Dean Guitars ML Ultra

i ordered this guitar from guitar center, came with the free case (which was a verrrryyy nice 150$ hard case) and it was great. i like how this guitar was made to where it was just like the actual guitar Darrel used. the pickups fit my taste perfectly, as im into metal completely. the guitar feels great for me. only 22 frets is slightly dissapointing, because some COB songs go past 22 on the high E string but thats not stopping me from loving this thing. the guitar never goes out of tune on me, it goes for days. nothing screws up on me.. but people seem to complain that the guitar goes out of tune and all, and the strings are too high, but i guess they fixed my guitar before they ordered it, cus it NEVER goes out of tune even when using the licensed floyd rose which is not the real thing, but it works just as great. the strings werent too high on mine, like 1/4 inch off the fretboard.. rather low if you ask me. anyways, they did a good job on this guitar and it kicks ass.

what i love about this guitar is how powerful it is on overdrive. it sounds better than most guitars when on overdrive, and the clean sounds almost perfect.

the action of this guitar was unbelievably awsome. this guitar was FRESH out of the box and in its case when i got it. it played awsome.. i hear people complain about the action sucking cus the strings too high up.. but the company set the guitar up for me before i got it to where its perfect. the pickup doesnt even need the duct tape on it, the string doesnt go anywhere near to getting hooked on the pickup. this guitar rules. never goes out of tune on me.

the guitar has never failed on me before.. i can definitely depend on this guitar for playing at a show. the finish is perfect. not even a tiny flaw or scratch on it when i got it

never had to get this thing repaired, its just plain awsome. the support on it was awsome too, when i called them about on how to tune it, they told me exactly what i had to do. it came with a 5 year warranty too which is just fantastic.

i love every feature on this guitar.. i tried lots of guitars while at guitar center and this one fit my personallity the best. thats why i chose it. and the action and sound was just right for me.

So, So Clean, Metallica, Pantera, Slayer...So Freakin clean. Cemetary Gates sounds to good to be true. Hendrix, the Ramones....So clean. And it sounds great unpugged.

Well you always have to change the strings and riase the pickups. The body is HEAVY, and it is a ML so you do have to hold it kinds funny.

This guitar was made in 1997 I belive In koria it has 22 medium jumbo frets, It has 2 volume controls and one tone ,H H pickup configuration , pickups are stock shitty dean zebra pickups , passive electronics , Body is probably alder neck is maple , The finish is trans-red , Body style is the strange ml shape , Floyd rose fake trem (peice of shit) Gotoh tuners , Very fat neck And has the same beautiful finish on it as does the guitar , I had to buy the case seperate (wich is a bitch i might add because the case is huge and cost like 150 bucks.

This doesnt suit my style anymore I play neo-classical now and This guitar is good for metal I suppose , Im not using this guitar anymore because it basically sucks , The pickups are pretty quiet for stock , It has a shitty bassy sound I hate it....Not much variety here...My dislikes is the fact that I can never keep the damn thing in tune and that this is a set neck (beautiful job by the way) but the action is very high and no matter how I tweaked it i could never get it very low basically I hate this guitar

Factory setup was horrable and the pickups where adjusted horrable and the action...don't even get me started on that it was like an inch and a half away from the fret board ug , The guitar is definatally beautiful though that I can't deny other than the main things the guitar looks great but plays horribly

I've never delt with dean but this guitar took me a whole year to get....and It wasn't worth it at all...Im pissed at these guys...this guitar sucks ass , I'll never buy another dean , Because all i've had is problems with this thing....The pickups shorted out i can't even remember how many times...the floyd would never stay in tune...no matter how I set it up...bah
