Made in Korea. 22 frets. Solid Mahogany top and back. One volume, one tone knob shared by both pickups. Dual mini chrome humbuckers, Maple neck with rosewood fretboard. Star pearl inlays on neck. Bigsby tremolo, semi chunky neck, Guitar came with DiPinto hardshell case. I have the Black and white Deluxe model with the white pearloid pickguard. This guitar looks like a million bucks...VERY SHARP looking. Has a look all of it's own....

Sound : 9
I play twangy rockabilly, country, rock and blues. This guitar has a wide sound capabilty. I use a Crate FXT120 amp, and this guitar sonds great no matter what setting I have it on. It does well clean, with a bright sound with the bridge pickup engaged, or with the mellow jazzy sound of the neck pickup. Kick the gain up and this guitar roars too. It snarls agressively and gets a creamy dirty sound with the tone turned back, I am very pleased... There really is nothing to be displease with other than it needs to be tuned frequently if you use the Bigsby a lot. I was thinking of upgrading the tuners....other than that, What a guitar!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
everything looks fine....no issues...Fit and finish superb.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I don't really gig this guitar but I think it could stand up to some stage time. The back of the neck being painted might show some wear through first, but I think nice even wear on a guitar gives it personality, and this one certainly does have it without saying.

Didn't need it..

I've played now for 15 years, I currently own an American Tele, and a Japanese 72 reissue Tele Custom. I have owned a Gretsch, American Strat, Gibson Les Paul and this guitar is as nice or much nicer in comparison to the Gretsch and the Les Paul. If it were lost or stolen I'd have to say I would probaly have to replace it. It would be missed too much. I like the twangy sound which is why I have 2 tele's still. I bought this without playing it because I had read great reviews of this guitar telling of it's twanginess. They did not lie. A nice piece....

Best guitar for the price point. Semi-Hollow, bigsby tremolo, 2 silver bar humbuckers. The way they dont/do make em anymore... regular basic tuners. star frets. one f hole. etc. Looks like a knockout.

Sound : 10
suits an eclectic style prfectly. jazz, rock, billy beebop, space mushroom, trip, psych folk, humming world drone guitar... it does it all. i love her good variety. early rock when it was a music of the people. a people's guitar, very much so. indispensable new addition. currently my 4th guitar. will be the first guitar I go to to play at a practice, for some time.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
workin fine. might bring it to the store that originated this design, in my hometown, in my old hood, for a setup...

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
haven't had it long enough to know. seems allright.

These guys have fixed my other guitars for very reasonable prices. it's a real mom and pop operation and they're very accomodating, pleasant, interesting people.

Overall Rating : 10
Point of comparison is to my japan-made '69 tele thinline reissue, and to a gibson es135. I also have a jazzmaster. This guitar compares favorably to all of the above. It has a very full, wide tone, a good range from the bridge to the neck pickup to get the variety of sounds I like. Some very clear tones, almost rhodes-like through a pignose, emerge from the neck pickup. It dirties up very, very nicely. A must-own guitar. I want more from these guys.

2005. Korean made. 22 frets. Chambered semi-hollow mahogany body. 1 vol, 1 tone 2 pickups (mini humbuckers). Rosewood fretboard. 12" radius, med. frets. Single cutaway Les Paul style shape. Glossy black top, glossy white back, huge white pearloid scratch plate. Silver sparkle details around pickups, input jack, toggle switch and sound hole. Bigsby licensed tailpiece/vibrato.

Sound : 9
Clean, it has a cool surf/ rockabilly woody semi-hollow tone. The pickups are very quiet and well balanced. Real Duane Eddy-like twang. Dirty, the tonal possibilities are pretty wide. The bridge is bright, but not over-bearing, almost a Tele-like tone. The middle position (both pickups) has a near P90 vibe..mellow with a nice attack. The neck pickup is mellow..not too dark, again well balanced. The vol and tone controls seem tight and taper gently enough for medium quality pots.
This guitar really shines when I add my Dyna comp compression with about 50% gain. I'd like to use this guitar on some alt. country style tunes, which is what I had hoped it could do.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action was fine out of the box. A few tweaks in intonation will be necessary, though. The frets were dressed and polished nicely. The fretboard and fancy star inlays are flawless. There are some minor finish flaws in the neck binding, but the over-all finish is outstanding. The Bigsby and roller bridge are decent quality. I think that the plastic details around the sound hole, pickups, etc. are cut a bit sharp and may be prone to cracking if tightened too hard. The pearloid plastic tuner buttons may also be prone to breakage if not careful. The pots, switch, pickups and input jack (poor location..lower bout would have been a better choice) are all decent quality and feel solid. The neck is rather thin and the string spacing is narrow, more so than a Gibson or a Jazz box. If you have sausages for fingers, it might pose a challenge. I find it very comfy.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Aside from my concerns mentioned above, I'd not hesitate to use this guitar live. DiPinto has a solid contender in this medium market of guitars. I always use a back-up..a lesson you learn once!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Comes with a 3 year limited warranty. It's still too early for me to have to contact them.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing 33 years. I own a Les Paul Standard, 3 Strats and 2 Teles at the moment. I wanted something unique and eclectec with an individual sound of its own. This "shabby chic" DiPinto certainly fits the bill. It's a looker with tons of vibe. I compared this to the Danelectro '56 Pro and the new Reverend Flatroc (both of which I still may end up with someday!)

The Belvedere Deluxe is a Korean made guitar with 22 frets on a Les Paul like semi-hollowbody (w/f hole). One volume, one tone and three way toggle switch control two mini humbuckers. I don't know what brand of pick-ups they are, but they sound like I want.
The body is mahogany with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard that features "mother of pearl" star shaped fret markers. The tuners are closed geared with "pearl" button machines. The bridge on this Belvedere Deluxe is a Tune-O-Matic with a D shaped tailpiece. (This is the ONLY Belvedere Deluxe I have seen WITHOUT a trem, for me that's a GREAT thing.)
The finish is a REALLY thick blue metallic flake. With a HUGE and customizable through DiPinto's website, pearloid pickgaurd. The neck is a medium not too thick, but no so thin your hands have no where to go. I got this of Ebay so, no accessories come with it.

Sound : 9
I like the way this twangs! If offers the full roar of buckers, but it can get real thin, too. I am usally looking for a guitar to do one or two things really well and it gives me the twangy-ness of say a Dano's lipstick pickup, but it can get down and dirty like an SG/Les Paul or Tele Custom. The sound is very full lots of low end warmth and searing highs. I've put it through the wringer as far volume & tone combos and I can't get it sound bad. I use it with a Peavey Delta Blues and an Aria Vocal 60 Head into AllenHouston 1x15 cab both are tube powered and are just right for this guitar. The pickups aren't noisy at all they must be heavily shielded as for the rest of the wiring my only guess is it won't feed back beacuse the finish is so thick! My only complaint about the sound is that for it being a semi hollow it really doesn't sustain and ring out very long, but that doesn't really bother too much. It sounds like I wanted and that's all I can ask of it!

Here's my setup:

Rocktron Nitro boost > Monsterpiece Fuzz > DanO BLT Slap Echo> DOD Stereo Turbo Chorus > ART A/B/Y switch box > Delta Blues Amp & Aria Vocal 60 w/1x15 ext cab.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Everything is well built! As I said I purchased this off Ebay, but from a guitar store in Wisconsin. I don't know if they set it up, but all I've done is tune it and I'm very happy with it! The bridge is perfect for me as well as the action. I am very power over technique kind of player and the action is great. Not low and not high just where I like it! I love the THICKLY done finish, it gives the guitar sort of a hand made vibe while giving a very retro, but unique look. The nut is bone and everything fits and serves it's purpose nothing crazy about this thing. Well, maybe the finish, but it looks sooooo DAMN cool!

Reliability/Durability : 9
Well, I've only had it for about 2 days, but I bought this based on a friends recomendation and he's toured/used them quite extensively. (He has 2 Belvederes.) He plays just as hard as I do and they've stood up to him. I have no doubt DiPinto's are in it to win it! All the craftsmanship is solid and nothing about this guitar feels just slapped toghether. I always have a back-up NO MATTER WHAT!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with the compnay about warranty, but their website is very helpful. When I was looking for guitars they seemed very eager to answer any email ???s I had. The guitar was NewOldStock, never been played, but as it's from 2003 I belive the warranty is gone.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about 9 years now and I was originally a bass player. My only other guitar is Fender Deluxe Powerhouse Strat which I've had since Fender brought them out. I am very loyal to my instruments even the ones I don't like! If they've never let me down then I can't get mad at them. The Belvedere is a dream and I would get another if it were stolen and after a former bandmate lost a guitar, I won't let my instruments out of sight so losing it won't happen. The great thing about DiPinto's is that they're so unique if someone stole you shoould be able to track it down, at least where I live. Even though I said I am not a fan tremolo I will probably buy another with a Bigsby, but I'll never find one for the price I got!

Semi hollow mahogany body with two mini humbuckers, white pearloid pickgaurd, 22 frets, star inlays, bigsby tremelo, volume and tone controls. I think thats it.

Sound : 9
I play rock, along the lines of Smashing Pumpkins, Secret Machines, mixed with Death Cab and Copeland. I'm playing through an Orange Rockerverb 50, no effects.
It's relatively quiet, the sound is kinda a mix between single coils and humbuckers, twangy but not too thin. The bridge pickup sounds fatter than a strat, but with the same twang as a tele, the bridge is just absolutely gorgeous. Deep, warm, amazing. This guitar can pull blues and jazz, but is also well suited for any kind of rock as long as you're not looking for the metalhead mid-scooped kinda sound (judging by this guitars looks, i doubt any metal heads would be interested).
The only problem I have is that not many companies make mini humbucker replacements, but I'm satisfied with the sound enough that I'm not going to have a fit over it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Dipinto is a small company, so they do a pretty good job setting up all of their guitars before shipping them. The action is low with absolutely NO buzzing. Intonation is close to perfect.
The look of this guitar is the reason I bought it. It's black and white with a White pearloid pickgaurd and a sparkle headstock as well as sparkle pickup frames. BEAUTIFUL. If you haven't seen this guitar, do to Dipinto's website and check it out. It looks like some of the oldschool plastic guitars from back in the day, but it has a mahogany body, so there's no comparison of which is better.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is built extremely well. The tuners are solid and most importantly, the PICKUP SELECTOR and knobs are very solid. I do a lot of pickup switching during songs, and tone adjusting, so having a switch that pops and knobs that crackle is out of the question for me. The bigsby tremelo bridge is... well... it's bigsby, so it weighs about 100 pounds of solid metal, no quality issues here either.

Customer Support : 10
I've talked with them a few times about custom ordering a pickgaurd, and they're pretty easy to get into contact with, other than that I have no experience with them.
If I remember correctly, the guitar came with a one year warranty.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about 4 years. I also own a Mexican Tele, Les Paul, and Schecter C-4. If stolen, I would buy a new one, but would consider asking to have a custom one built with full sized humbuckers, if that wasn't possible then I'd just get the same one again, definitely.
Great guitar, well built, good tone, BEAUTIFUL looks, not picky about what amps you play it through (i play an orange but have a crate backup, and it sounds great through both).
If you want something new, something cooler than a strat or telecaster, or les paul, then get this guitar.
