Features : 10
Made in Japan, I don't know what year exactly, by the dudes from ESP.
Has 22 jumbo frets (really easy to play), a one-piece smooth-as-a-baby's-ass maple neck and beautiful, shiny rosewood fretboard, with mother-of-pearl little circular inlays, and a block in the 12th fret with "ESP" engraved, just beautiful. The controls are 1 vol, 1 tone and 5-way selector. Strat body, but with some differences. The lower horn cut is extra-deep, allowing easier access to the upper frets (it almost fells weird, I'm not used to have so much freedom), there's no pickguard, the hell has the classic ESP cut (allowing even greater access), and it has a H-S-H pickup config. Oh, and the imput jack is on the side (thank God, I hate the traditional Strat jack). It has an Alder (I think) body, a beautiful pearly cobalt-blue finish, really makes you cry, it's so damn beautiful. has a 2-point vintage tremolo, nice trem action & little detuning. Came stock with nice Gotoh tuners. The neck is like a strat neck, only a teeny weeny thicker, just the way I like it. The nice people at Playtech (thanks Pedro!) gave me a gig bag and a Fender 2003 catalog that I asked tobuy, but wasn't 4 sale :-B
Anyway, it has all the features I like, and none that I dislike. So I give it a 10.

I run this babe through a VERY VERY VERY shitty 30-watt turd of an amp (I plan on buying a better one, don't worry). I play a lot of shit, from metal to rock to blues to whatever, and this guitar is wonderful, it is so goddamn versatile, it sounds like 4 or 5 diff guitars, really great. It's only noisy when I use the single, obviously. It sounds very deadly (but with character) in the bridge position. Mix it with the single and you have one of the most beautiful cleans you'll ever hear. the middle is the classic strat tone, really good. middle-neck is a warm full tone, great for cleans too. The neck has an awesome lead tone. Roll the tone back little and you have a delicious blues tone. Yup, I'm really impressed with the ESP pickups (I think this geetar has 2 LH-200 hums and a SS-100 in the middle). There's nothing I don't like about it, but I'm thinking of changing them to Duncans (59, cool rail and JB). I don't kow though, lemme get a decnt amp and see.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Yeah, the guitar was set-up preety good at the factory, but it came with .009s and I hate 'em, so I put 10's on and I'm happy :)
The pups are perfectly adjusted, but i think I'll have the bridge pup put closer to the strings. But it di'n't have any apparent flaws, it was preety perfect. My only gripe is the truss rod adjustment, you have to pop out the neck, why the fuck not put a little cover on the headstock and put it there?
But I love the axe, it's my baby. :-D

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I haven't played it live yet, I only have had it for a few days now, but i think it could withstand tranquilly my live playing, it's built like a bull (the construction is so f'n strong I couldn't take the srap pin's screw out to put my cliplock strap on), so yeah I could definetly depend on it. I would and will use it w/o a backup, since it's my only axe (I sold my other shity one to pay like 10% of this one).

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them, only with the importer here (btw, i'm brazilian, so a guitar like this is a miracle to find, and at this price, i'm really lucky:-B), I asked for a catalog once and they sent me for free, they were very very kind and nice.

Overall Rating : 10
I've benn playing so-so guitar (at least i think so) for about 4 years, and all I own is her and my piece of horseshit amp. I'm extremely proud of her, cause it's very hard to get this type of shit in Brazil, especially with the ridiculous price i paid (it was anoverstock they bought from the old importer, that's why it was so cheap). If it were stolen, i'd have to crap another, cause guitars like this here pop out about once in 84529835729375 years, so if someone stole it i'd be fucked. I love absolutely everything about this geetar, it has all the features I love and want, and nothing I don't need or like (up yours, mr. Floyd Rose!!), so it was the best deal I made in my life. Now I only need to get a good amp :-)
