I bought this guitar last month.
I didn't want a washburn, because they are only copies with signature... even if I like Dimebag's playing, I prefer to not have Dime written on it...
This model has a great vintage style (brazlian sunburst) with its unique shape. 22 frets, no floyd (I don't mess with them). H-H pickups, the originals that I like very much (loud level, warmth).
Mine is from Korea, but the finish is great. delivered with a fly case...

no noise at all, very high output pickup (passive). the sound is reach an defined. this guitar is made for distortion.
I play it with a custom 100w high gain tube head and a 70's marshall cab with 4 Celestion Greenback.
It sounds good on vintage (british) amps too, crunching them easily.
very good rock and metal guitar.
clean is not so bad, but it's not a guitar made for that purpose... forget fenderish crisp tone!
I play mostly hardcore, and this guitar was made for me!

No need to mess with anything on it; when it comes in it flycase, I just had to open it and to plug it and it sounded as hell!!!!
the guitar was tuned in the case ;-)...
The strings were to thin and I put Dean Markley 0.011 - 0.052 tuned 1 step lower... an then the sound got richer and more defined...

It's too soon to say anything about this, but this guitar seems reliable.

I've been playing guitar for 10 years, and was looking for a new guitar. I make custom amps, and I wanted a good guitar for a good price with a special design. I have tryed Gibson, Fender, Fernandez, Ibanez and Collector Aria Pro 2... they're all good guitars, but the Dean ML is the low-mid tone I was looking for.
If someone would stole it or crash it, I would kill him (or her)...

This one i got second hand off my mate who got it in 1992. Built in Korea or USA i aint quite sure, 22-frets, 3 way pickup selector, H-H configuration. The original pickups in this were shite so i had em replace by a Dimarzio Paf Pro in the neck and a Dimarzio fred in the bridge. Mahogany Neck-Thru, ML Style body (cross between a flying V and an Explorer). Came with a licenced floyd which i had replaced with an original.

Basically i got this guitar because it was under huge recommendation by Dimebag Darrell (Pantera Guitarist) as he played these for about 5years before being endorsed by washburn. I didnt play much with the original pickups in but from what i can remember they were alright, nothing too special, alltho now with my paf n fred i can get awesome tones for almost anything that i want to play. THe construction and the quality of the wood is partly responsible for that as you can get quite a bit of sustain and resonance in this guitar. There is quite a large variety that you can get out of this guitar sound-wise. Artificial and pinched harmonics are easily achievable and all im playing through with it is a Marhsall 30DFX and a DigiTech Metal Master.

When i got this guitar it was litterly a piece of shit. Although in all fairness it had been sitting in a garage for about 3years. But im told that when it was first bought it wasnt in very good shape. Action was quite a bit off the fretboard. Pickups were fine. Balance was and still is quite poor. Neck heavy.

This guitar is immense for gigging with. Certainly a wow factor because of the shape of the guitar. Finish is still alright. Nothing has come off yet. Strap holders are fine. This is definately my first choice of guitar for gigging.

This is definately my favorite metal guitar that ive come across in all the years that ive been playing (6). It has exactly the right tone for about anything that i want to play and the neck is really fast for those speed solos. Although it did cost me another 130quid to fix up id still recommend this guitar to anyone who is a metal guitarist. This one is for you!

Bought used from a used instrument store here in Cincinnati, Ohio. 24 frets, solid top, 3-way toggle switch with 2 volumes and a tone knob. Bridge and neck rail humbuckers. Solid black finish with black hardware and rosewood fretboard with no fret markers combined with the traditional ML body style makes for an evil looking axe! Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover tuners.

I get a great tone out of this thing through my Marshall Valvestate 8100 head and cab. The only other effect I use is a Dunlop Crybaby wah, and I'm completely satisfied with the sound. The neck pickup is nice and warm, and through a different amp would provide a good jazz or blues tone. The bridge pickup is nice and crisp with good output and a bright, full tone. Very versatile guitar for just about any application.

The action was great when I got it, and then my friend borrowed it and lowered it even more. When I got it back, I couldn't believe how well this thing played! The action is set incredibly low, and it still has no fret buzz! I've never seen a guitar without fret buzz at this action setting. The finish is still nice and shiny; it almost looks like it's never been used with the exception of the bottom points where the paint is slightly worn through from setting the guitar on the ground. Overall, however, I have no complaints.

This is definitely a main axe. Using it as a backup would be wasting it's potential. The neck is solid, the finish seems durable, and I've yet to break a string on it. In the interest of preserving it's quality, I bought some Schaller strap locks when I bought the guitar, so I don't know about the factory strap buttons, but they looked solid. The only reason I wouldn't go without a backup with this axe is I've screwed myself before by not bringing a backup (before I got this one).

I haven't dealt with Dean before, and I bought it used, so there's no warranty. I don't anticipate having to deal with them, though, because I trust this guitar won't fall apart on me!

When I first saw this guitar, I was afraid to pick it up off the wall it looked so good. And then when I played it, I was absolutely in heaven. Even through a crappy amp, I could tell this one was a beauty. I left the store that day telling myself I couldn't be spending the money on a new guitar, and was back the next day with my checkbook. I haven't regretted the decision one bit.
