It has a 3-way switch, a volume and a tone-poti. The tone-poti adittionaly is a switch (Push-push), which changes the way the humbuckers are adressed so that only one coil is active. It actually sounds quite close to a real single-coil.
Both, neck and body are bordered by white bindings, making it look noble. When i first saw the guitar on photos, i was afraid that could look rediculous - but it doesn't, it's still a real metal-axe, yet a very beautiful one.
It was build in Japan in 2006.
Included was a very well build case.
The reason i bought this guitar for is, that it has all the features it has. Absolutely great!
Sound

I play a lot of different styles of metal and this guitar is perfect for it. BUT: that's by far not all this instrument can do. Unlike all guitars equipped with emg's, it also does great clean tones, esp. over the SH-1n in the neck position. The "singlecoilish" mode brings a lot additional sound, making this instrument a true allrounder. Yesterday a jazz-musician played it and he was enthusiastic as well.
The Sound is definetly rich and full, with a lot of punch in the lows and very well defined highs. i love it!

The whole constrution is very well done. The neck is a masterpiece. As it has an ebony-fingerboard it reacts strongly to wheatherchanges i wasn't disappointed as the fret placement wasn't perfect when it reached me after a long transport in winter. Easy to adjust.
The finish looks marvelous. Dark and glossy, the wood slightly shinig through.

This guitar is rocksolid. I never play live without a backup-guitar but i think i will never need it.

I've been playing for about 12 years now and although i'm not a collector some equiptment came along over the years. My other electric guitars are a jackson professional and '79 strat. The strat doesn't compare but the esp definetly does everything the jackson does but better.
Even though this instrument isn't cheap it is worth every cent in my opinion. I would definetly buy it again.
