only problem you may have is with the tuners but the are cheap to fix. I don't think the finish will last more than a month on the road with a working band. Upgrade to a locking strap or you'll be picking this guitar up off the floor. It is very dependable. I would always have a bck up guitar myself but I won't be worried about needing it.

I've played for about 10 years. I own a Ibanez s470 Japanese model with a tune-o-matic. A Jackson Kelly and a Crate GFX-212 along with the gear I mentioned above. If this where stolen I would up-grade to a higher end Dean ML most likely but if I happened across one of theses first I'd get it again for the right price. I love the action and it sounded really good with the original pick-ups but it sounds great now with the Guitarheads I put in it. I hate the Paint Job I will be redoing it. The action is my favorite thing about this guitar. I wish it had a floyd rose tremelo. Don't expect this to be a super nice guitar out of the box but with a little tweeking you should love it.

got mine for ??210 brand new, some good features for the money, grover tuners are solid but for some reason the g string slips every now and then. the factory setup was poor, the neck joint was loose but after i tightened the bolts it wasnt a problem, the strap buttons also come loose after a while. the neck pickup is beautiful, brilliant cleans and an awesome clapton lady tone. the bridge pickup leaves alot to be desired though. the basswood body is suprisingly light, playing sitting down it is incredibley comfortable although the neck dives when standing, but you soon get used to it.

as i mentioned the neck pickup is incredible, bridge pickup not so good. the string thru design gives brilliant sustain, especially with heavy guage strings although the bridge occasionally buzzes but crank your amp and you wont notice. the guitar was clearly designed with the metal head in mind, unfortunatley the bridge pickup fails on that front. as far as versatility is concerned the guitar has it all, it plays anything from jazz to stoner rock. the electronics work very well, the tone knob actually works which is rare these days, one slight problem, the toggle switch is very loud.

ive never played a neck like it, amazing action. innotation was a problem but after i set it up properly it was fine. the guitar looks awesome, although if you dont like pantera then you will probably think it looks gross.
one problem is getting a case for it, i paid ??60 for the dean ml softcase which is as good as a hardcase but it would be nice if it came with the guitar like the more expensive deans.

ive had the guitar for a couple of years now and it still plays well, the paintwork is durable and the finish hasnt aged. i wouldnt risk using this for a gig without a backup as it the strap buttons and jack are a worry.

the factory set up was poor and the guitar came with no details for customer support, if you dont know alot about guitars, i would recommend having a word with your local guitar store

If you're reading this review, you already know the features on this guitar. I bought mine brand new at Guitar Center in Nashua, NH.

The pickups sound pretty dull but better than other low end guitars I've played. I have a variety of different amps, vintage Marshalls, Rack mount effects, and modeling combo amps, so I can make even a $50 Walmart First Act guitar sound decent.

The action was a bit high but not bad at all. The simple strung through the body hardware makes for an easy setup. And you gotta love putting that V shaped part of the body on your thigh and rocking it out!

I have only used it at a couple of gigs, mainly because I don't have a case for it (which isn't cheap or easy to find), and because frankly it would sound dull after playing my high end guitars. However, despite having Grover tuners on it, the damn thing goes out of tune very easily. Because it seems to be the G string the most, I assumed my strings were just crappy but even with a new set of Dean Markley blue steels, it still goes out of tune. G string goes first.

I have been playing semi-pro for over 15 years in a cover band of some sort. I play guitar to suppliment my income, and manage to pull in an extra $15k a year playing for drunk idiots at bars and clubs.
Buying this guitar was an impulse buy, because I'm a big fan of Dimebag. I wish I would have held out and bought a higher end model that I would actually use instead of hanging it on the wall as a decoration.
I would consider replacing the pickups and realize that finding and buying a case for it is not going to be easy.

Has all the features one would expect, Looks cool with the urban-camo effect, not too big on the sparkly silver, but it was $200 used, so how can you complain
Sound

Again, for $200, this thing sounds great. it's a guitar that is made for metal, has awesome sustain, and I haven't played another guitar that is in this price range that comes close.

This is my biggest complaint - the neck creaks a lot where it joins to the body. Also when I picked it at my local Guitar Center the input jack was loose. But the store staff did the old toothpick trick and fixed 'er up good as new. The action on this guitar rules though, I have owned a few $1000+ guitars, and none of them have had a neck as fast as this thing. 9-10 rating for the action, 5 for the fit and finish

I suppose this will stand up to live shows, though I would replace the tuners first - they like to mysteriously drop out every now and then. Mainly the G string.

I've been playing for for about 18 years, mostly Strat's and Ibanez. If this guitar were stolen I would buy another in a second, though I'd probably upgrade to the floyd rose equipped model. This is one of those guitars that just puts you in the zone and you don't wanna stop playing it. It has its faults but it's a very fun guitar to play, and super cheap to own.

Basically it suits my style fine,i have never owned string thru but that seems to give the axe alot of sustain.I`d like to point out i have an american Strat plus i needed a backup,i grew up with les pauls and hamer, for the price this isnt a bad axe,its a case of you get what you pay for.

Set up on mine was crappy,as expected,i didnt as i`ve said before expect some miricle axe,the holes the guy before mentioned in the knobs are there on purpose, kinda cool if you asked me,my frets are decent, and the body as radically shaped as it is is light as basswood is.

this axe will withstand live playing the finish may not last i cant tell yet but it does look good,it is dependable, the hardware excluding the grovers may be cheesy i cant tell yet.

As with any import you arent gonna get a mega quality, perfectly set up guitar,i also have owned a 500.00 dillion wolfgang that i was constantly fuckin with. This axe is better than that. For the price you get it for, simply install a good set of pickups, pots and switch just like i did probably an extra 100.00 and the axe will become a good solid 8.
