Okay, from reading the rest of the reviews you should know by now what the specs are. I am writing this review basically to help those who can't go to a store and actually pick on up and look at the details (basically the color, because many people have had hard times choosing a color). But I'll go over the basics: rosewood fretboard, licensed Floyd Rose Bridge, arrowhead inlays, EMG HZ pickups, basswood body (nocely sculpted by the way), etc. etc. You can look at other reviews or at the ESP website for more info. I think I am the only reviewer who got the Titanium finish. Let me tell you it is nice, plus it actually looks somewhat like the picture of it! It is a little darker than the pictures, but it is very sparkly in my opinion and is probably the best finish ESP offers (other than the interface paint jobs of course!) Anyone who has the Gunmetal blue finish will tell you the picture of it on the website or any store is way off. It is very dark, I have seen it in real life. Looking up close you can definitely tell it is a dark blue, but if you are looking for a medium blue of even light blue look elsewhere. Black Cherry is actually like blood red, not bright red like some promo pictures. Midnight Purple is also very dark. Black Gold is very cool, but a little too dark for my taste. The inlays are awesome too. I thought they would be just plain white pearl, but they have that very cool varied color look in it (like abalone inlays, but not as colorful). The matching headstock is awesome too.

Sound : 9
This guitar was made for shredding, and if you play heavy stuff like me it'll suit your needs well. I will probably end up upgrading the pickups to 81s or something, but the stock pickups are one of the best stock ones I have ever played with (for my type of music). This guitar can do rhythms or leads, plus the Afterburner is great. Not too many complaints here.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I've been playing ESPs and LTDs for a couple years now so I am used to the factory set-up. Out of the box the action was super nice and I was flying across the frets. In case anyone wanted to know, I am pretty sure LTDs use GHS boomers for strings. Pickups were nice too, but like I said I wil probably change them, but that's just me. I've inspected the guitar, and there don't appear to be any craftmanship errors. The finish and inlays are incredible like I said. The knobs work well so far.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I am very careful with my guitats, so I can't really tell you anything about the durability. I've bumped it a few times, but it didn't do anything, so I guess I will just give it a 10.

Customer Support : 10
ESP is awesome and they have a life-long warranty. What more do you want?

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 7 years and I got this guitar because I knew I couldn't live without that crazy body. When it came I was even more surprised because everything was so flawless and nice. I have a Jackson soloist which I sold because I needed money at the time, a LTD M-300, and an Ibanez S-520. This is my favorite guitar ever, but partly because I just got it. But seriously this guitar is worth every penny and definitely shreds and rips.

Made last year in Korea I think. Two EMG HZ humbuckers, one volume knob, Basswood body, Floyd Rose copy w/locking tuners and jumbo frets(i think 24 but I'm not sure)

Sound : 10
I play Slayer, Nile, Deicide... lots of death metal, I also play stuff like Guns & Roses and Rush sometimes. This guitar is really good for all of these bands. It is espcially good for the death metal stuff but it can handle classic rock, 80's and other stuff really good too. I played this through a BOSS Metal Zone into a Crate GFX 30 and it sounded really good, I would imagine it would sound a lot better through a better amp but it is still awesome.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The set-up was good but since it came with 9's and I use 10's I took it to get set up for 10's right away. There were no flaws except for the 12th fret on the e string which doesn't ring clearly when you are not plugged into an amp. But I can over look that since it's not noticeable once you are playing through an amp. I'll still take off a pint for that though

Reliability/Durability : 10
I haven't used this live but I think it could stand live gigs. I put in strap locks right away so I don't know how good the original strap buttons were. I have had this for almost a year and has given me no problems at all.

Customer Support : 10
Never dealt with them but it has a life-time warranty so that's a 10

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for a little over two years, this was my third electric. I love this guitar, next to the Jackson SL2 soloist this is my favorite. It plays, feels and looks amazing. If it were stolen I would buy another one right away. If you play metal and you want a really good guitar but don't want to spend a fortune get this, it kicks ass!

This guitar was made last year in Korea. A twenty-four medium/jumbo fretter, with locking nut and Floyd Rose locking tremolo. There is just a volume knob, and the pickup select, there's also an Afterburner. Sounds spartan, but it really gets the job done! It comes with to EMG HZ-1s and man, are they awesome, the bridge one is great for burning, screaming leads, and the neck is good with a clean effect. The mid makes a great rhythm setting. Mellow warm tone on clean, but with really clean-cut highs, and it doesn't muddy the lows. These are passive electronics, but as stated, they are AWESOME! My finish is the gunmetal blue, but of course Musician's Friends made it look a lot lighter in the photo. But this one is cool, too. It has a basswood body, maple neck and I am not sure, but I think a rosewood fingerboard. It's broken glass body styling is great, immediate comfort, fits like a glove.

Sound : 9
I like to play a lot of Metallica, especially Kirk's stuff. This is the kind of guitar that you could play the intro to One or Fade to Black on, and then flip the pickup and do the leads with no problem. It has a little buzz, as normal, if in front of the the amp. My one gripe is the trem; it is fine for like two or three pushes, then you have to tighten the bar again or it swings around. You can also hear the springs on it on the clean channel every now and again. However, with a life-time warranty... I use a GX-130 Crate head, and Peavey Cab in conjuction with a Boss GT-3, with this combination, I can pretty much nail whatever I am after tone-wise. By itself, it has really good tone, warm, but good defined ranges. I really like it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The action is great. Three people have asked where they can get one. Everyone who has played it loved the action, and the fit. The finish could be a bit more durable, but I'm a little too rough on my axes, too. I loved the pickups out of the box, though I backed 'em up a bit on the neck pickup. Other than the trem, it has been flawless, and I don't use the trem too much anyway.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar can take a beating, sadly enough I can verify this fact. It has really good hardware, the nut seems really solid, if that makes any sense. I put straplocks on, but the stock ones were good enough for casual playing, I guess. I would always recommend a backup, but I've done gigs with it only (not my preferance) and it performed terrifically, nothing but praise for it from me or the crowd.

Customer Support : 9
I haven't dealt with them much, but come on, a life-time warranty right out of the box? That bodes well in my opinion. I have never had to get it repaired, my one gripe is the lack of ESP stores in my area, but there is one really good one, so I guess I'm OK.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing about 6 years. I have a Yamaha PR-630 keyboard, Roland KC-300 amp, Electrovoice mics, Peavey Predator turned baritone, Sigma acoustic and a no-name classical from Spain. This and the afore mentioned setup. I wish they had more finishing options, this thing would look awesome in natural satin finish. I would DEFINITELY buy this puppy again, I even liked the feel of it more than Paul Reed Smith's that I have played, it is my one guitar now! It is so playable! I practice on my spanish a lot, and when you get on this sucker, you burn. I compared it to Gibson, Epiphone, PRS, Yamaha, Peavey Wolfgang (almost similar feel),Fenders, and a couple smaller names. It beat 'em all for feel and value. I hope to get a custom guitar here in a bit, and I am ordering it from ESP. They're the best!

This guitar has only one volume knob, which i don't really care because i dont use tone or that shit and i dont think it really makes that much of a difference. It also has a floyd rose trem, its not an original, but theres really no difference. You can get it in black, gunmetal blue, purple(why?), and i think titanium. I got gunmetal blue. they used to have it in black cherry which i really wanted but they stopped making them once i got the money for it which really sucked. its a basswood body and im not positive but i think a maple neck. it also has two EMG HZ's

Sound : 10
This guitar is great for anyone playing rock music to death metal. Its great for what i play: metallica, nirvana, godsmack. right now im using a marshall 80 watt amp and a dod effects pedal, and i can even get a nice jimi hendrix sounds goin too. the pickups to me are much quiter than any guitar ive played. i love the sound of this guitar and i dont think anyone out there wouldnt like it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The color on this guitar looks great, its like really dark blue and looks black most of the time but to me if you look at it at a certain angle it looks green. the action is so awesome i can fly on this gutiar it makes playing other guitars seem like work. it has a hell of a cutaway so you can easily get into the upper 24 frets.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I think this guitar would be pretty reliable on the road but always have a backup because you never know. the hardware seems really durable and the finish seems to withstand bumps. the strap buttons might need replacing if you play really hard but otherwise they are ok. i would probably trust this guitar with my life. i love it.

Customer Support : 10
i never really dealed with them but it has a lifetime warranty so thats cool. i dont know why they stopped making black cherry though.

Overall Rating : 10
I LOVE THIS GUITAR AND I AM GOING TO HAVE IT for the REST of mY Life!!!!!!
for the price you cant beat it . noone could beat that quality with the price.

This guitar was made in 2000 in Korea, although it was inspected in the US. It has 24 extra Jumbo frets and Is a Solis bass wood body guitar. It only has one knob (volume) which looks cool but sometimes can be a bother, but not really since the tone knob i dont use that much. It has 2 EMG HZ humbuckers Which are passive. They really crunch and give a very heavy sound. The body which i said is basswood. the neck is maple with a rosewood fretboard. It has an AWESOME shape for the body which is hard to describe. like broken glass. The bridge is a Floyd Rose liscense. It comes with LTD special sealed tuners, which are Really cool. hardware is all black. It came with cable whammy bar alan wrenches (the usual).

Sound : 10
It suits my styles of music very well, i am a huge pumpkins fan and i also like death metal, and this thing covers all of my music needs, i can even get a jazzy blues classic feel, alternative rock, or an all out crunch. I use a fender champion 112 with it (the amp is OK.) The only thing that bothers me is that the pickups hum a little when using high gain and/or treble. It has a large range of sound. More of a full sound. it, like i said before has a big sound range, crunches, shreds, jazz sounds, mostly heavy distortion though. I love this guitar SO MUCH. I like pretty much everything about it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This guitar has perfect action. The pickups were adjusted nicely. Everything was routed cleanley. Surprisingly, all of the frets and hardware were perfect there was not one flaw on this guitar, and it holds tune very very well, probably because of the locking nut. the pickup selector was quiet. I absolutely love the finish on this guitat, it is awesome. the color (gun metal blue) is so awesome, and the shape is very unique.

Reliability/Durability : 9
the guitar i think could withstand live playing everyhthing will last for a long time i can be sure of that, the finish is done very nicely, it is very scratch resistant, i havent made one pick scratch on it and iv'e plyed it for extended periods of time. The finish is very cool. The strap buttons seem pretty solid, i could depend on it. I would use a backup, however, because i am prone to accidents and i would not want to be left without a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have never dealt with the company, i doubt i will have to. It is a lifetime warranty so i don't think it could be any better.

Overall Rating : 10
Iv'e been playind for 2 years and i own a fender strat and the f-200. I like the F-200 way more. I would definitely replace it if it was stolen or lost. I don't really hate anything about it except that the humbuckers buzz a little. I love most of the features, but i wish it came with EMG 81's. I would like to finish by saying that I really love this guitar and will be using it for years.

the guitar was made in 2000. i think it used to be a bass guitart design, but then they made it a guitar. it has 24 xj frets, two humbuckers, one volume, no tone knob, and a floyd rose trem. mine came with a case.

the floyd rose took some getting used to, but now that i figured it out, it's totally cool. it's really easy to set up, actually.

i don't miss the tone knob TOO much, but it would be kind of cool to have one just in case i got the urge.

the one knob it does have, the volume one, is kind of loose. if you turn it all the way either way, it will continue to turn after you have turned it all the way up or down. i think that it's just a problem with like a loose screw or something that i could probably easily fix if i opened up the back compartment, but i haven't really felt like doing that yet... i'm lazy.

the pickups, by emg, i believe, are hotter than on my epiphone les paul standard. they get too muddy when played through my big muff, but they are just right for my boss power driver. i especially love the lead tone. it's good for tapping. the design of the guitar (it's really hard to describe what it looks like... like jagged glass or something) screams metal, but it has a surprising range, even without the tone knob. even though i use it mostly for screaming leads, the clean neck pickup isn't too shabby, but it could be better.

there is little or no fret buzz. that makes me happy. it had a longer neck than i am used to, but i got used to that pretty quickly, i can't remember the exact scale length.

Sound : 8
like i said before, the body style of the guitar makes you want to play metal, and it can do that well. hotter pickups would have been good and made for a better metal sound, but it does fine.

i play it through a marshall jcm-800 into two risson 4x12's (anyone know where i can get cheap marshal cabs?). the effects i use before include the afformentioned big muff and power driver, as well as a chorus ensemble, a harmonizer (both boss) and an ibanez flanger.

while the guitar lends itself to those effects well, it can cut through them and avoids becoming to "muddy", if that makes any sense.

one complaint i do have is that there is too much treble when you use the chorus pedal and the bridge pickup and, thanks to the lack of tone knob, you can't do anything about that but change pickup.

also, i have tried to use my ebow with it several times, but it hasn't worked very well. i don't know why this is, but i can't get the ebow to work. i don't know how many people this will be a problem for, but i thought it worth mentioning

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
the finish on this guitar is awesome. i got the gunmetal blue one, and it's damned awesome. it's very dark, almost black. there are some metallic sparkles in it. i have banged it up a few times, but there hasn't been any damage to the finish, so it holds up well. the only drawback is that it's so shinny and stuff that fingerprints show up very easily. minor drawback.

out of the box, the action was great. i didn't adjust it at all. it was right where i like it.

other than the problem with the knob that i mentioned before, the guitar was almost perfect out of the box, i was very happy.

Reliability/Durability : 7
i haven't had a chance to play live with this guitar yet, but i am looking forward to it later this month. i can't wait to be onstage with it, it will be a showstopper.

i won't play it without a backup, mainly because i'm a paranoid guy. in reality, though, i wouldn't freak out TOO much if i could only have one guitar... UNLESS i was playing a set that involved a drop d tuning. i keep the f-200 in standard, and since it has the floyd rose trem with the locking nut and stuff, it would be a bitch to have to rapidly change the tuning... in fact, it would probably be down right impossible. that's mainly why i keep my other guitar with me, not really as a backup, but so that i can play drop d songs.

the only thing that freaks me out is that loose knob, that may be a problem in the future, and i will have to get it fixed soon. that's the only thing that keeps the guitar from getting a higher rating.

Customer Support : No Opinion
life long warrenty, i believe.
haven't dealt with the company.

Overall Rating : 9
i've been playing for about 4 years. i have an epiphone les paul special, which kinda sucks, in addition to what i mentioned before. this is my second guitar, and i think it was a damned good choice. i wouldn't recomend this as a first electric, simply because the floyd rose can be very intimidating. i was scared of it at first.

i tried out some peavy guitars before i decided on this one, and i definitely made the right choice. the peavy had an interesting feature that the people at ESP should consider adding to the design of the f-200: the peavy also had a floyd rose trem, but it had a little thing you could pull on the low e string and it would instantly drop it down to d. the guy at the store told me that eddie van halen has that on his guitar. it was really a great feature, and i hope iw as able to explain it well. this would have been a great feature on the f-200 because metal songs are often in drop d, and i personally alternate tunings often.

still, i LOVE this guitar. if it were lost or stolen, i would replace it as fast as i could. i would cry for days, no joke. it is a great value, a wonderful guitar.
