Reliability/Durability : 10
this guitar is tough, nothing cheap on it.
I bought it as a back up guitar and it won me over in 2 days.

Overall Rating : 10
It started as a backup.......... the quality is incredible.
It's a bit heavy.
My main guitar was a Ibanez JS 1991.I never thought i would replace it.Even if they are not the same style of guitars, The EVO won me over. I just don't know how i'll annonce it to my IBANEZ!!!!

Hand made in the Czech Republic, Honduras Mahogany body, ebony fretboard, Super-thick maple top, unusually comfortable and innovative neck joint, Schaller tuners, Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker pickups, fully bound, block inlays, gold hardware,
coil taps on the humbuckers, one tone, one volume knob.
Basically the same as a premium EVO, but a solid black top instead of
a flamed or quilted one.

Having a real problem here. I?m not sure, but I may really hate these
pearly gates pickups. The distortion tone is thin, harsh and ?broken up? sounding??
Dirty, bluesy, little sustain and not fat and smooth as I would expect from a mahogany LP style guitar. The clean tone is very ?plastic? and cheap sounding. Unusable.
I just KNOW this guitar can sound better. It?s as if the pickups aren?t even communicating with that premium Honduran mahogany body???
I switched out the bridge pickup with a spare gibson 500T I had hanging around and although it gave the distorted sound more balls, it was still lacking in tone in it?s own 500T kind of way??
I?m shooting for an old U2/Edge kind of tone. Warm, fat, with a very
ballsy, smooth, singing and vintage type of overdrive. But a quality clean tone also. Something that really works the woods of the guitar???
I would greatly welcome any suggestions for the ?right? pickups for this guitar. Bridge position in particular.
Maybe a Duncan 59 ?

Besides certain PRS models, probably the most gorgeous guitar I?ve ever seen! Real similar to a LP custom black beauty, but with much sexier curves!
Fast and comfortable neck feel. The blackest finish possible.
Heavy guitar though.
I had some string buzz with the g string, and the jumbo frets
are way too high for my tastes. If I can manage to find the right
pick-ups/tone for this guitar, then I?ll spend the cash to get these frets lowered drastically.
Physically and visually, a work of art. Sonically????incomplete.
A real love/hate relationship I?m having with this one??

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Fine so far. Seems very well built.

Never dealt with them.

I read a lot of info on this guitar and the new deans, got real
interested, but couldn?t find a single dealer in LA that had ANY
of the high-end deans! So I took a chance and bought one on-line
without ever hearing or playing one. Not recommended!
Still, I for some reason have faith in this one and will give it
another chance before considering parting with it.
I?ve been real let down by the Les Pauls of late and was hoping
this would be the quality, low-cost contender to give Gibson
a kick in the behind.
