Made in Japan with only 150 made, mine is number 014. 24 frets. co designed by Aiji of Pierrot. 3 way toggle, 1 volume knob. seymour duncan single coil sized humbucker in neck, regular sized humbucker in the bridge. basically ESP's forest type body. comes with an original floyd rose tremolo and gotoh tuners. included a fatty hardshell case with uberlocks.

i'm running this thru a digitech rp3 and out a marshall vs265 combo. pickups sound great tho the neck pickup sounds a little soft. because there is no tone knob, the range is limited, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

the guitar was sent in perfect condition in a beast of a hardshell case. the bridge pickup was a little angled but plays fine. the finish is a gray matte finish. not glossy. the guitar had two very minor pinprick scratches on each side of the guitar, but Noriko gave me a discount and threw in some Pierrot/Dir en Grey picks. the action is great. i'm learning "art of life" by x japan right now and it plays that excellently.

I haven't used this guitar live yet. the hardware seems solid on this. the floyd rose is excellent, tho it did require a little spring tweaking. the finish is strange. it's really smooth. if you run your hand up and down it, you feel it in your toes. the strap buttons are pretty solid.

i've played for 6 years. this guitar will last me for a while. if it were stolen i'd most definitely buy another one, but only 150 were made. i have no regrets about buying this guitar. i compared it with hisashi's talbo and mana's guitar. but i like rarities, so i bought this guy for a relatively inexpensive price.

Edwards are made in Japan for the Japan domestic market OEM by ESP.
This particular guitar is a signature model for the Japanese rock band Pierrot's guitarist, Aiji.
24 Frets, Solid Top. 3-way selector switch, 1 volume knob
Pickups are Seymour Duncan SCR-1n for neck, and TB-5 for bridge. (both 'buckers, but the config is S-H)
Alder body, Maple/rosewood Neck. 25 1/2" scale bolt on neck with thin frets. The finish is in Matt black, I guess close the a satin finish.
The body style is a "Forest" type. (For those of you who aren't familar with the Japanese line of ESP's, it's pretty much an ESP LTD's "F" series shape. (F for Forest))
Floyd Bridge with locking nut, Gotoh tuners 3-a-side. It was a limited edition, only 150 made, comes with a certificate signed by Aiji, a very nicely made flight case with Aiji's logo on it, and some allen keys for the floyd and truss rod.
Good value. The guitar itself was simple, but it's great.

I play Japanese-rock, and the guitar gives a more slightly "metal" edge with the playing, but it suited it very well. The neck pickup works very well, but the bridge PU shines out. It's quite bright sound compared to the other guitar I have. The ceramic PU's are actually quite nice for clean sounds, but sometimes it clips and gives a little buzzing. (The same happens with my explorer on clean but that's okay, I don't pick hard.)

When I bought it in Japan, they had it set up for me there and then taking about 10 minutes so it was perfect. The action was great for a new guitar. The pickups were adjusted okay, but a little angled.. I'll see if I can fix this when I change strings. Apart from that I could not find any fault in the guitar, I guess they really make them good in Japan.

I haven't used it live yet, but I think it can withstand a little live playing. I plan to use this guitar quite often as it is the only guitar that I have with a floyd. (My others are tune-o-matics) Love doing the divebombs on them, something I haven't done for a long time since I sold my old guitar with licensed floyd. The finish seems weird as it's matt, it seems like it will stain when you've just played it, but then it disappears. The same goes when I try to wipe it down with guitar polish... well.. so far so good. The strap buttons are good and solid, but I always add a lokstrap to it. I always have backup nowadays during gigs, and I have yet to see how the floyd performs, but for band rehersals, so far so good.

There's a limited 1 year warranty. When I was there.. the neck warped and I took it back and they fixed it on the spot, no fuss. They even told me how to do it in case it happens again (I know theoretically but I haven't seen much of neck Warping in Australia) It might be harder now that I'm not in Japan... but we'll see what happens... I don't think much will happen to this guitar. (The neck warping was due to extreme weather change when I was in Japan.)

I have to say, I like playing this guitar better than my explorer, which means alot, because of the matt finish, the neck is much more smoother to play and there isn't any sticky feel to it, especially when you're sweating. I'd try to get it again if stolen but well.. there's only 150 of these babies.. (mine is labeled 061). I compared it to the Sugizo model Eclipses (if you're into J-rock you'd know who he is) and also against Dir en Grey's Kaoru's model. This kicked it when I finally manage to see it and the matt finish makes it all the more sexier. I'm due to get a custom Talbo so I'll see how that goes against this. Gosh, I wish I didn't have GAS. BTW, I liked the fact that the guys at the store automically dropped the price when I asked them how much it was.
