I dont know too much about this guitar it has 24XJ frets, theres 1 volume knob, 1 tone knob, and a 3-way selector switch. i like the double humbuckers, as far as i know they are stock LTD pickups. dont know too much about the guitar since i really cant find any info on them.

I play mostly Hardcore Metal, like As I Lay Dying and All That Remains, i personally like the sound of the guitar although the pickups do give a little feedback if you dont do anything on the guitar so i have to turn the volume knob down all the way, it kinda has the heavy sound that im actually looking for, After about a year i have actually been thinking about changing the pickups because the sound is getting a bit dull, ill probably put like some EMGs in it

when i got the guitar the action was all jacked up, the pickups were down way too low, but other than that the basic setup was good after a few adjustments, the only flaw i have ever had with this guitar was the low E tuner was sticking so i took it apart and took the little white bushing next to the knob

ive been playing for like 6 years now, i had a B.C. rich warlock before this guitar and that was a piece of crap it kept falling apart on me after 2 months, this is definitely a great deal, i'm not a beginner and it works for me excellently with a few minor adjustments. if this guitar was stolen or lost i would try my hardest to try and find another, they are really hard to find. i actually compared it to a cheaper schecter which was $300 and i thought hat they sounded pretty close. i wish it had a floyd rose tremolo and some EMGs, thats about it, so pretty much this is a great guitar for the price that i payed

Im not sure on the year this was made, i got it used at a pawn shop in great condition, with the expection sticker on it and plastic crap still there. its got 24 frets, volume and tone and a 3 way selector. Im not sure of the pickups. Im not to fond of the tremolo, it kinda blows and gets out of tune to esily since there no locking plates.

I play METALLICA! I cant really complain about the sound to much cause this is the best i could do at the time but its not tha bad, its sound nice and crisp clean, and pretty warm with the distortion.

I play mostly AC/DC, Metallica, and the likes. This guitar gives me these sounds with a few exceptions. My setup generally; ESP M-55 > MT-2 > CH-5 > Marshall AVT 20. P-ups are crap, replaced with EMG 81, noticed a difference right away. The new p-ups push the amp for a whole new attitude. Basic guitar with a Moderate sound. For the price this guitar sounds Great!!

The factory setup seemed to be good. Bridge was a tad misaligned, the Output jack was loose and Tuners needed a little tightening. Finish is beautiful. Saddles (suck).

Very reliable. May require replacement tuners eventually, will need the Saddles cleaned and lubed very soon, the new p-ups provide tonal stability, strap buttons are sturdy, I would use this live.

Never dealt with the company, however there is no email only a phone number provided. Would like to know why they made this Model. Warranty (?????) Mars was extremely unhelpful.

I am a moderate beginner, that is I play mostly for entertainment. If stolen I would definitely purchase an ESP M-102 or EC series. It's simple to play, the neck is fast, priced accordingly. I also have a Epiphone Les-Paul Stnd., and the M-55 can hang!

This guitar has 24 frets, so you really have much more to work with. The only problems are the pickups and cut-away. The pick-ups are cheap, they're just a bit better than a Squier. The cut-away is too small, the side of my palm hits the cut-away when i'm playing the 22-24th frets. i wish it were more like Ibanez cut-aways. It has 1 volume, and 1 tone. It's a 3-way switch. the neck is bolted on. it has an old-school tremolo bridge, which is ok. The thing i love about this guitar is the neck. It is so playable when i'm doing solos. pentatonics are a sinch!

The sound of this guitar is for begginers. it's just a bit better than fender. Its an ok rock sound. I'm using a Crate GFX212T. I'm also running a DOD Extreme Distortion. I think that it's got a full sound. a little rich also. The guitar has no variety to the sounds it can make. I dont like the pickups, i'm gonna change them to a pair of EMG-HZ humbuckers.

The guitar was set-up perfectly at the factory. There were no problems with the way it was assembled. The pickups were too low, so i adjusted them to the same height as the fretboard. everything was aligned. No flaws what-so-ever. but it did have a noisy pickup selector.

This can withstand live playing, handsdown. The hardware WILL last. i have adjusted to bridge tension to fit my medium E,A,D strings and my reg G,B,E strings. its still working fine. the strap buttons are very loose, i could easily pull them out, so i put some glue inside the holes so they stay.i would use it on a gig without backup, i've done it twice.

i'm quite satisfied with this guitar for now. I've been playing for a year and 4 months. i dont suck, i can play the Master of Puppets solo, and a couple more.
if it were stolen or lost i would probably get me an ESP F-200. or that $400 ibanez, with the transparent coating. i love the neck, it's so easy to play on! i wish the neck were on all the guitars ever made! i just picked this guitar just because, i was stupid, thankfully i was lucky to get this one. i wish it had a pair of EMg pickups, and Floyd Rose Double Locking Tremolo, and a BIGGER cut-away.

I just bought from Mars about ayear ago. Moderate playing with weekly care-fore, as far as keeping in tune and cleaning. But, thats what most guitars require. It's an ok sturdy structure, but pickups and switch are cheap. The other hardware are better than a strat copy or so forth. The finish and fret board seem to be fine. The only problem is the pickups it came with. I am trying to replace them now. This might be a problem in the future for only a one year old well cared for guitar.

So far, I find it easy to move about the fret board with the design. Finish is in one color that I know of, fits well for someone who has been playing for some time. I don't consider this a starter's guitar, because a person normally starts out at the cheap price/quality end. This is more in the middle. Most of the best guitars I've had were middle range quality and price.

Don't expect to find much support. Mars has closed, it was the main vendor for this model. Mars had terrible customer support, had foolish people working in their stores and now are paying for it. They claim that there were lease problems, but we all know why. Just three weeks ago I was in begging to buy strings and waited by myself at the checkout lane for 30 minutes. I finally gave up, and looks like every Mars store did now!

Would have been better had Mars done more to help me. I was a frequent and paid in allot of money to Mars. Least they could have done was respect me and take my money.

I play mostly rock, with most of my influence from Steve Vai. This was my first guitar, and I really like it. I use a Crate amp and a Zoom 505 effects pedal. The sounds cover a wide range- it has smooth clean tones and sharp distortion, though I'm going to change the pickups...the distortion doesn't have enough bite.

Well made, but the tremolo and bridge tend to cause the strings to go out of tune VERY easily. Also, the nut on the input jack for the cord comes loose all the time. The pickups are put in well, not loose.

This guitar will LAST. It is very durable, unless you really, really try to damage it. There are a bunch of scratches in my finish, but its because I was careless and let the 30 bracelets I had on scratch it. (Don't be an idiot like me.) The strap buttons are solid, and its a very dependable guitar.

I've been playing over a year, and this guitar is my baby. I love how versatile it is for sound (the range from clean to distorted). My least favorite feature would have to be the pickups, but overall I think this is a great guitar.

Mine is probably a few years old, I'm not sure because I got it used. Made in Korea. 24 jumbo frets. Master volume, master tone and 3-way toggle. Two passive humbuckers (some stock ones ESP threw in). The body is basswood, the neck is a maple bolt-on. It's a strat style guitar (plus pointy headstock), I believe it's modeled after Kirk Hammet's. It has a vintage strat-style tremolo. That's about it. Nothing special, but nothing really missing, either. Sufficient as far as features go.

I play power pop, punk, emo and some lighter alt rock, and this guitar suits all those styles well. I haven't really found any sound that it can't do (maybe country - no twang). I'm using it with a Crate VC30, a Boss Turbo Distortion and an Electro-Harmonix Small Stone. It sounds good through all of these and isn't very noisy. Both the clean tones and the distorted tones are very good. However, I wish the pickups had more bite. The rating I give here is adjusted for its price, and for its price, it sounds excellent.

I don't know how good the factory set-up was, I got it used. Everything was pretty solid, the tuners are quite good and withstand all sorts of string-bending. The only problem I noticed was that the tremolo bridge spontaneously got screwed up and made it impossible to tune the guitar. The only solution I found for that was tighten all the screws in the bridge, turning it into a hard-tail (this was fine by me because I never used the tremolo anyway).

This guitar will survive live playing, the hardware is all durable and seems to have a long life ahead of it. The finish is good, but picks up fingerprints quite easily. The strap buttons are very nice, but I would still use straplocks. As for dependablility, it crapped out on me once (one of the wires in the output jack broke for no apparent reason, probably just a shitty soldering job), but that was easily remedied, and that's really the only time I have questioned its dependability.

I've only been playing for a year, I also own a Carvin LB70 bass and some trashy old classical acoustic. If it were stolen or lost, I would just buy a higher-end model from the same series. I love the tonality and versatilty of this guitar. When I went and tested out guitars before buying this, it easily blew away everything else in its price range. My friend has an Epiphone Les Paul that cost more than twice as much as this, and mine sounds better and is far better set up.

The style of music I play is heavy metal/death metal somethin like Metallica and Rammstein. This is not a guitar for that kind of music. The sound is not for me. This guitar makes sounds for pop music which I dont like at all.

The bridge was loose and looked like it was just gonna fly out becuz it wasn't secure. I need to change the bridge for one thing becuz its loose and becuz I've used the whammy bar to much.....I guess I just played with the bar to at least give a change to the dull sound.

This is actually my first guitar and right now it kinda sounds like shit. Once I fix it up with EMG 81's and an original floyd rose then I think it should sound great, but the current electronics suck in my opinion. I heard and played many guitars, and right now this just doesn't cut it!

I play in the Harsh realm of metal and rock. It does the deed. I play this baby through a Zoom 505 pedal and a Fender Champion 110 amp. This baby can play nice nice or growl like a Mo'Fo if needed. The only thing is, it sounds like my explorer and now i just gotta get some new passive pickups, great sound for the price.

My first guitar was a Karera Stratocrapper, then a ESP EX-250 (2000 model) and now i sold the karera and this is my New Backup Model and its great, i am a ESP Guy for life. 24 frets and fast neck action is all i needed and this exclusive model gave it to me, u buy this and u'll be a happy man or gal.
