Made in 2000, Korean. Its 24 frets. One volume, one tone, nice 3 way selector. It's packing two Duncan Designed hums. The wood is a very nice looking ash. fretboard is rosewood I believe. Strat body, bridge is tune-o. I think the warranty card says gotoh tuners. For the discounted price you could find a better axe.

I play in a couple bands. My main band is kinda like my solo thing. I play guitar with a backing band that changes from time to time, usually friends. My style is a mix of Jerry Cantrell, Zakk Wylde, Adam Jones. Some Metallica & Megadeth influence too. This guitar is great. I use this with a Peavey Studio Pro 112 and depending on venue size i use it to run some cabs. I also use a chorus pedal, Marshall Jackhammer, Big Muff, ProCo Rat, and Dunlop Wah. The sound is incredible. Think Adam Jones's (Tool) clean sounds mixed with the killer distortion of Jerry Cantrell's "Them Bones". This guitar is not limited to anything. I was banking on buying a Les Paul from a friend then I found this beauty on CLEARANCE at MarsMusic and I figured I would save some money. The only sacrifice was in overall craftsman quality. The sounds are right on.

It was all good. MarsMusic had this baby ready to go. No flaws, nothing. I did adjust the p/u screws for my own liking though, not a big deal.

I got this axe back in June of 2001. No problems and I've gigged atleast 50 times with this as my main stage guitar. I got some LTD M-series guitars I use in various tunings. Cant touch this one though. And I'll admit I dropped this SOB twice and its still killer.

I've been playing bass in various bands for 6 years now and took up guitar 2 years ago for a change of pace. This guitar is incredible...I think I robbed it from MarsMusic...just too good of a value. I dont think there is ANY difference between this H-200 and the newer line H-201. GET ONE!

this is a korean made, ash body, maple neck, rossewood fretboard, 24 med. jumbo frets. i had the duncans but replace them with an EMG81 at the bridge and an EMG 89 at the neck. these are much better pickups than the stock ones you get. it also lets you be more versatile with the guitar. the finish is a clear wine color, very nice. the tuners are cheap but what do you want for $400. i wish i got a case.

i needed another guitar to compliment my different styles. i like the feel and the fast neck on these guitars, they are very easy to play. the pickups give it a lot more tone than normal, but i like the fat strat type sound. i use a hughes & kettner vortex, and the sound in cool, not for everyone, but for a limmited budget under a grand you cant beat the sound!

the guitar was set up ok, but i jhave to bring it back because i removed the strings and put in the new pickups, which i highly recomend if you like to have fat tone, but other than that the neck and the action are fine. the only thing i noticed that there were some cracks in the finish around the neck joint. i thought they were cracks in the wood but they are just in the finish, oh well, i cant say everyhting is perfect.

i have had the guitar for two months and changed the strings, the pickups and all, and this guitar stays in tune better than my les paul! it never goes out of tune, not even the pesky G string. i dont see this guitar being around for ling, you get what you pay for and if i get 5 years out of it then i spent my money well. i think it is good enough to gig with, but you have to be careful and take care of things.

i traded in an early 90's schecter strat, and that was a cool guitar, i thought this one felt better and sounded better, maybe the schecter was built to last, but in the short term this is the guitar i want. for a retail price of around$400-450 you cant go wrong with this axe!

24 fret maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, archtop ash body, two duncan designed humbucking pickups. Very nice transparent black finish. A no nonsense meeat and patatoes guitar.

I play a wide range of musicial styles. I run the guitar through a Rivera Knucklehead 55 and a Marshall 1936 2x12 cab. The guitar sounded ok with the stock pickups but was a little lifeless. I replaced them with a duncan jb and an alnico II pro in the neck.
The tone is very fat. I had to adjust my amp settings to bring back some top end though. (My other guitars have maple tops.) I don't know what the guys below is talking about, I solo on this guitar all the time...

When I got the guitar, the action was a little high for my tastes. I got rid of the .009 guage strings, put on a set of .010s and dropped the action to 1/16 accross the board and it plays like a dream.
The finish is very nice. the wood on this guitar has a very pleasent grain and shows through nicely. over all I am pleased in this catagory.

This is a well built guitar. For the beginner or the experienced. I have a 1974 Les Paul Custom and wanted another guitar with the same basic features to play on nights that I didn't want to take my LP to gigs. This is exactly the guitar I was looking for. I've been playing for 10 years and have had several guitars throughout that time. This one ranks high on my list.

It's korean, 24 frets (which i love) it's gone a volume knob and a tone know, it's got two duncan design humbickers whihc are pretty good with distorsion. physically is beautyful!

i mostly play hard rock but go melodic sometimes, it suits the hard rock part and it doesn't hum with high gain setting etc. but playing chords in clean doesn't sound too bright, if you a soloist you might wanna try something else, you can solo here but i think it's not made for that.

1999 Korean-made archtop-strat hybrid. 24 fret maple neck, beautifully grained ash body, natural body binding, white neck & headstock binding, side block inlays. H/H Duncan-Designed pickups, tune-o-matic bridge. One volume, one tone knob. Somewhat flattened-"C" shape neck. Transparent black cherry finish. No accessories whatsoever.

Decent-sounding guitar. I'm not a big fan of the "fake" Duncan pickups; they tend to sound best in Mahogany bodied guitars. They're clear and loud enough, but just seem to lack character. Like most of my guitars, I'm sure this one will benefit nicely from a set of real Duncans, most likely a JB bridge and '59 neck. Tone-wise, it's a very interesting guitar; it's got the "crisp" tone of an ash body, but the tune-o-matic and stop tailpiece give it a fuller sound than a Fender-type bridge normally would. Good marriage between a Gibson and Fender sound, kind of a "bright Les Paul" with the tightness of a longer scale, which was what I was looking for. Rating is for sound with stock pickups. I play through a number of setups, including a Crate Blue Voodoo half stack with minimal effects, and a Peavey Special 212 Transtube either alone or using an RP-7 as a preamp.

The finish and workmanship on this guitar are for the most part fabulous. It's easily the most beautiful guitar I've owned. There were a few in the store, and I found one with an incredibly complex grain pattern. There's a very small gap at the bass side of the neck joint, but much better than some very expensive Fenders I've seen. The block inlays are a bit sloppy; I think they could've improved a bit there, but otherwise a simply gorgeous instrument. Setup was so-so. Intonation was pretty close except on one string, but the action was really low (less than 1/16")and I was getting some terrible string buzz. Backing off on the truss rod, and raising the bass side of the bridge a bit, I was able to get 1/16" on the treble strings and about 3/32" on the bass strings at the 24th fret with no buzzing anywhere on the fretboard. Not too bad for a $450 guitar. The neck/body joint is sculpted and quite comfortable. Not quite as easy as an Ibanez all-access, but certainly much better than a traditional block joint

Very solid, well-finished guitar. I'd depend on it with no reservations whatsoever, but it's just silly not to have a backup.

This is a great guitar. With a little setup work (which I enjoy anyway) and a set of real pickups (which are already on the way), this will easily be my favorite non-tremolo guitar. I've been playing for 18 years, and have owned dozens of guitars, including Charvel, Yamaha, Gibson, Hamer, Samick, Kramer, Peavey, Epiphone, and others. This is part of my collection that I don't think I'll ever be getting rid of.
