Im not sure of the year. It is #2 of 4 made that year.It was made in Korea. It has 24 frets and is made of acrylic. There is one volume and one tone control. The pickup switch is a three way rotary knob. It has two passive humbuckers. Im not sure of the make. Stock for all Dillion guitars I suppose. They sound pretty good. The body is clear acrylic and man is it heavy, 15 lbs. The body shape is alot like a Paul Reed Smith.Stop tailpiece/ tuneamatic bridge. Tuners are also stock. The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard. It comes with an alan wrench for truss rod adjustments.

I play hard rock so this guitar is great for that. Tons of sustaine!Im playing it through a 100 watt Marshall half stack and a Fender Blues Deville. I bi-amp.Its sensitive to play. A lighter touch is better. The tone is thick as a brick. Very snappy sound. But not bright ie humbuckers. This is a rock guitar! I don't think anyone is going to play jass on it.Im very happy with the sound and the look.

The set up is o.k. Seems a little tight when bending strings. Maybe neck relief would help, Im not a tech Im a rocker. Pickup were set about where I would have set them to. They were aligned right over the pole pieces. Workmanship was very good for a Korean make.

I think this guitar will last a life time as long as it doesn't hit the floor! Being acrylic the finish should stay in good shape as If you wear your belt buckel off to one side. Strap buttons seem solid but I have heard that on acrylic guitars you don't want to remove screws because they may not want to hold. Im not sure and don't want to find out. It seems like a very dependable guitar. As far as the question about using it at a gig without a backup. I never play a gig without a backup. Strings do break you know.

I did E-mail the company about details on the guitar but didn't get to many specifics. The warranty is for two years under normal use.

I've been playing professionaly for 25 years. At the moment I own about 10 guitars. If it were stolen I'd be madder than hell but yes. I love the way this guitar looks ,very visual. The only thing I would change is the area where my forearm rests the body cut out is to blunt. A contour would be very welcome. I always wanted a Dan Armstrong but they cost way too much. This guitar was alot more affordable. Im pleased with the sound and the look. What more could you want.
