Mine is a 2002 model made in china I think, and has a solid mahogany top. Every feature is like the ones on the much expensive gibson les paul custom models. The only difference in shape is the lower horn that has the shape of the nighthawk one, you know, not rounded but pointy (that gives it a radical rock attitude!); tuners are very good and give their best if you use 010 strings.

It has a fantastic rock sound and is very enjoyable on blues and jazzy tunes too! i use it on a marshall dsl head and it screams loud, never muddy or not focused; generally I don't use so many effects so I don't know if the tone of the guitar can be losed in the mix.
the pickups are very good in sound power and focus; typical les paul sound. The only problem I had was some feedback at high volumes so I repotted both pickups and know it's all OK!

Neck is painted black so I don't know the kind of wood used, but the fingerboard is of rosewood with white square inlays and there are 22 standard frets. The colour is black (of course) and there is a white binding all over the body neck and headstock. BEAUTIFUL !!!
Action can be set very low without buzz problems.

I'm currently using this guitar live , in a band that plays a lot of different musical styles...obviously I have always a backup but not for the fact that this guitar is not reliable, but because of possible string breakage!

Made in China, 2002, 22 nice frets on the neck, rosewood keyboard, solid top (I believe), classic LP style pick-ups and controls, everything is perfect replica of the Les Paul Custom ...
Pearl inlays on neck and headstock...
PAF copy pick-up w/ no brand (still I didn't look inside the guitar, maybe soon...), gold, like all the mechanics, coverage...
EVERYTHING IS THE SAME LIKE THE REAL THING (even better if you read hte price above...)...Exept...Bolt-on neck...But, believe me...Playing you wouldn't notice any difference...
And, "she" looks GREAT!!!

Do you remember? The old story...Les Paul or Strato?
If you like a Les Paul, this babe will rock you...
I play mainly rock, blues, britpop...This is my favourite guitar...Throught my Vox practice 15w amp she makes me cry...It's wonderful, crisp, full mediums, warm, but not exessively hot...During jams since I play this "baby" I've always received compliments for my sound...She's my "pride and joy".
When you play this baby, you can fill her vibes under your fingers:DDD
She has a great sustain, that, with my SD-1 mod for SD-808, gives great "crunch"...

the best stock action i've ever tried...WWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOWWWWW...The neck in superb, fast, flat...
Perfect frets, perfect everything!!!
I've done just some minor corrections in tune on the bridge, but...who cares...
It's really heavy and solid, and she'll make your shoulder cry, but...this is the Les Paul...
Thi finish isn't so "gloss" like the real Les Paul...
But fot the action and superbe neck, she still graduated for 10...

I absolutely will use this baby for live, when i'll do...For the look and for the solid feeling that she gives me...
The hardware gold finish looks better and more lasting in time than Epi's LP

Ok...i'm almost a newbie...3 years of playing, not so much...
But I can understand what i'm buying...
And this is my opinion...BUY IT...If you find she under $/Euro 300...Take it...Is a steal!!!Is The steal...Leave home Epiphone...For 300 bucks what can give you Epiphone of COMPARABLE?Nothing...a used LP 100 or Studio?
I've payed 220 bucks for a perfect replica of a Custom...
No one will never could stole me this baby, I take care of her like a baby:DDD
I still can't believe she's real...It's so great...
The best money I've ever gived...
The best thing I've ever had...
Believe me...

LV-480 is a very good clone of Gibson Les Paul Flame Top.
Sunburst finiture is very nice and pickups are Paf type.
Neck is too soft,so tune is a bit unstable, but with a regolation of rod and a good set of strings is ok.
Machine head are not perfect.
Sound

Sound is grass and warm like a Gibson.
This Guitar is the best Les Paul imitation in commerce at now.
Very very very nice!

Setup is personal and not standard, without exception!
I suggest to change pick-ups with Seymour Duncan '59.

This is the 2001 model from Recanati Italy. It has an ashwood top, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard with large octave markers, and a cool pearl inlay in the headstock. Really nice detail around the body and headstock. It has gold plated hardware throughout which makes it look very expensive. Humbucker PAF type Pickups and all the standard Gibson Les Paul knobs and switches. This one has an awesome sunburst finish but I think they are available in solid colors as well. Tune-o-matic bridge with a stop tailpiece, all gold plated. Super high gloss finish.

Sound is as I expected it to sound, just like a Les Paul. Warm tomes for the blues stuff and rich/full sound for the rock 'n roll. no complaints here.

Guitar has fantastic feel in the action. Low setup, really a dream to play. It came setup nicely with #10 strings. I chage them to #9 because I like them real slinky. The woodgrain coming through the finish is really nice.

I have only had the guitar for 3 months, but it seems to be extremely well made. The parts are not cheap: tuners, bridge, switches, knobs, everything feels really solid. This is much better quality than a lot of the Les Paul copies I have seen.

My opinion this is the best Les Paul copy on the market for the money. A Gibson Les Paul is just too expensive, the Epiphone is nice but it is also too expensive, and their are a bunch of $299 copies from Taiwan that are just too crappy, these guys have hit the mark with the right combination of price/quality.
