My Eclipse is a 1997 USA Custom shop. This guitar is number 11/100. Solid black paint with 2 EMG humbuckers. It has a Mahogony body with a bolt on maple neck with Ebony fretboard. Guitar has 24-frets with Ivory binding on neck ,and body. It is a Les Paul shaped axe.

Sound : 10
For straight forward progressive shred metal this guitar is incredible. I run mine thru a Mesa Boogie Tri-axis with a 2/100 power amp. Two matching Mesa cabs for speaker's . Lots of highs ,and low end in the tone. Great for straight forward shred for the most part.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Bought mine used at the AMP shop in L.A for $1600. Once the action was set this guitar really has played well ever since I purchased it. The craftsmanship is great this guitar it is like a piece of fine art.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I rehearse 6 to 8 hours a week on top of shows on the weekend. This guitar has never let me down. Hardware is of the highest quality. Finish seems to getting a little warn due to excessive playing. I have had it for almost two years never have needed neck adjustment. I am a low action guy so that is saying a lot. It has never let me down ,but a gig you must always have back up axe's.

ESP will not service your guitars unless they are under warranty. If you own any of the older cool custom shop guitars you will have to go elsewhere. WHICH SUCKS! Speaking from experience with original Kamikazee that had been serviced three times in the past. No more of that too bad for us little guys. The fact that there is no longer a USA made ESP has forced me to go elsewhere for new axes. Too bad I really love this guitar.

Overall Rating : 10
ESP Kamikazee ,ESP Eclipse limited, Fender Strat, Music Man 7-string, Washburn JB-100, ETC. Too much to list. This guitar is one of the best I have ever played. If it where stolen it would have to be replaced. Hopefully that does not happen hard to replace that low serial number. If you like cool guitars ,and you see one of these for sale used buy it. They are great I wish I had another one.

ESP Eclipse Limiteed 64/100. 24 fret. Mahogony body. EMG 81/85. Beatiful non marked ebony fretboard. Floyd Rose trem. Deluxe Gotoh tuners. Originally had just a volume control but has had a tone buttom very successfuly added.

Sound : 10
I play mostly metal and some chilled progressive stuff. Thgis guitar is great for what I play. Through my Engl Powerball it is simply devastating. Best guitar ive ever played or heard and you dont want to stop playing, such a nice feel on this thing and some of the finest work in the world. No noise at all and plays like a dream. With EMG though I always have to have another guitar at hand for some other stuff because the pickups are not that versatile, but for heavy stuff it rocks. A definate 10. Only problem it weighs a ton, but im man enough to deal with it

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
As a said previous this thing is built excellent, nothing like i've played before including USA Gibsons, Fenders and Jacksons. The feel is just so perfect. No flaws. Great fret work, unlike the LTD I had. You can just feel how solid it is strtaight away.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I use it live and has never let me down. The hardware is firm and nothing rattles, unlike most guiatrs that you always feel they "could do with a setup" even if they have just had one. Very dependable.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them. never had to

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing ages now and gone through lots of gear. I put ESP guitars right up there with the best Suhr, Anderson, etc. Simply great work on these things. I have found the LTD ESP's to be absolute garbage though, they shouldn't even be held in the sam ebreath as these fine instruments, for what it does there is not much better, so a big thumbs up from me.

1997 ESP ECLIPSE LIMITED. This is the top of the eclipse line, and there were only 100 of these made. Black finish, bound single cutaway mahogany body, bolt-on 24 fret maple neck, bound ebony fretboard, BIG frets, 2 EMG 81 humbucking pickups, Floyd Rose locking tremolo, bound 3 on a side
headstock, black hardware, 1-11/16" nut, 24-3/4" scale.
Pickup selecter, Single Volume, Single Tone kob.
Les Paul style body...This guitar is damn heavy. Gotoh tuners.
Made in Esp's custom shop California facility.

Sound : 10
Basically this is what I envisioned a les paul specifically made to play metal to be like. The mahogany body combined with the EMG 81's makes this guitar scream. Super quiet and capable of super heavy distortion. EMG 81's can sound slightly brittle with certain kinds of wood, but such is not the case with guitar. I am a big fan of Mahagony and it certainly works with this guitar. Neck is perfect..light strings and low action but no buzzing. I own 2 les pauls, and this a great alternative..Sometimes I am in the mood to play a non-painted neck. The neck is super fast, much like a bolt on Jackson.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Bought it second hand from Elderly. They set the action a little high for my taste but that is not an ESP issue. The black paint job is super..deep and illustrious. Bridge is perfectly routed, super nice filed frets capped with a nice bounding..all around top notch construction.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is a tank. A real back breaker, but a super wide strap alleviates this. Finish is amazing..one of the nicest black finishes I have ever seen. 100% dependable guitar.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with.

Overall Rating : 10
A les paul shaped body is a risky endeavor. I've always looked at them as cheap Les Paul ripoffs. I think ESP managed to pull it off with this model, creating sort of a Speed Racer Les Paul. Overall, if you play metal, this Guitar is a killer axe.
