Korean, 22 fret, 24 3/4" scale, 1 v 1t 3way pup select, Duncan phat cat neck, Duncan Screamin demon bridge, Mahogany body, ... etc. the other folks have described it pretty well.

This is pretty much a guitar for a shredder or metal kind of person. I guess you could blues it up or jazz out with the neck's phat cat. The bridge pup is for thrashing and shredding though. Due to the different natures of the pups, you can get a variety of sounds and they have it wired to get a nice sound when they are mixed.

Plays great!!!
Actually, mine happens to be one of the guitars played at Sam Ash in Charlotte, NC when George played a clinic here. He seemed to have no probs with the set-up and neither do I.
This was on display for several months after he played that clinic and no one bought it, but I happened to come in right as that model was discontinued and marked down.

Everything seems great. This is a solid guitar and I think it will be very dependable for years. I don't bother with manufacturers on issues with guitars usually. If I get it and something happens immediately, I take it back to who I bought it from. If something happens after a year or so, I just do what needs to be done.

I've been playing since January of 84. 24 plus yrs and I have traveled thru different genres and styles. Home is where the heart is and my heart is in Metal. I saw George Lynch play several tines in the late 80's and I've always thought he was an underrated guitarist. He quite seriously jams. I am not up to his level, but only hope to aspire to what he has accomplished. I believe this guitar is by far the most solid and playable instrument I have had in my hands in the last 24 years. I own or have owned Gibson, Fender, Ibanez, Schecter, Peavey, Epiphone, Eastwood, Aria, and others.

Like the review below, this is the Korea-made LTD 600-series version of the George Lynch Super V. Mahogany body and set neck, rosewood board with 22 of the largest frets this side of a railway track, Seymour Duncan pickups, Tone-Pros ???locking??? bridge. Unlike Mr Scarys other guitars this has the shorter Gibson-style scale length, which suits the wood just fine.
Finish is a flawless translucent cherry red which is a lot darker (and nicer) in the flesh than it looks in photos. The mirror pickguard is classy and sets off the chrome hardware very well.
The Tone-Pros bridge and tailpiece is a good update on the tune-o-matic design ??? for once the product lives up to the marketing hype. Whether or not the ???locking??? feature makes any difference (small grub screws clamp the bridge and tailpiece to their posts) is hard to tell, as the sheer chunky size of it and the quality of the metal must have more of an impact on the solid, clear tone.
The pickups are excellent. Seymour Duncan Phat Cat (an overwound P-90) and Screamin??? Demon in the bridge are perfectly matched, output wise. Before I got the guitar I was thinking of replacing the Screamin??? Demon with something with a higher output but I won???t bother ??? this thing has plenty. The Phat Cat is just sublime ??? its everything I???ve been looking for in a neck pickup. Also, with their chrome covers and pole-pieces, they look awesome.
Oh, the machineheads are Spezrel locking tuners. Took some getting used to and they look a bit funny with their shortarse posts but the thing stays in tune so I guess they work.

The overriding thing about this guitar is how solid it sounds. The Mahogany makes it dark and the chunky bridge gives it sustain for days.
For clean picking and chords every note stands out. Turn up the overdrive and you have a smooth, creamy tone thats still clear. For high gain you get a brutal chunky sound thats focused with a (excuse me) tight bottom.
In short, whatever you play on it and however you set your amp its bloody lovely.

I bought this online from a 'box shifter', so it turned up with dead strings that were Super High off the fretboard. I know some people like a high action (Yngwie for one) but this was just silly. As I said this was from a big boxshifter place so thats to be expected, and certainly no reflection on ESP.
So I changed the strings and brought the action down to as low as the Tonepros bridge went, which was still a little high. Oh dear... Thats the first guitar I've ever seen that suffered from having a bridge that didn't go lower than the frets. Still, its only a hair above how I normally have things and I suppose it'll make a man of me.
One word about that scratchplate - I've seen one of these advertised on Ebay where the pickups were changed so they've obviously had to take the scratchplate off to rewire it. As a result theres a crack around one of the screwholes. No problem on mine, but its put me off ever tampering with the thing! Normally I take my guitars to bits all the time, even when theres no reason for me to do do it. But not this thing!
Pity then, to give this an 8 for the bridge problem alone as that is pretty serious. Everything else on this is perfect and of a very high standard.

Ah! The biggest headache with the Super Vis its size and shape. Unless you pay an extra ??110 for the bespoke case you'll have to carry it around in a large bin bag. And, you'll have to get one of those tall clamp-stands like the Hercules thing as its asymetrical shape makes it fall off floor stands.
Apart from that, its built so well I'd use it without a backup. Rock solid indeed.

This thing turns heads like no other guitar I've ever strapped up. When you step on a stage with one of these you'd better deliver the goods. It takes names.
It's a thing of beauty and sounds REALLY nice. Just gotta save up for that case now. Damnit.

This guitar is kind of a Randy Rhoades V Shape meets the Jetsons. It is an assymetrical V w/ a more rounded shape. It is made of Mahagony, has a set neck, and has a tone pros bridge. Mine has the flat black finish with a mirrored pickguard. This is an LTD Model, so it is made in Korea.

This guitar sounds very good distorted due to the Seymour Duncan SH-12 bridge pickup and mahagony body. I really like the tone, as it is thick, but not muddy like my Les Paul. I am playing it through my 5150 combo amp on the high gain channel. I haven't played it through my Fender Twin yet, so I don't know how well it cleans up. I can say the Phat Cat humbucker at the neck sounds very bluesy and reminds me of the stock neck pickup on my Les Paul. I play mostly rock and metal, and this guitar sounds great w/ these styles of music.

So far I have no gripes on setup. I bought a factory 2nd, but I still can't find the flaw. I was told by the dealer it was a nick on the headstock, but I don't see anything.

As with all pointy guitars, the ends of the V might get chipped over time. Oh well, that just means it's not collecting dust, and I'm playing it enough.

I found ESP to have questionable customer support many years ago, but with the great LTD products they are putting out now at extremely low prices, I can't complain.

I have been playing about 20yrs and have 3 other Lynch ESP's, 1 Mustaine Y2KV, 1 Mustaine Axxion, 1 Fender Am Std Strat, 1 Fender Yngwie, 1 Gibson Les Paul, 1 Gibson SG, 1 Jackson Vinnie Vincent, 1 Kirk Hammett LTD (a bargain), 1 Peavey Vandenberg, 1 Gretsch, some accoustics, and a Sarzo Bass. I love to play rock and metal, and obviously enjoy playing signature model guitars. I really like this guitar so far. I haven't found any flaws with it yet, but I haven't owned it very long. I saw that they no longer offer the LTD version of the super V, so I'm glad I picked this up!!!
