This is a 2002 year I believe...it has 4 single coils and 2 knobs...1 for Volume and 1 for tone. this alone is a great feature for me as I am a Tele player and hate anymore than 2 knobs...it has 4 rocker switches that controll the pups. It is a cool Green burst witha pearloid pickguard and matching headstock. Fit and finish are excellent as all of the DiPinto guitars..I have 4 other ones besides this new one. It has a cool tremolo arm like a Jaguar that actually works and sounds very mellow and not a jerky sound at all.

Here's where the Galaxie does it's thing. With 4 single coils you can get any sound/tone that ya could ever want. Strat, Tele, Les Paul, SG...it's all in there. It has a great jazz/blues tone and that's what I'm after. I'm playing it thru Gibby GA series amps and it is very quiet and soulfull. Full rich sound and a real bite on just the bridge pup without being too icepicky. The combinations are endless and I am still finding new ones that I love.

Fit and finish are great and the setup was perfect. Intonation was right on and didn't need any adjustment at all.

I'll definately gig with this guitar cause it is sooo versatile. I will use mainly a Tele cause I am a Tele player but for certain Jazzy tunes...this will get the use it deserves. Everything is solid and I have no negative issues at all.

Cris and Sophie run a tight ship and if support is ever needed, a simple phone call is all that's required. Chris is a player too and a very competent repair guy. His shop is really cool with many vintage guitars and amps in stock...The store has a very homey feeling and he and Sophie encourage you to try different guitars and amps. He stands behind everything he sells and his word is good enough for me.

I've been playing for over 40 years and do blues in 3 different bands. I woyuld replace the guitar if I could but I think that this may be the last 4 rocker version available.
I have 5 DiPinto's and love them all. They look great and play as good as they look. I get comments about the guitars at all my gigs....

This is a fire engine red semi Jaguar body guitar with a gold sparkle pickguard and 4 (that's right 4) Bill Lawerence single coil pickups. It's made in Korea with a poplar body, a 25 1/4 inch scale bolt on maple neck, 22 frets, rosewood fingerboard, star inlay markers, 4 on/off buttons for the pickups, 1 volume and 2 tone pots, enclosed pearl button tuners and stop tail bridge.
If you like the funky 60's sytle guitars then this is your baby! This has got to be the coolest looking guitar around.

When I saw this guitar I just couldn't believe that it would sound as cool as it looked but I was wrong! The 4 pickup configuration offers amazingly versatile sound. Using the on/off buttons and tone controls you get everything from full-on twang to a big fat tone with a little raunch thrown. I love it! Right now I'm just running it through a Rivera Thirty-Twelve with no effects. It will not give you full throttle distortion without some help.
I haven't had it long enough to figure out the myriad combinations of sound & tone but will enjoy working at it.

The action's a bit high, but that's easily fixed. Not the fastest neck in the world, but then again I'm not a shred master anyway. There's a tiny bit of glue showing at the neck joint, but only if you look hard. The finish is fine.

So far, so good. It's a solid guitar, nice weight not quite as heavy as my Strat. The tuners feel good, not cheesy. The strap buttons are a bit on the small side and if I were gigging I'd definitely replace them with larger buttons or straplocks. I have no problems with durability because I'm a basement player and will not take this on the road any time in the near future but wish I could so I could show it off.

I haven't needed any repairs, but did email DiPinto with questions on a gig bag and pickup configuration. I received an email back from Chris DiPinto in a couple of days and he answered my questions nicely. I have to think that they will be responsive in other areas too.

I've been playing on and off for the past 20+ years, but had a big layoff after my kids were born and have been back into it for the past couple of years. I am more of a rhythm guitarist, not a lead machine. I would recommend this guitar to anyone who is looking for a funky, stylish and versatile sounding guitar. I also have a Korean Hamer Standard and mid-80s Japanese Strat, both with Seymour Duncans installed.
If it were lost or stolen I would be TOTALLY bummed out because they don't make this color combo anymore - but would call up Chris and order a new one right away! In fact I am saving up to get a Mach IV (dual humbucker Mosrite Ventures looking model played by Jack White) when I can.
