Sounds great. I used to have an American Series Strat which was stolen. This sounds at least as good. It has hum like any strat. punchy and poppy sounding.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Action too low; almost all frets buzzed; easy enough to fix; neck and frets were really well finished; pickups were set too low. I had to pull them out and cut the springs to get them close enough to the strings. The nut was wasn't finished - had plastic shavings everywhere and it was really hard to tune. I replaced the nut with a graphtech nut and it was fantastic after that. Some hardware a little on the cheap side.

I've had quite a few guitars. This sounds and plays as well or better than any American strat I've played or owned. Great deal for the price.
