Featues already mentioned here by others. It's the Black Beauty model, 2 humbuckers, gold hardware...took off the pickguard (looks better now (to me) I recommend changing the plastic nut to a bone one to keep it in tune better. Tuning pegs work fine and stay in tune well.
I don't see much difference from a real Les Paul.
I'm not spending +$2000 for a real Les Paul!

Sound : 9
Like mentioned hear already, the pickups are a little bass heavy (muddy) but to me in a good way, lots of thick mid overtones, smooth highs. I'm keeping the stock pickups in there...medium output...nice.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Was fine to start, but I set it up how I like it (intonation, neck bow, action, etc...frets were smoothed at the ends well. Feels good.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I've had it for 5 years, no problems.

I can't see spending thousands on a real Gibson, this is just as good IMO. In fact, I like it better than some Gibson Les Paul's I've played.
If I was Gibson, Dillion would be pissing me off.
I've played it through a 1971 Marshall Super Lead, Carvin Legacy, 5150, PODxt...

Best Les Paul clone out there.

How Gibson can charge almost 4x as much for basically the same guitar, I'll never understand.

standard les paul set up. Looks very nice. Made in Korea. 2 tones 2 volumes. make of passive humbuckers unknown. neck is maple, mahogany body. Black beauty finish with binding on body, neck and head, very nice. Set neck, (but not thru body). A beautiful guitar.

Sound : 8
don't know what kind of humbuckers but they sound alright. Sound is maybe somewhat muddy, but with my effects processor KorgAx1000g I can dial in cabinets with more presence and high end. I can get really great sounds, typical 70's rock from crunch to saturated distortions.
One of the problems I have had with this guitar was that the wiring to the potmeters were incorrect. On both volume and tone controls 2 wires were reversed, resulting in more muddy sounds and in central position both volume controls functioned as master volume for both pick ups at same time !. I changed the wiring and everything is working now as it should. Wonder though if others have had same problems or if I am the exception.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
Action only needed minor adjustment (5 seconds to get rid of a slight buzz). Protective [plastic on humbuckers hard to remove. I just left a small piece on b/o i don't want to damage the brass finish. binding is not perfect but close. Bridge needed quite a bit of work for proper intonation. The only way I could get it right was by changing some of the sadles around and turning the bridge (adjustment screws are now facing the back, which i prefer anyway)intonation is now perfect. Neck did not need any adjustments. rating of 6 is for set-up the way it came. Rating after corrections is 8 b/o "tape" left behind marking the finish, and some small inperfections to the binding (which is not big deal to me)

Reliability/Durability : 8
Seems reliable for playing. I expect brass hardware finish to wear off eventually which i can see starting on humbucker finish b/o the tape. The instrument itself I expect to be dependable however.

Customer Support : 8
I am not sure yet. I am planning to write dillion just to let them know about the wiring of the electronics and to ask how to remove the tape properly without further damaging the brass finish.
I e-mailed the once before when i was considering buying this guitar and got fast response back.

Overall Rating : 8
Been playing for 18 yrs off and on. I used to have a fender american strat only with which i am very pleased, but also wanted the (humbucker) les paul sounds. This guitar gives me the sounds i was looking for. It plays very well and feels comfortable. it si worth the money i paid for. I did not want to pay a premium for a real
Gibson and am glad I didn't. If I had to replace it I would also consider a Nelsonic or Agile. They would be somewhat cheaper yet and might be comparable. However I am happy with this guitar and have no desire to trade it at this time. I love the sounds and playabilty. I might upgrade some of the electronics later on for coil splitting options.

Ok,
This is my second Dillion. This Time I got the DLP 625, it is a kind of Black Beauty/standard hybrid.Solid Alder body, gold hardware, and once again the neck feels amazing. The pickups reek of vintage PAF, especially through my 1975 super lead 4 input. The 5 ply binding makes this guitar very authentic and classy( not cheap looking). As far as details, it is virtualy everything you need in a great Les Paul but, at avery realistic price(Around 700 smackers). Its built in Korea.(Not like other fine Korean guitars though)

Rock and Roll,Tracii
