12 frets to teh body, 26.5 scale. Solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany sides and back. This was modeled after the old Stella 12 strings. Still has that great ladder braced sound, but with a few improvements including a more modern profile neck and radiused fingerboard playable by human beings. The old Stellas and most of the newer clones have flat fingerboards, which are hell to play.

Sound : 10
Suits my playing style (Leadbelly, Willie McTell, etc.) to a "T".

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Nearly perfect. Had to tweak the truss rod a bit, but othwise setup was great.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Built like a brick shithouse. I wouldn't hesitate to gig with this guitar.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them, so don't know. Hopefully I won't have to.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing for 15 years. Have a variety of old Oscar Schmidt made instruments.
