It's the same guitar as the Carl Carlton, but it has an extra acoustic piezzo system with a seperate EQ. You can blend the electric PU's with the acoustic piezzo for mixed sounds. It also feautures parlor inlays on the fretboard (which the CC doesn't have)

Sound : 10
The sound is absolutely amazing: very rich and full. I use the John Platania with a Peavey Delta Blues and a AER Compact 60. My setup is the JP into a boss AB switch, one output goes to a Z Vex Super Hard on, T-Rex Dr Swamp, T rex Replica and a Fulltone Supa Trem into the te Delta Blues, the other output goes dry in the Aer Compact 60. The flexibilty is amazing, if you want acoustic sounds, just use the piezzo system into the AER. Very convincing acoustic guitar sound. For electric sounds I use all my (I must say...) top of the bill pedals. It sounds very, very good. I also play on a Fender Tele USA with John Suhr pickups which is a wonderful Tele but I'm always wondered how 'thin' the Tele sounds in comparison with the JP.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Excellent, the action was amazing! I work in a musicstore and when I compared the Dusenberg with the state some Gibsons come in the shop... I makes you wonder...

Reliability/Durability : 8
I had a problem with my pickup switch, the little top of the switch fell off... I glued it back on, and since then I never had any problems.

Customer Support : 9
The distributor in Belgian is a rather new company but the support is excellent.

Overall Rating : 10
I play for almost 10 years now. I've always been a single coil man. Strat's and Tele's were my thing. I play in a singer songwriterlike band and it's amazing how better my guitarparts sounds with the duesenberg. We use much piano in our songs and with a Strat or a Tele, the guitarparts were often too thin. Now with the Duesenberg I have a CLEAN wall of sound, and I don't need to use distortions everytime like so many guitarplayers feel obligated to if they need a strong guitar in a song. My favourite sound is put the Z Vex Super Hard half way and roll off the volume of the neck PU. The results is a awesome clean, warm, full and transparent sound. If you turn the volume of the neck PU up, you'll get a creamy slight overdrive sound which makes you pants fall off, amazing!!!
